230: Emperor’s MasterEmperor Ancestor Dynasty, Immortal Heaven Palace

”Reporting to Your Majesty, He Province has suffered from severe drought for years, and the people are living in misery! The acting Governor of He Province, Saint Lord Mingluo, has remained indifferent, exploiting the people at will, usurping power, and bringing disaster to the country and its people! He is a thief to the world!

Today, I have ten carts of material evidence and over a hundred witnesses. I beseech Your Majesty to deliver a heavenly judgment!”

In the hall, the Emperor Ancestor Sovereign sat high on the imperial throne. Below, the ministers were divided into two sides, with three rows each. The few at the front all radiated Saint Lord Level fluctuations.

It could be said that these few alone were enough to sweep across all forces in a region, excluding the Dao Land.

In the center of the great hall, a middle-aged man wearing the attire of a Censor stood with his head held high, his eyes wide and his expression cold.

However, his aura appeared somewhat withered; his originally Peak middle stage strength had now almost fallen to the initial realm.

Standing beside him was a middle-aged burly man wearing a deep blue royal robe, his hands hanging at his sides, appearing somewhat distracted.

The Emperor Ancestor Sovereign looked at the two, his expression indifferent. He casually waved a golden light that landed on the Censor, and the Censor’s aura gradually stabilized and recovered.

”Mingluo, do you have anything to say?”

The voice was not loud, but it seemed to shake the heavens, carrying heavy majesty.

Saint Lord Mingluo straightened his robes and bowed to the Emperor Ancestor Sovereign, ”Reporting to Your Majesty, the evidence of crimes stated by Censor Dou is indeed true.

But my ancestors once received the grace of the Ancestral Emperor, allowing me to decide all matters within He Province on my own and act at my discretion. Even if there were improprieties, they were within the scope of my discretion. As the governor of a province, it is impossible for me to follow every procedure perfectly.”

”Within your discretion? Does that mean the Governor is saying you are innocent, and that I, your subordinate, am making false accusations!” Censor Dou glared at Saint Lord Mingluo.

He held an immortal sword bestowed by the Imperial Venerable, capable of beheading treacherous officials in the court; if not for his insufficient strength, he would have already cut off this bastard’s head!

”Censor Dou, please calm your anger. I am not saying you are making false accusations, it is just that the situation was urgent, and my methods inevitably deviated from the regulations. In this regard, I will reflect on myself.” Saint Lord Mingluo spoke, his voice calm, clearly not caring much.

”Urgent situation? Does an urgent situation justify indiscriminately killing civilians and allowing subordinates to commit evil acts? Was the Ancestral Emperor’s grace back then meant to be used this way?!” Censor Dou’s expression was indignant.

The scene of the blood-stained earth was something he had seen with his own eyes; how could it be explained away by just an urgent situation?

Hearing mention of the Ancestral Emperor’s grace, Saint Lord Mingluo’s expression turned slightly cold, and his Saint Lord Level aura naturally radiated.

Censor Dou’s body trembled slightly, but immediately after, his waist token released a layer of golden light that enveloped him, isolating the Saint Lord’s pressure.

”Censor Dou, I advise you to learn more about the facts; what you see with your own eyes may not necessarily be true. As for those rebels, it is already the Ancestral Emperor’s grace that I did not execute their nine generations.

As for what you say about my subordinates committing evil acts, I only look at their achievements, not their methods.” Saint Lord Mingluo said.

”Rebels?! If it weren’t for your ruthless methods and your indulgence of your subordinates’ evil deeds, where would the rebels come from! The Governor’s method of twisting black and white is truly full of loopholes!” Censor Dou gasped for air.

He did not expect that even in front of the Imperial Venerable, this bastard would still dare to quibble!

Saint Lord Mingluo shook his head, ignoring him, and looked at the Emperor Ancestor Sovereign. Bowing, he spoke: ”Your Majesty, my heart is clear to heaven and earth. It is just that my methods were a bit excessive; there is no need to keep an eye on me all day, right?”

The Emperor Ancestor Sovereign lowered his eyes, ”Mingluo, considering the merits of your ancestors and your heart for the country, step down from the position of Governor and spend your remaining years in the Imperial Capital.”

Saint Lord Mingluo’s pupils shrank sharply. Spending his remaining years in the Imperial Capital—was this to place him under house arrest?

In the past, these Censors had impeached him more than once or twice, and the Imperial Venerable had always casually dismissed it. But today, how…

”Your Majesty, I”

Before he could finish speaking, the Emperor Ancestor Sovereign looked at him. The pressure of the Immortal Lord level made his shoulders sink, and he immediately knelt on one knee.

”Where is the Imperial Teacher?”

The voice reverberated, spreading out from the Immortal Heaven Palace. The soldiers outside the hall followed by shouting, ”Where is the Imperial Teacher!”

”I am here.”

