Dimensional Keeper: All My Skills Are at Level 100

Chapter 618: Soul Contract

Aria looked into Max’s eyes, her gaze calm but resolute. She had seen through him completely—the boiling tension in his aura, the unrelenting killing intent in his posture, the way his hand subtly gripped his sword even as he stood still.

He was on the edge. One more reason—just one—and he would unleash everything he had and paint the ground with their blood.

She sighed softly. Things had truly spiraled far beyond what she’d hoped when they first entered the citadel. She never wanted it to come to this.

”Let’s make a deal,” she said suddenly, her voice clear.

”What? A deal?” Just then Elias stood up in shock. His body was still in pain but that didn’t matter as the current situation wanted his utmost attention.

”We can’t kill him. he is too strong. So a mutual deal is our best choice here.” Aria said though voice transmission.

Elias’ face changed several times before he nodded. ”Fine.”

Max on the other hand frowned, the sharp glint in his eyes not fading. A deal? Right when he was about to kill them? What kind of nonsense was that? Was she stalling? Hoping to buy time for someone stronger to arrive?

He was in deep thoughts. But despite his doubts, curiosity tugged at him.

He didn’t lower his guard, but he gave her the space to speak. ”Go on,” he said coldly.

Aria didn’t hesitate. She raised her hand and pulled out a shimmering golden parchment from her spatial ring. It glowed faintly with an ancient, oppressive aura. ”This is a soul contract,” she explained. ”It’s not like regular agreements. If we make a deal on this and both bind it with our soul force, it becomes an unbreakable law. If either of us breaks the terms, our soul gets crushed instantly—no exceptions, no escape, we die.”

She had no confidence in killing Max. His strength, even now, was completely unreadable. A monster with four concepts, draconic blood, a soul almost nearing perfection—and that was only what he’d shown. Who knew what else he was hiding? No, facing him in battle would be suicide.

So she chose the one method that could bind someone like him—an absolute deal that neither side could ignore.

Max’s eyes narrowed. That was no bluff. He could feel the soul-forging essence from the parchment, and it was genuine. Soul contracts weren’t easy to come by, and the one in Aria’s hand seemed to be of high rank.

’This can be useful.’ He didn’t like trusting others. He didn’t believe in blind oaths or pretty words. But a soul contract? That was a different story. It was binding. Absolute. Dangerous. And useful.

”Alright,” Max finally said, the corner of his mouth curling into a cold smirk. ”But first, let me see the description of the soul contract.”

Aria gave a slight nod and waved her hand, gently channeling her mana. The golden parchment floated through the air with a faint shimmer, drifting toward Max until it came to a stop right in front of him. He caught it with one hand and inspected it closely.

---

[Soul Contract]

– Rank: Legendary

– Description: A binding agreement forged with the soul itself. Once signed, the contract links the fates of both parties. Any attempt to break its terms results in instant soul annihilation. Cannot be altered, resisted, or undone without mutual consent or a higher divine artifact. Often used in life-and-death negotiations, forbidden pacts, or deals between powerful beings.

Max’s eyes slowly ran over the glowing lines of script. The aura it radiated was ancient, undeniable. This wasn’t a trick or illusion. It was genuine. Dangerous. Absolute. And exactly the kind of guarantee he needed.

”Alright,” he said, his voice calm but sharp. ”What kind of deal are you offering?”

Aria breathed a subtle sigh of relief. The fact that Max was even entertaining the contract meant she had a chance. ”First condition,” she began, her voice steady and clear, ”is that neither you nor I, nor anyone else involved in what happened inside the citadel, shall disclose any part of it to anyone else. That includes Silus’ death and the results of the trial. If ever there comes a situation where we must talk about the citadel, it cannot include any personal matters or conflicts that took place within.”

Max narrowed his eyes. It was a smart condition. Keep everything buried. No questions. No retaliation. No consequences. A perfect way to cover their own tracks.

”That part sounds fine,” Max said. ”But I want to add something of my own. You and the rest of your people—anyone from the Xuan Family who was with you in the citadel—are forbidden from seeking revenge or using underhanded methods against me in the future. No hiring assassins, no whispering to other forces or to your family, no political tricks. Nothing.”

Aria nodded solemnly. ”Agreed. I’ll add it to the contract.”

Max tilted his head, thinking for a moment more. Then a glint appeared in his eye. ”One last thing,” he said. ”I plan to leave the Lower Domain and enter the Middle Domain soon. I want you to make that possible. Take me there, safely. You must escort me.”

Aria blinked, a little caught off guard, but then her expression softened into something between respect and resignation. ”Fine. I’ll ensure safe passage for you to the Middle Domain. I’ll even take personal responsibility for it.”

”Good,” Max said. ”Now write it all in. Let’s finish this.”

And so, with mana-infused strokes, they etched every word of the agreement onto the golden parchment. When the terms were fully laid out, both party Max and Aria, Elias including the two commanders reached forward and pressed their fingers to the page. A pulse of brilliant golden light flared, wrapping around their hands, their very souls, then vanished in an instant.

The deal was sealed. Their souls were bound by the contract. And betrayal would now mean death.

Aria let out a long breath, the tension in her shoulders finally loosening now that the soul contract was sealed. Truthfully, she had been on edge the entire time. She understood someone like Max all too well.

He wasn’t like the cautious, calculative types who left loose ends in the name of morality. No—Max was decisive. If pushed to a corner, he would not hesitate to eliminate everyone present, erasing any future threat before it could grow.

That kind of ruthless mindset wasn’t rare among the true geniuses of the Middle Domain. In fact, it was expected. And Max had just proven that he belonged among them.

On the other hand, Max also felt a weight lift off his chest. For all his confidence, his one concern before entering the Middle Domain had been the route—how he would get there, whether anyone would try to block his way or create trouble.

But now, with this deal in place and Aria bound by a soul contract to escort him safely, that path was secured. No more worrying. No more guessing. He could now focus on what mattered—getting stronger and reaching his goals.

”Alright, I’ll see you all at the entrance to the fourth stage,” Max said casually, offering a faint smile before his figure vanished into the forest, swift and silent like a shadow drifting in the wind.

Aria remained silent for a moment, watching the direction he disappeared toward. Then she turned to Elias, her voice calm. ”He was really about to kill you, you know.”

Elias swallowed, his throat dry, the weight of that truth hitting him like a hammer. ”Does he not fear anything at all?” he muttered, almost to himself.

Aria shook her head lightly, her expression unreadable. ”That’s how it is. That’s how most real geniuses from the Middle Domain are. Ruthless, fearless, and absolutely determined. He may come from the Lower Domain, but his mind is already honed like ours.”

She paused, then gestured forward. ”Come on. We still have time before the door opens. Let’s look for more treasures, but all of you... be careful. The forest ahead isn’t normal.”

The group nodded quietly, no one speaking. A moment later they followed closely behind Aria into the distance.
