Dimensional Keeper: All My Skills Are at Level 100

Chapter 838: Lightnings is the only way

But just as Kevin relished in what he thought was certain victory, a strange buzzing sound echoed through the air—different from the swarm’s noise. It was sharp, electric, and growing louder by the second.

”Buzz—!”

Kevin paused, frowning. His eyes narrowed as he noticed a brilliant light emerging from Max’s right palm. At first, he thought it was a spiritual glow, perhaps a flame or protective rune. But when he focused more carefully, his pupils shrank.

Lightning.

It wasn’t just ordinary lightning, but thick, vibrant blue arcs of electricity that danced around Max’s entire body. It sizzled through the air with crackling intensity, coiling and snapping like a storm caged in human form.

Max’s figure was suddenly encased in a shimmering suit of lightning armor—Lightning Manifestation Armour—its surface pulsing with electric veins, each thrum bursting with power and radiant pressure. He looked like a living thunder god.

”What is this?” Kevin muttered, his voice stiff.

Max’s eyes glinted under the lightning veil, and without a word, he raised his arm and pointed it forward. In the next instant—

”Go.”

The single word was like thunder splitting the heavens.

A barrage of lightning bolts shot out in all directions from his body, surging toward the swarm like divine punishment. Arcs of blue light crackled through the black cloud of insects, each bolt moving faster than the eye could track.

The swarm, moments ago a maddened wall of death, suddenly faltered. The insects shrieked and scattered in fear. Their wings trembled. Their formation broke.

Even the two terrifying Legend Rank bloodthirsty black insects let out distorted cries and tried to turn away.

Kevin’s expression changed in a flash.

”Not good!” he hissed, suddenly sensing danger too late.

He raised his hand, trying to recall the insects with a spiritual pull, but Max was faster. Drawing upon his level 2 lightning concept, Max summoned even more thunderbolts and unleashed them in waves, covering the entire area in a net of pure yang energy.

The bloodthirsty black insects stood no chance.

One after another, their wings were seared off, their chitinous bodies burned through, their cries fading into silence. The air filled with the smell of scorched flesh and the sharp tang of ozone. Only the two highest-ranked insects barely managed to survive, tumbling through the air in retreat.

Kevin’s face was ashen now, his jaw clenched in fury. He immediately stepped forward and caught the two survivors, pulling them into his sleeves before they could be destroyed too. His eyes locked onto Max with the kind of murderous glare that could burn a hole through stone.

”You bastard,” he growled. ”You actually dared to kill my insects... I swear, I will never rest until I tear you to pieces with my own hands!”

”You can’t even protect yourself right now,” Max said coldly, his voice calm yet filled with disdain, as crackles of residual lightning still flickered across his armor. After annihilating the bloodthirsty swarm, he let out a controlled breath, finally sensing a brief lull in the fight.

Without hesitation, he raised his hand once more, this time activating a powerful trump card—Magic Sword Excalibur. The air trembled with energy as golden lights surged out of Max’s palm, forming into an enormous sword of light in the sky, so radiant it seemed to slice through the dim valley gloom just by existing.

The sword hovered for a brief moment, casting a long shadow over Kevin’s figure, before humming sharply and diving down like divine judgment aimed at his enemy.

Kevin’s expression turned grim the moment he sensed the overwhelming power descending upon him. ”Not good,” he muttered, his eyes widening. With desperate speed, he reached into his storage ring and pulled out a black bell—ancient-looking, covered in cursed etchings—and hurled it forward.

The bell rapidly expanded in midair, growing to several meters tall, and emitted a deep, resonating hum that echoed across the icy canyon. As the bell hovered before him, it unleashed a torrent of black light, thick and murky like a tidal wave of ink. Within the swirling darkness, countless ghostly faces appeared—some twisted in agony, others baring fangs in rage.

They howled and screeched as if cursed souls had been sealed inside.

The massive golden sword collided with the black light, and for a moment, the entire valley quaked from the impact. Sparks flew. The golden energy clashed violently against the ghost-filled darkness. In the end, the sword was deflected, swept aside with a thunderous crash that echoed like the crack of the heavens.

But Max didn’t flinch. He watched with narrowed eyes, noting every detail, especially the hideous ghost faces snarling at him through the black light. Their existence might have terrified others, but Max didn’t even blink.

”Futile,” he muttered under his breath.

Without another word, Max’s aura exploded outward. Black flames curled across his shoulders, lightning danced along his limbs, and the air around him warped with raw elemental energy. His body underwent a dramatic transformation as he activated Dragon Scales Transformation.

Gleaming golden-black scales covered his skin like armor forged by ancient dragons themselves, each one glowing faintly with suppressed power. His eyes turned sharper, more beast-like, and in that moment, he didn’t just look like a cultivator—he looked like a god of war.

Then, with the full power of his 700 Draconic Essences, Max raised his fist. The muscles of his arm bulged with coiled strength, and the lightning from his core flowed into his punch.

”Break,” he growled—and then he struck.

Bang!

The punch met the oncoming black light and the cursed bell with unstoppable force. For an instant, time seemed to freeze. Then, the black light shattered like fragile glass struck by a meteor. The eerie ghost faces were torn apart in the shockwave, reduced to drifting dust.

The mighty bell itself let out a groan, as if in pain, before it was sent flying backwards and smashed into the rocky side of the valley wall, cracking in multiple places.

Kevin stumbled back, stunned beyond words. His eyes were wide, pupils trembling. The color drained from his already pale face, making him look like a ghost himself.

”W-What?” he muttered in disbelief.

That bell was one of his strongest defensive treasures, infused with cursed souls and deathly yin energy. It had deflected attacks from countless foes, even blocked a peak-level Legend Rank’s killing blow once.

But now... it had been broken—shattered—by one punch. A single punch from a so-called Master Rank.

Kevin’s heart dropped into a cold void. For the first time, fear began to creep in. Real, bone-deep fear.
