Holy body, start with the Five Animal Exercises

229: Law of Heaven and EarthOutside Black Wind Ridge, the four people of the Eastern Journey rested in a shady spot after eating.

Tang Sanzang leaned against the tree and looked at Sun Xingzhe squatting on a branch. “Wukong, it seems I won’t be able to fight through this calamity. What do you think?”

Sun Xingzhe scratched his head. “This Old Sun doesn’t know either. How about this, Master? You let Elder Qin capture you, and then I’ll go invite someone to rescue you?”

Hearing this, Tang Sanzang felt it was difficult. If it were an ordinary minor demon on the road, he would usually take action himself and fight straight through.

Occasionally, he would let Wukong handle it.

But now, let alone Wukong, even if the four of them were tied together, they probably wouldn’t be enough for that person to defeat with one hand.

He looked at Zhu Bajie. “Ba Jie, what do you think?”

Zhu Bajie, who had been sleeping nearby, flipped over and sat up. “Master, this Old Pig thinks there’s no problem.

Elder Qin probably won’t make things difficult for you, Master. After all, a person of Elder Qin’s stature naturally knows that the claim that eating you grants immortality is false.

In that case, perhaps Elder Qin just wants to use this opportunity to obtain a portion of Karma power to bestow upon a junior.”

This was the only thing he could think of. That Karma power was still very useful to Initial Stage True Immortals and Middle Stage True Immortals like them.

But for a Saint Lord Level expert, or even a Half-step Saint Lord Level expert, this tiny bit of Karma power wouldn’t have any decisive major effect.

Therefore, given Elder Qin’s strength, he certainly wouldn’t need it himself; it must be for cultivating a junior.

Who knows who is lucky enough to be born with such a top-tier background.

Tang Sanzang frowned slightly. Along the way, the Trial Setters with the highest cultivation he had encountered were only Middle Stage True Immortals.

And they basically just went through the motions, letting them pass once the time was right.

Under normal circumstances, doing as Wukong and Ba Jie suggested would naturally be fine.

But this time was different. It was the first time that a figure like Elder Qin, who virtually stood at the Peak of the Zhongyuan Continent, personally set up a checkpoint.

One could not be too careful when dealing with such an existence.

After all, it’s better to be safe than sorry. If this person really flew into a rage, things might truly turn out as Hun Jianxian said.

Even inviting the Emperor Ancestor Sovereign might not guarantee their safety.

For an Immortal Lord Level master, a mere wave of the hand would be enough to wipe the four of them from this world.

At that point, who would have the power to break into the Netherworld and retrieve their true spirits?

Furthermore, what if that person scattered their true spirits entirely?

He sighed and shook his head. His three disciples only needed to worry about when to eat and when to rest.

But he, as the Master, had many more things to consider. He truly didn’t know who the Chosen One actually was.

While he was pondering, a sound of sword chanting suddenly rang in his ears. One second it sounded like a mosquito buzzing, and the next second it was a sharp whistling.

A flash of light appeared from the horizon. He looked up, and a Sword Tide, like a bolt of silk, surged forth, releasing a might comparable to a Half-step Saint Lord.

“Wukong! Ba—”

Before he could finish his sentence, the Torrent of Swords descended, engulfing his body and sweeping him toward the sky.

“Where do you think you’re going!”

Sun Xingzhe roared, directly swinging the immortal staff in his hand, transforming it into a hundred-zhang phantom that smashed fiercely toward the Sword Qi Torrent.

Buzz~~~

The vibrating sound shook the surrounding space until it cracked. A flash of sword light separated from the Torrent of Swords and slashed toward Sun Xingzhe, leaving a dark fissure in its wake.

Feeling the extremely sharp aura, even just being locked onto made his skin prickle with pain!

“Law, Heaven, Image, Earth!”

Roar—!!!

Following a roar, golden radiance burst forth from Sun Xingzhe’s body.

His originally human face drastically changed, his mouth protruded, four canine teeth grew, and his body swelled rapidly, growing a layer of golden fur.

In the blink of an eye, a hundred-meter-tall Golden-Furred Giant Ape appeared, embracing the pillar-like immortal staff. The aura it released was not weaker than that of a Peak Middle Stage True Immortal.

“Break for me!”

The Golden-Furred Giant Ape roared and swung the immortal staff toward the incoming sword light.

Boom—!

The tremendous sound shook the sky, stirring up rolling smoke and dust. A massive staff pierced through the dust and heavily smashed onto a distant mountaintop.

