Dimensional Keeper: All My Skills Are at Level 100

Chapter 646: Floor of Inheritance

Max stood at the doorway for a moment longer, the silver key still resting in his palm, watching the retreating figure of Lyra disappear down the hallway. A faint smile tugged at the corner of his lips.

He understood her words—her warning, her expectations, her concerns—but beneath it all, he held a quiet, unwavering confidence in his own strength.

Shaking his head lightly, he turned the key and stepped into the room.

The interior was elegant—too elegant, perhaps. It had the classic layout of a high-tier cultivation suite: a spacious bed with silk sheets, a polished blackwood table, a separate washroom, and a sealed training chamber outlined with refined spirit inscriptions that shimmered with a faint golden hue.

Despite the lavish design, Max didn’t bother inspecting the comfort or aesthetics. His mind was already elsewhere.

He walked straight to the training chamber and stepped inside. The moment the door sealed shut behind him, the world outside seemed to vanish. Sitting cross-legged at the center of the chamber, Max exhaled slowly and took out the object he had stored away for this moment.

From within his storage space, he pulled out a radiant, pulsating orb that crackled with arcs of pure azure lightning.

[Lightning Core: Heart of the Azure Storm]

— Rank: [Legendary Rank]

— Description: It can be used to comprehend level 2 Concept of Lightning.

---

’Let’s see how effective this thing really is...’ Max thought, eyes narrowing with focus as he held the core gently between his fingers. He could feel the lightning humming within it—violent, wild, but incredibly refined.

His instincts screamed at him to devour it whole, to absorb its boundless energy like he had done with countless beast cores in the past. But he stopped himself. He knew better. This wasn’t just a source of power—it was a key to understanding. A reckless move could destroy the insights hidden within.

So, with steady breath and a calm heart, Max began to absorb it—slowly, cautiously—allowing threads of azure lightning to slither from the core and coil into his body. Each strand surged through his meridians like thunder across the sky, but instead of pain, Max felt clarity.

Unlike beast cores, this wasn’t about absorbing raw power—it was about peeling back the layers of a law, understanding its essence. The moment the first stream of lightning entered his veins, Max felt like he had plunged into a storm.

His thoughts flickered, his skin tingled, and his heartbeat thundered like war drums. The energy wasn’t violent, but it wasn’t gentle either—it was wild, arrogant, proud. It danced, not for him, but with him, testing his resolve. As he absorbed more, his consciousness was pulled into a trance-like state where space and time lost meaning.

Within his inner world, he found himself standing atop a barren cliff, lightning crashing across a sky darker than night. Winds howled, and a deafening storm raged endlessly around him. Each bolt that fell struck the land like a divine hammer, tearing through stone and sky with absolute dominance.

There was no order here. No calm. Only motion—blinding, relentless motion. Max closed his eyes and let his senses open. He didn’t resist the storm—he let it in. He let it course through his soul, let it fill his mind, let it tear through his doubts.

Slowly, understanding came—not in words, but in feeling. Lightning wasn’t just an element. It was a symbol of speed, fury, and transformation. It destroyed, yes—but it also signaled change, evolution. It never lingered, never hesitated. It moved forward, always.

Bit by bit, Max aligned his thoughts with this rhythm. He began to move as lightning did—inside his mind, his spirit, even his breath. He saw flashes of moments—of how to move in battle, how to strike with instinct, how to become a blur of judgment that came and left in an instant.

Hours passed, or maybe days. The Lightning Core grew dimmer as more of its essence merged with him. Then, with one final surge of energy, the last trace of lightning from the core vanished into his chest. His body crackled, arcs of blue electricity dancing across his arms and shoulders. In that moment, something shifted.

A hum resonated within him. His soul pulsed like a thunderclap.

The world stilled for a breath—and then—

Max opened his eyes slowly. Sparks still danced around his fingers, and a faint azure glow lingered in his pupils. He exhaled, the air crackling with static as it left his lips.

He could feel it now—his movements would be faster, his perception sharper, his attacks more immediate. He hadn’t just gained power. He had evolved with the storm. A small smile formed on his face as he muttered, ”Second level... finally.”

Max raised his hand, and brilliant strands of lightning crackled across his palm—no longer the familiar purple hue he once knew, but a vibrant, almost blinding blue. The arcs danced wildly, wrapping around his fingers like serpents made of pure energy. His eyes narrowed as he stared at the change.

’My essence of lightning... it’s no longer purple. It turned blue,’ he thought, instantly realizing the cause. It was the core—the [Lightning Core: Heart of the Azure Storm]. The energy he absorbed from it hadn’t just deepened his understanding of the element, it had transformed its very nature within him.

And this wasn’t just about color. No, the shift came with something far more valuable—a trait. If his old purple lightning was merely raw and untamed, a reflection of his early grasp over the element, then this new blue lightning was refined, evolved. It carried with it a singular, dominant trait—speed.

The Speed of the Azure Storm. That was the name that naturally surfaced in his mind. It wasn’t just poetic, it was real. He could feel it in his veins, in the way his thoughts moved faster, how his reflexes sharpened, and how the arcs danced with such quickness that his eyes could barely keep up.

When he fought, when he moved, when he struck—everything would be faster. His entire rhythm would become lightning itself. Swift. Uncatchable. Relentless.

He checked the time through his holowatch and muttered, ”Three days...” A bit more than what he expected, but considering the result—comprehending the second level of lightning concept and transforming his elemental trait entirely—it was more than worth it.

Just as Max was preparing to begin studying the powerful new techniques he had obtained from the citadel, a sharp chime rang in his mind. A notification from the system blinked into existence, halting his movements mid-thought.

---

[Floor of Inheritance has been unlocked in the Dimension of Lightning.]

[Violet Lightning compatibility increased to 30%.]

---

Max’s eyes widened as he read the notification again, then a third time, making sure he wasn’t hallucinating. ”Floor of Inheritance?” he muttered, genuinely stunned. It was something he had never heard before, not even a hint of it.

Up until now, all his dimensions—including flame, lightning, time and spirit—had remained at their basic state, offering him nothing more than a space that would grant him some abilities unique to that dimension. But this... this was different.

A floor inside the Dimension of Lightning? That meant there was more to these dimensions than he had previously known—hidden layers or stages he hadn’t unlocked until now.

And that thought sent a ripple of excitement through him. His heart thumped in his chest, not out of fear, but anticipation.

What kind of inheritance would be inside? And how powerful would it be if it only opened after he reached the second level of lightning comprehension?
