Dimensional Keeper: All My Skills Are at Level 100

Chapter 1663 Terror of the Soul Devouring Sword

Max, who stood directly at the center of the attack, felt the terrifying pressure more clearly than anyone else present.

The moment the gigantic silver sword descended toward him, an overwhelming sensation of danger exploded throughout his entire body.

His expression immediately changed.

For the first time since the battle had begun, Max genuinely felt the aura of death approaching him.

It was not the danger of physical destruction.

Instead, it was something far more terrifying.

Max suddenly felt as though an invisible force had wrapped itself around his soul and was trying to rip it out of his body by force. The strange soul-devouring energy emitted by the Soul Devouring Sword continuously invaded his consciousness while a cold and sinister aura spread through every corner of his being.

Even his Soul Palace began trembling violently.

The deeper the gigantic silver sword descended, the stronger that horrifying pulling force became.

It felt as though countless invisible hands were clawing at his soul relentlessly, attempting to drag it toward the enormous blade in the sky.

”This is bad…” Max muttered as his eyes narrowed sharply.

At that moment, the Soul Devouring Sword had not even fully reached him yet.

The gigantic silver blade was still suspended high in the air.

Yet despite that, Max already felt such overwhelming terror that even he could no longer remain completely calm.

That alone proved how horrifying this weapon truly was.

Max had faced countless dangers before. He had confronted beings far stronger than himself and survived situations that should have been impossible to escape from. However, this feeling was entirely different from anything he had experienced previously.

This sword directly targeted the soul itself.

And deep within his instincts, Max could clearly feel one terrifying truth.

If that sword truly struck him—

His soul would genuinely be devoured forever.

Having personally experienced the horrifying nature of the Soul Devouring Sword, Max immediately understood how disastrous the consequences would be if even the slightest portion of his soul was injured by that weapon.

Damage to the body could still be healed.

But damage to the soul was entirely different. Max had already experienced this before.

Once the soul was harmed, countless hidden dangers and irreversible consequences could follow afterward.

”Damn it!” Max cursed inwardly as his expression darkened heavily. ”At a time like this, I truly wish I could use my real sword.”

At that moment, the figure of the Dragonheart Sword immediately appeared within his mind.

If the Dragonheart Sword were in his hands right now, Max believed that no matter how terrifying the Soul Devouring Sword was, it would never be able to threaten him so easily. The Dragonheart Sword itself possessed extraordinary spirituality and overwhelming might.

Max was absolutely confident it could resist the strange soul-devouring power emitted by Rayʼs weapon.

Unfortunately, the Dragonheart Sword remained with his true body outside the Soul Sealing Painting.

Inside this world, participants could only use the weapons provided by the Soul Sealing Painting itself.

Because of that restriction, Max had no choice but to rely on an ordinary sword.

However, Max was not completely without options.

At the same time that this battle was unfolding, Maxʼs clone had already rushed to unlock the Dimension of Soul. Max knew very clearly that if he could successfully unlock the Dimension of Soul, his control over soul-related powers would increase tremendously.

But the problem was time.

To fully unlock the Dimension of Soul, the clone first needed to pass the trial guarding it. That process could not be completed instantly.

Which meant Max only had one option right now.

He needed to stall for time.

Boom!!!

Seven colored lightning suddenly erupted violently around Maxʼs body as dazzling arcs of divine lightning crackled across the battlefield. The surrounding air exploded repeatedly under the overwhelming pressure released by the seven colored lightning.

Then, a sword condensed entirely from seven colored lightning appeared within Maxʼs grasp.

The moment the sword formed, Maxʼs aura rose sharply.

”Saint Origin Sword Art!”

Maxʼs eyes turned incomparably sharp as he unleashed the full power of the Saint Origin Sword Art without holding back anything whatsoever.

Boom!!!

A terrifying sword light instantly erupted from Maxʼs lightning sword as overwhelming sword intent surged into the heavens. The dazzling seven colored slash carried astonishing sharpness as it collided head-on against the gigantic silver Soul Devouring Sword descending from the sky.

For a brief instant, the entire battlefield trembled violently.

Then—

Boom!!!

A deafening explosion erupted across the eighth layer.

The seven colored sword light exploded with incredible force and actually managed to push the gigantic Soul Devouring Sword slightly upward.

The surrounding participants immediately widened their eyes in shock.

Even Rayʼs expression changed faintly.

However—

Maxʼs expression did not improve at all.

Because although his attack had managed to repel the gigantic silver sword slightly, it had failed to destroy it completely.

The enormous Soul Devouring Sword merely trembled violently in the air before continuing its descent once again.

The terrifying soul-devouring aura radiating from it remained overwhelmingly powerful.

Seeing that scene, Max immediately understood one terrifying truth.

This weapon was far stronger than he originally expected.

”Max, your struggles are completely futile!” Rayʼs laughter echoed madly across the battlefield as the gigantic Soul Devouring Sword continued descending from the sky with unstoppable force.

The silver light radiating from the enormous blade grew increasingly brighter while the horrifying soul fluctuations spreading from it became even more terrifying than before.

”You still do not understand what kind of place this is!” Ray shouted arrogantly while gripping the Soul Devouring Sword tightly with both hands.

At that moment, the strange energy surrounding the blade began absorbing the soul aura filling the Soul Sealing Painting itself. Countless silver streams of energy flowed toward the sword continuously, causing the pressure emitted by the weapon to rise further and further.

The expressions of the surrounding participants changed once again after witnessing that scene.

”This sword…” Jonathan muttered with a grave expression. ”It is actually drawing strength from the Soul Sealing Painting itself.”

Julieʼs face also became incomparably serious.

Clearly, the Soul Devouring Sword possessed terrifying compatibility with this world.

Ray immediately laughed even louder after noticing the shocked reactions around him.

”This is a soul-type weapon!” he declared proudly. ”And this entire world is governed purely by soul power. The longer this battle continues, the stronger the Soul Devouring Sword becomes!”

Boom!!!

A terrifying wave of soul pressure erupted outward once again.

Many nearby participants instinctively retreated farther away while some weaker geniuses even coughed blood after being affected by the horrifying soul aura emitted from the blade.

At that moment, the Soul Devouring Sword no longer felt like a simple weapon.

Instead, it resembled a monstrous ancient entity that was gradually awakening within the battlefield itself.

Ray stared directly at Max with madness and killing intent filling his eyes completely.

”You should stop resisting already,” Ray sneered coldly. ”No matter what you do, your death has already been decided.”

Then his expression twisted further as he laughed viciously.

”You might as well give up and die!”
