Holy body, start with the Five Animal Exercises

227: Hunjianxian”Aye! Understood, Master. This old Zhu is off.”

Zhu Bajie shouldered his Nine-Tooth Rake and grinned. Following the Eastern Journey this time was something Master had personally begged the Imperial Venerable for.

Otherwise, it really might not have been his turn.

According to Master, this monk’s background was not simple; he was very likely a Reincarnation, and in his past life, he had been a figure of immense weight even in ancient history.

That was why he could become the so-called Chosen One.

This opportunity was hard-won, and his goal for himself was to serve this person as well as possible. When the day of success came, there would naturally be benefits for him.

Becoming a Saint Lord Level directly was impossible, but it should be enough for him to take that half-step and become a Half-step Saint Lord Level.

This step had trapped countless middle stage Peak experts. Even he had remained stuck here for over ten thousand years without any progress. He must seize this opportunity.

Not long after Zhu Bajie left, he returned, carrying a True God rank tiger demon in his hand. Even as a corpse, it emanated a wild aura.

”Master, please do not blame me. The demons in this region are all of the rough-and-tumble sort and inevitably carry some uncouth air; they cannot compare to what we ate when passing through those Immortal Kingdoms before.”

Zhu Bajie spoke as he skillfully skinned and cleaned it, then skewered and roasted the meat, while also setting up a large pot to boil soup.

”Haha, I didn’t expect such a small Black Wind Ridge to have a demon god lurking here. Ba Jie, you can consider this ridding the world of a pest.”

Tang Sanzang laughed heartily, sat directly on a large rock, and casually propped up his head while lying half-reclined on the ground.

”Hehe, Master, the origin of this tiger demon was likely planted here by the nearby Immortal Sects.”

”I know the faces of these Immortal Sects best. How does that saying go again? Cultivate bandits to increase one’s own importance! Yes, cultivate bandits to increase one’s own importance!”

Sun Xingzhe, holding his heavenly immortal staff, twirled the staff casually and said indifferently.

”Oh? Is that so? It can be like that?”

Tang Sanzang was somewhat surprised, then laughed again, ”Very well! Eat quickly! Once finished, none of you are to make a move; I shall personally raze this Black Wind Ridge!”

”Master, don’t listen to Senior Brother’s nonsense. This is called strategy. Across the entire continent, there isn’t a single sect that doesn’t do this. We can’t manage that.”

Zhu Bajie flipped the skewers with one hand while stirring the soup pot with a spoon in the other.

These places were all private lands of the various major Immortal Sects. Killing a True God rank demon didn’t count for much.

But if anyone truly dared to raze them, that would be declaring war.

”Hehe, you’re right, this is called strategy.” Sun Xingzhe said with a smile, walking to the soup pot and ladling out a bowl of meat soup.

”Too bland, too bland, add some more salt. When we passed through Zisha Kingdom earlier, didn’t we get some snowflake salt? Quickly, add some.”

”I know, I know. It hasn’t even finished boiling yet, you really are as impatient as a monkey.”

A moment later, the fragrance of meat wafted through the air. The four disciples and Master sat together, and Zhu Bajie picked up an extra-large skewer and handed it to Sha Wujing.

”Junior Brother Sha, here! This one is big enough!”

Sha Wujing took the skewer, ”Many thanks, Second Senior Brother.”

”Why be so polite? We are all family!” Zhu Bajie said with a hearty laugh.

When he used to manage the Imperial Dynasty’s intelligence department, he had once seen a secret file.

This Junior Brother Sha of his had once lived in the Flat Peach Garden of Immortal Lord Linglong for a very long time.

What kind of place was the Flat Peach Garden?

That was Immortal Lord Linglong’s forbidden sanctuary. Usually, apart from the Flat Peach Immortal Official who could enter for one day during the once-in-a-century ripening period, when had anyone ever been able to reside inside?

Moreover, in the years that Junior Brother Sha lived in the Flat Peach Garden, the yield of flat peaches had decreased significantly.

Where those missing ones went, it was naturally self-evident.

With such a relationship, to say there was nothing going on...

