Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2873: Chapter 2871: Let’s Not Have Any More Children

The couple, Qing Zhu and his wife, thought about going back quickly, while Qin Xue and her family also wanted to hurry home. They had promised the kids to make food, but as it turned out, the kids didn’t care as they had gone to eat elsewhere.

Right now, Qin Xue was wondering if the kids had already fallen asleep when they returned.

”Xue’er, slow down, there’s no need to rush,” Chu Molin said, looking at his wife who was anxious about the kids. He truly wanted her to move faster, but seeing her belly, he had to give up.

”We broke our promise.” Qin Xue felt a bit discouraged; such a small thing couldn’t even be accomplished. It really left her at a loss for words.

”Didn’t the boys say they wouldn’t eat? They told us to take care of our own business,” Chu Molin hadn’t forgotten what their sons had said, so upon hearing his wife’s words, he showed little emotion or response.

”That’s what they say, but in their hearts, they must want it, right? Think about it, they can’t possibly say they want a lot in such matters, can they?” Qin Xue always brought something back for them to eat whenever she went out.

As for what it was, she would just buy whatever she found delicious.

But now, even if she wanted to buy something, there was nothing for sale, so she had to return empty-handed.

But seeing him like this, could she say she was anxious? She wanted to go back and check on Cohen. It’s been a long time since they last saw him, and now they’ve been delayed again.

She hadn’t even had a proper look at him yet, didn’t know how he had been these days, or whether he missed them.

”I know, let’s go.” Chu Molin didn’t say much more, but he was thinking about how to ease his wife’s anxiety. In the end, he had to accompany her, quickening his pace.

All the while, he watched over her from the side, making sure she didn’t trip from walking too quickly.

”Hmm, let’s go. I have a premonition that Cohen won’t be with us for much longer, so I want to take a good look at him.” Qin Xue didn’t know why she suddenly had this feeling, but she trusted it nonetheless.

Her sixth sense about these things was usually quite accurate.

After all, she had avoided many situations by trusting these feelings before.

Now using this intuition to experience other things was quite a good experience too.

”Don’t let your imagination run wild. You know, we’re the ones making decisions for him. Even if someone comes to take him, they have to go through us, so there’s nothing for you to worry about.” Chu Molin couldn’t say much else. When they adopted him, they were prepared for this eventuality, so if it happened now, it was within their expectations.

Moreover, no one has come yet, so his wife’s worry seemed a bit unnecessary.

But how to tell her that, since her instincts tend to be very accurate.

If she said it, then it might really happen, so he felt that perhaps the situation would unfold just as she predicted.

However, he personally didn’t see it as a big deal. Let’s not forget that they, the couple, are Cohen’s guardians now. Without their permission, no one else could directly take him away.

Hence, Chu Molin wasn’t trying to say much more. On the contrary, he just wanted to reassure his wife.

”Hmm, I got it, don’t worry. I can walk steadily.” What else could Qin Xue say? She had to listen to him. After all, it was nighttime, and the street lights were dim and yellow, unlike the bright incandescent lamps of later times.

So after hearing him, she walked carefully and didn’t say much, didn’t do much, just focused on the road beneath her feet.

”Xue’er, if this baby is a girl, let’s not have any more children after this. I just want you to be well,” Chu Molin said, watching over her as she struggled to walk, always protecting her by his side, so this shouldn’t happen again in the future.
