Quick Transmigration: The Host is Forced to Love!

140: Chapter 140 The Underworld Boss’s Benefactor 6Soon, only Lu Zhan and Leng Yan remained in the empty basement.

After saying those words, Leng Yan remained quiet. He did not care about the reactions of the others, only silently waiting for Lu Zhan’s response.

Lu Zhan frowned slightly, his thin lips pressed tightly together. He stared sharply at Leng Yan, as if trying to see into the depths of the other man’s heart.

He knew of Leng Yan’s feelings for him, but that was in the past. Having endured the humiliation and threats he had inflicted upon him back then, he did not believe the other man could truly act without any lingering resentment.

That was why he had spoken such harsh words again just now. He thought that regardless of whatever motive Leng Yan might have now, he would surely be unable to bear the insult and simply walk away.

However, although the other man’s expression had been gloomy to the extreme, he had ultimately reined it in completely. Not only did he not leave in a fit of rage, but he had instead spoken those words with sincerity and earnestness.

It would be impossible to say that Lu Zhan was not moved by this.

The old saying goes that when a tiger falls to the plains, it is bullied by dogs, but now that he had fallen from a high position and was in such a wretched state, it seemed he had not been looked down upon by the other man in the slightest.

Lu Zhan understood in his heart that his words just now had hurt the other man, but he could not bring himself to apologize. He had grown up never having apologized or admitted fault to anyone.

”I know.”

The voice was extremely light and low, but this was the greatest apology he could express.

Upon hearing these words, Leng Yan looked at Lu Zhan with affection. The smile on his face deepened, and a flash of pleasure crossed his eyes.

He knew his Young Master’s temperament well. For the Young Master to be like this was already equivalent to an indirect apology to him; how could he not be happy?

He even unconsciously wondered if this meant that the Young Master’s dislike and rejection of him were not as severe as before.

Although he had long decided to force the Young Master if necessary, it would naturally be better if it were mutual affection.

”Young Master, let’s go back to B City together.”

Lu Zhan did not say any more harsh words. He nodded slightly, then slowly rose to his feet.

During this period, his appetite had been poor, and he hadn’t eaten much every day. He hadn’t felt it while sitting, but as soon as he stood up, Lu Zhan felt a bit dizzy and almost lost his balance.

Leng Yan hurriedly reached out to support Lu Zhan, his eyes filled with heartache and worry.

”Young Master, what’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell somewhere?”

Lu Zhan bit his lip and raised a hand to gently rub his temples, forcing himself to clear his head. Then, as if unwilling to show weakness in front of others, he forced himself to say:

”I’m fine.”

But his unsteady body still betrayed his weakness at this moment.

Leng Yan supported Lu Zhan with extreme care. Gazing at the scars and grime on the other man’s body, his eyes unknowingly turned slightly red, and his heart was filled with pity.

”Young Master, it’s all my fault for arriving late and letting you suffer so much. I will definitely take care of you from now on.”

Lu Zhan curled his lip slightly, appearing completely indifferent to this, and just let out a soft huff.

”Leng Yan, you are really overthinking things. When we return to B City, I still have the Lu family; where would I need you to take care of me?”

Leng Yan did not retort; he simply nodded repeatedly with a gentle expression, signaling his agreement.

The Young Master’s attitude had rarely softened at this moment, and he didn’t want to argue with him now and cause the Young Master to be unhappy for nothing.

Once they reached B City, the Young Master would naturally learn that the Lu family no longer existed. In this apocalypse, survival for ordinary people was extremely difficult, and he would have no other choice but to stay by his side.

Even if there were other choices, so what? Times had changed, and he would never let the Young Master have the chance to leave.

Thinking of this, the corners of Leng Yan’s mouth curled up unconsciously, and a glint of determination flashed in his eyes.

”Young Master, let me carry you on my back.”

After saying this, Leng Yan crouched down in front of Lu Zhan, his tall, straight back bending slightly.

Lu Zhan had intended to say no, but his body was truly failing him at this moment. He sighed helplessly in his heart and then leaned gently onto the other man’s back.

Leng Yan’s arms supported Lu Zhan steadily, and then, carrying him, he slowly stood up and walked out.

Beneath him was a warm, muscular back, like a solid fortress, and the scent of fresh grass and trees wafting from the other man lingered at the tip of his nose...

All of this made Lu Zhan feel somewhat uncomfortable. He had never been this close to anyone before, and his brows furrowed involuntarily.

His lips moved slightly, wanting to say something, but then he saw the glistening sweat sliding down Leng Yan’s temple, and he ultimately chose silence.

Leng Yan was treating him with genuine sincerity; he shouldn’t be overly critical anymore. Although he was arrogant and spoiled, he was not the type of person who couldn’t tell right from wrong!

Lu Zhan pondered for a moment, then finally, with slightly trembling hands, gently wrapped them around the other man’s neck, resting his head on his broad shoulders.

Although Leng Yan could not see Lu Zhan’s facial expression, his Mental Energy remained wrapped around the other man.

He clearly perceived the Young Master’s hesitation, discomfort, contemplation, and final softening—this series of emotional changes.

And now that the Young Master was taking the initiative to be close, it was, to Leng Yan, like a stone thrown into his originally calm heart, stirring up ripples and making his heart flutter uncontrollably!

He just lowered his head slightly, and the Young Master’s porcelain-white, beautiful hands and smooth, delicate arms all came into view.

Leng Yan’s eyes were instantly filled with excitement, faintly shimmering with the glow of lust, and the beast of desire in his heart became increasingly difficult to control.

If it weren’t for the fact that the timing and environment were inappropriate, he would likely have been unable to resist making a move on the Young Master right then.

Taking a deep breath, Leng Yan reined in all his emotions, suppressing the restless urges in his heart, and continued walking forward in silence.

When they came out of the abandoned building, Lu Zhan narrowed his eyes slightly, adapting to the long-lost light.

Leng Yan ignored the astonished and puzzled gazes of the others and, carrying Lu Zhan, walked with steady and firm steps toward the vehicle he had arrived in.

When they reached the car, Leng Yan carefully set Lu Zhan down, then helped him sit inside, speaking in a gentle tone.

”Young Master, it’s inconvenient to wash up and rest here, please bear with it for a moment.”

Lu Zhan nodded slightly and then closed his eyes.

Leng Yan gently closed the car door, then signaled for the others to leave. He walked around to the driver’s seat, sat down, and started the engine; the car shot out like an arrow released from a bow.

Along the way, both of them were very silent.

There was a hint of fatigue between Lu Zhan’s brows as he leaned lazily against the back seat, quietly resting with his eyes closed.

Leng Yan, on the other hand, occasionally glanced at Lu Zhan’s condition through the rearview mirror. His eyes were full of concern, while simultaneously revealing an intensely strong sense of possessiveness.

His Mental Energy had long since enveloped Lu Zhan, silently soothing the person in the back seat.

The vehicle drove like this for nearly an hour before finally stopping in front of a small building that was still relatively intact.