Hiss~ Slap!

Suddenly, Zhu Bajie sucked in a cold breath and slapped himself in the face. The other three were all taken aback.

”Ah, haha! A mosquito! It’s a mosquito! This blasted mosquito bites me six or seven thousand times a day; it’s truly hateful! Can’t it just round it up to ten thousand? It really makes me angry, it deserves to be slapped to death!”

”Hahahaha! Such fragrant meat! Such fragrant soup!”

Suddenly, a burst of laughter rang out from deep within the mountain range, and a streak of sword light arrived abruptly.

The sword light dissipated, revealing a middle-aged man dressed in the attire of the Chang Sheng Sword Sect. His face was like jade, his beard was divine, and he was extremely handsome.

At his waist was an immortal sword, and in his hand, he held a wine gourd, gulping down fine wine.

”Hun Jianxian? Why are you here? Could it be that this trial is also yours? Do you want to fight me, Old Sun, for another three hundred rounds?”

Sun Xingzhe stood up and lightly swung the immortal staff in his hand.

That previous trial had been very satisfying to fight in; he was actually quite keen on doing it again.

”No, no, my trial has already passed. Who would want to fight you? You only know how to fight and kill all day long. Have you forgotten when you were hung up and whipped by Emperor Ancestor Sovereign back then?”

Hun Jianxian walked toward the campfire while speaking, casually picking up a skewer of roasted meat and eating it in big mouthfuls. One bite of meat, one gulp of wine—he was enjoying himself immensely.

”Patron Hun, pour some of that wine for this monk. It smells like excellent wine!”

Tang Sanzang held up the alms bowl bestowed by Emperor Ancestor Sovereign and extended it toward Hun Jianxian.

”I don’t have much of this wine! I stole it from my dad.”

Hun Jianxian held the wine gourd, measuring as he poured wine into the alms bowl.

Tang Sanzang’s eyes lit up when he heard this. Who was Hun Jianxian’s dad? That was the Black White Sword Ancestor!

An existence in the top tier below the Saint Lord! Even if Zhu Bajie became a Half-step Saint Lord in the future, he would still be half a head shorter than the Black White Sword Ancestor.

The five of them ate and drank, and time quickly reached noon.

Zhu Bajie patted his belly and looked at Hun Jianxian, ”Hun Jianxian, you didn’t just come here to eat some meat, did you?”

In this wilderness, he didn’t believe Hun Jianxian was just passing by, and he certainly wouldn’t believe that Hun Jianxian could smell the fragrance of meat from so far away in the Chang Sheng Valley.

He must have come for a reason!

Hun Jianxian smacked his lips, still savoring the taste of the fine wine. His old man’s wine was truly potent!

Supporting his slightly softened body, he rested his chin in his hand and looked at Zhu Bajie.

”Old Zhu, this time, I actually came specifically—hic—to warn you all.”

As soon as these words were spoken, the four Master and disciples couldn’t help but look over.

Hun Jianxian smiled, ”You should also know that this Black Wind Ridge is the third trial set up by our Sword Sect and the Star Luo Immortal Sect.”

Speaking of this, he looked up at the sky, ”Recording Immortal Official! There’s no problem with me saying this, right?”

Several immortal figures appeared, and the leader did not speak.

If it were normal times, it would naturally not be allowed, but this time it was different. The higher-ups had personally issued an order to stand by and observe this Black Wind Ridge trial.

”You may. The higher-ups have given instructions not to summon us Recording Immortal Officials until the Black Wind Ridge trial is over.”

After saying this, the figures of the Recording Immortal Officials disappeared.

”No, Hun Jianxian, what exactly is it? Why make it so solemn?” Sun Xingzhe asked.

Hun Jianxian let out a hiccup, ”I’m here out of kindness to warn you, don’t you go saying it was me who told you!”

”Rest assured, we will naturally keep our mouths shut!” Sun Xingzhe said.

Hun Jianxian looked around and leaned in slightly, ”Let me tell you, the guardian of this Black Wind Ridge is Elder Qin of our Sword Sect!”