Besides that, golden Immortal Blood splattered out.

“Roar—!”

A fierce roar dispersed the smoke and dust. The Golden-Furred Giant Ape raised both arms high and smashed down violently toward the descending Immortal Sword.

Zhu Bajie saw the dire situation and rushed forward immediately. He hadn’t expected that person’s attack to be so ruthless!

“I’ll help you!”

Accompanying a furious shout, his body suddenly expanded, transforming into a Black-Furred Boar with sharp tusks, charging toward the Immortal Sword.

In an instant, the three collided. The fractured space was compressed, refracting the sunlight and erupting in a dazzling white light.

One breath later, the white light abruptly retracted, and the surrounding visibility returned to normal.

The Torrent of Swords had vanished. A Golden-Furred Giant Ape lay on the ground, its arms twisted.

Standing beside it was a Black-Furred Boar, bearing a terrifying laceration that ran from its hind leg all the way to its neck, exposing internal organs, and faintly showing its heart beating.

The boar’s form gradually shrank, and the fur on the Golden-Furred Giant Ape’s body also began to fall off, dissolving into golden specks of light.

A moment later, Sun Xingzhe and Zhu Bajie, who had returned to their human forms, slumped onto the ground back-to-back.

“Monkey Brother, that person really didn’t hold back!”

Zhu Bajie gasped for air, pulled out two Immortal Fruits from his Storage Pouch, and gave one to Sun Xingzhe.

“Didn’t hold back? That was just one Immortal Sword separated from the Sword Tide. There were hundreds of Immortal Swords like that in the Sword Tide.”

Sun Xingzhe gave a wry smile. He hadn’t expected the gap between an Immortal Lord and himself to be so vast!

One must know that in his Law, Heaven, Image, Earth state, he possessed strength comparable to the Peak of the Middle Stage!

Was an Immortal Lord truly unreachable?

At this moment, he even felt that his great disturbance in the Imperial Capital back then was a joke.

Sha Wujing walked over, looking at the departing Torrent of Swords, and said, “Eldest Senior Brother, Second Senior Brother, Master has been captured by the demon.”

Sun Xingzhe remained silent, then looked at Zhu Bajie after a while. “Ba Jie, where should I go to invite people this time?”

Zhu Bajie scratched his head, pulling at his wound, which made him wince.

“This person belongs to the Chang Sheng Sword Sect. According to the rules, we can’t go looking for the Chang Sheng Sword Sect. Should we go invite people from the Star Luo Immortal Sect?”

Sun Xingzhe glanced at him. “With those people from the Star Luo Immortal Sect, you and I could fight them together. Wouldn’t dragging them into this harm them?”

Zhu Bajie pondered upon hearing this. The Taiyin Dao Earth in the Northern Region was busy fighting the Exquisite Dao Land, and the barren Southern Region had no Dao Earth Level Forces at all.

As for the Eastern Region, let’s not even mention it, and the Western Region is too far, so...

“How about you, Monkey Brother, return to the Imperial Dynasty and ask for the Imperial Venerable’s opinion?” he suggested.

Sun Xingzhe frowned. If possible, he didn’t want to face the Emperor Ancestor Sovereign.

He didn’t know why, but he just didn’t want to see him.

But there really was no other way right now. Only Immortal Lord Level masters could deal with that person.

“Alright, I’ll go back for a trip. You two go scout out the situation first. Since that person didn’t capture us all together, they should still abide by the Eastern Journey Rules.”

With that, he soared into the sky, a white cloud cutting across the firmament, carrying him away.

After he left, Zhu Bajie and Sha Wujing exchanged glances.

“Second Senior Brother, should we go over and take a look?”

Zhu Bajie waved his hand. “Ah, go, go, go? Go look at what! Are you looking for death? Let’s wait for Monkey Brother to return.”

Inside Black Wind Cave, Tang Sanzang was casually tossed aside. He secretly glanced at the figure sitting cross-legged in front of him.

In front of this figure was a semi-transparent mirror, displaying the scene of Sun Xingzhe departing.

Qin Jiang raised his hand and waved, shattering the mirror into light particles. He frowned slightly.

Tang Sanzang looked ordinary; besides a wisp of Immortal Lord Qi deep within his true spirit, there was nothing special about him.

In contrast, his three disciples each had peculiarities: Sun Xingzhe seemed to be missing one of his Six Roots, Zhu Bajie’s bloodline was somewhat strange, and Sha Wujing’s true spirit also seemed incomplete.

These four chosen for the Eastern Journey are truly quite interesting.