An aged figure walked up the steps from outside the hall, his white robe stained with blood. In his left hand, he dragged an Imperial Sword that scraped across the floor, and in his right hand, he held a young head.

The aura around his body had not yet fully calmed down, almost exceeding the Saint Lord Level.

Reaching the hall, he casually threw the head on the ground. The head rolled, rolling to the feet of Saint Lord Mingluo.

Saint Lord Mingluo looked over, his expression changing drastically, ”Zhengzheng’er!”

He looked back at the old man, ”Imperial Teacher! You! What have you done!”

The Imperial Teacher casually brushed the bloodstains off his body, his white robe giving him the appearance of an immortal sage.

”Your Highness Prince He, you secretly colluded with the Four Great Immortal Sects, raised troops under the name of rebels, and intended to rebel. The evidence is conclusive. His Majesty has spared your life; will you not thank him for his grace?”

After speaking, he looked at the Emperor Ancestor Sovereign, ”Reporting to Your Majesty, the Four Great Immortal Sects, over seventy True Immortals, and thirty thousand disciples have all been executed.

The seventy million rebel army entrenched in He Province, as well as over four hundred thousand collaborators in the provincial army and government offices, have also been slaughtered. Over thirty of Your Highness Prince He’s relatives have arrived outside the hall.”

The voice echoed in the hall; although there was no emotional fluctuation, it made everyone shudder.

Saint Lord Mingluo was stunned upon hearing this, falling to the ground in a daze, and after a long while, he blankly picked up his own son’s head.

”Mingluo, I have prepared a villa for you in the Imperial Capital, the scenery is quite good. In the future, you will accompany your relatives and spend the rest of your life in the Imperial Capital.”

The Emperor Ancestor Sovereign waved his hand, and a Saint Lord Level expert from the front row of officials stepped out, helping Saint Lord Mingluo up, ”Prince He, come with me.”

Saint Lord Mingluo hunched his body, his aura surging, as if it would suddenly erupt at any moment, but it gradually stabilized after a few breaths.

He suddenly raised his head to look at the Emperor Ancestor Sovereign, ”Your Majesty, you are wrong! If you do not turn back now, the Imperial Court is in danger!”

”Alright, Your Highness Prince He! Come with me quickly!” The Saint Lord helping him hurriedly pulled him away.

”Your Majesty! Your Majesty! Xiong Laosi!”

Saint Lord Mingluo’s voice gradually became inaudible. The Emperor Ancestor Sovereign looked at the Imperial Teacher, ”Imperial Teacher, you have worked hard.”

”Your Majesty is too kind, this is my duty.”

As soon as the words fell, outside the Immortal Heaven Palace, a ray of immortal light arrived suddenly and smashed directly into the hall.

The immortal light dissipated, and a short figure appeared—it was Sun Xingzhe.

”Monkey, why aren’t you on your Eastern Journey, but came here instead?” The Imperial Teacher asked with a smile.

Sun Xingzhe shook his head in confusion, and after seeing the Imperial Teacher, he hurriedly bowed, ”So it is the Imperial Teacher, why are you standing when you are not sitting up there?”

The Imperial Teacher smiled, ”Just returned from He Province.”

”Oh, I see.”

Sun Xingzhe looked at the Emperor Ancestor Sovereign, ”Imperial Venerable, I, Old Sun, encountered a peerless ruthless person in the Chang Sheng Sword Sect in the Eastern Region. You must help me, Old Sun!”

”A peerless ruthless person? You are referring to that Elder Qin of the Chang Sheng Sword Sect, right?” The Emperor Ancestor Sovereign looked at the ministers below, ”My dear ministers, who is willing to accompany this monkey on a trip?”

After the words fell, the ministers looked at each other, all seeing hesitation in each other’s eyes.

That Elder Qin of the Chang Sheng Sword Sect had been a storm-like existence over the past two days; almost everyone knew of him.

His strength was comparable to seven Immortal Lords, his background was extremely mysterious, and there were even rumors that he was an offspring of an Immortal King from beyond the heavens. Such a person, whether in terms of strength, status, or background, was not someone they could compare to.

Sun Xingzhe looked anxious, ”Don’t just watch! Think of a way for me, Old Sun!”

”Great Sage, it is not that we do not want to speak. It is just that that Elder Qin is indeed not someone we can deal with.”

”Otherwise, Great Sage, why not go to his cave and pay a visit? Maybe he will let you continue your Eastern Journey?”

”Exactly, exactly! This method is wonderful!”

Sun Xingzhe scratched his head in anxiety, his teeth grinding continuously, ”You! You are usually so imposing, why are you cowards now? Trash! Trash!”

The Imperial Teacher watched him scratching his ears and cheeks and laughed, ”Hehe, Great Sage, do not be anxious. How about I accompany you on a trip?”

Oops, I forgot to set the timer, I thought it had updated.
