How am I Being a Gigolo When I'm Doing Door-to-door Sales?

70: WeChat Moments marketingShe adjusted her sitting posture, repositioned the massager on her neck, and then raised her phone to open the front camera.

Finding the best angle with the best lighting, *click*, she took a selfie.

In the photo, she tilted her head slightly with a hint of relaxed enjoyment on her face. On her fair neck, that silver-white massager looked exceptionally exquisite and eye-catching.

She looked at the photo with satisfaction and carefully selected a beautiful filter.

Then, she opened wechat moments and began editing the copy.

After thinking for a moment, she typed out a line of text.

[Today I tried out a new massager from a friend’s company, and the effect is absolutely amazing! [Wow][Wow] My neck pain vanished instantly; it’s truly a lifesaver for phubbers and office workers! Highly recommended! [Heart]]

Feeling it wasn’t enough, she added a supplement below.

[The one I’m using is just the basic model. They also have more powerful Platinum and Premium models to meet all your needs! Why wait? If you’re interested, feel free to DM me~ [Seduce][Seduce]]

After checking it over and confirming there were no issues, she attached the edited selfie and clicked send.

The copy and the image were both ready.

Just as Lan Qingyu was about to click the ”Send” button in the upper right corner, a thought struck her mind like a bolt of lightning.

No!

I absolutely cannot let my mom see this!

Her finger paused, and she quickly opened the ”Who can see” options.

In the group list, she accurately found the group named ”Family” and unhesitatingly chose ”Don’t share with,” then individually selected her mother—Lan Yanran.

She knew her mother too well.

Lin Chao knew her mother. Her mother would definitely know this massager was a product of Lin Chao’s company and would naturally associate it with him.

When she gets asked how she knew Lin Chao, how would she explain?

Mentioning the matter with Zhong Xiaoru and getting scolded as an idiot by her mother again?

After finishing all this, Lan Qingyu breathed a long sigh of relief, as if she had just completed a top-secret mission.

She checked once more, and after ensuring everything was foolproof, she finally pressed the green ”Send” button.

Done!

She tossed her phone aside with satisfaction, preparing to get up and take a shower to wash away the day’s exhaustion.

However, just as she stood up, the phone she had thrown onto the sofa began to vibrate frantically.

Lan Qingyu frowned in confusion and picked up the phone again.

On the screen, a high school classmate group named [Silly Netizens Joyful Gathering] was frantically refreshing messages at a rate of 99+ per second.

And the source of all this was a screenshot she was all too familiar with.

—The Moment she had just posted!

A male classmate named Zhao Lei, who was the most active gossip monger in their class back then, unceremoniously dropped a screenshot of her Moment into the group, followed by a series of jaw-dropping emojis.

[@Lan Qingyu, am I seeing this right? Miss Lan, are you... descending to the mortal world to experience life?]

Zhao Lei’s message was like a depth charge dropped into a calm lake.

The entire group was instantly thrown into a frenzy, boiling with excitement.

[Holy crap! For real? Qingyu, have you started doing micro-business?]

[This change in style is a bit drastic! I haven’t processed it yet!]

[The heiress of Lantu Group personally promoting products? What kind of magical realism plot is this?]

[Lan Qingyu: As long as I work hard enough, my mom can retire early!]

The group was instantly flooded with various memes and banter.

Lan Qingyu looked at those familiar avatars on the screen, her face flushed bright red, caught between laughter and tears.

She hurriedly typed in the chat box, trying to explain.

[Lan Qingyu: Don’t talk nonsense! I’m just helping a friend promote a product, I’m not a micro-business person!]

Her explanation, far from making this group of bad friends back off, was like adding fuel to the fire.

Zhao Lei immediately jumped out again.

[Oho? Friend? What kind of friend has enough face to get our Miss Lan to personally post on her moments?]

Another female classmate followed suit in the teasing.

[Qingyu, come clean, are you in a relationship? [Smirk][Smirk]]

[Definitely! If it’s not a boyfriend, who would believe it!]

[Quick, bring him into the group for us to see! Let’s see what kind of sacred being could pluck our flower on a high ridge!]

The topic, at a speed Lan Qingyu completely failed to anticipate, galloped off in the direction of a strange romantic relationship.

Her head was spinning; she could only type again to clarify.

[Lan Qingyu: I said it’s just a normal friend! How can you people be so dirty-minded! [Disdain]]

[Lan Qingyu: If you keep talking nonsense, I’m leaving the group!]

She sent an ”angry” emoji, trying to reclaim some dignity.

But these guys, who loved watching a scene and didn’t mind making it bigger, weren’t about to let her off so easily.

[Aiyaya, our young lady is embarrassed and angry!]

[Looks like we hit the nail on the head! Everyone, come and watch!]

[Qingyu, don’t be shy, show us what our brother-in-law looks like!]

Lan Qingyu looked at the screen full of ”brother-in-law” and was so angry she almost threw her phone.

These bastards!

While she was busy battling wits with these bad friends and frantically explaining...

Just then, a new wechat message popped up from the top of the screen.

It was from someone noted as ”Uncle Zhou.”

Lan Qingyu’s heart suddenly skipped a beat.

Uncle Zhou?

Zhou Yuankang?!

In her mind, the image of a middle-aged man wearing gold-rimmed glasses and smiling kindly like a Maitreya Buddha immediately appeared.

He was a very important business partner of her mother, Lan Yanran, and the CEO of Kangyuan Group!

She opened the message; Zhou Yuankang’s message went straight to the point.

[Qingyu, what’s going on? Why are you promoting a massager on your moments?]

His tone carried a hint of elder concern and confusion.

[Is your mother planning to venture into the medical device industry?]

Looking at this message, a layer of fine cold sweat immediately broke out on Lan Qingyu’s forehead.

Oh no!

She blocked her own mother but forgot to block her mother’s business partners!

If Uncle Zhou misunderstood and thought Lantu Group had some new direction, and then went to ask her mother about it later... wouldn’t her actions today backfire and expose everything?

Her brain was working at high speed. Her fingertips hovered over the input box for a long time, deleting and re-typing, not knowing how to reply.

Should she just say it’s not a promotion, just helping a friend?

But... Lin Chao had said that for every unit sold, she would get a three percent commission.
