Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2696: Chapter 2692: Xu Jia Is Sick

”I’m just thinking about it, I didn’t say it’s definitely because of the child, don’t be so nervous.” Qin Xue knew that once she told him, he would worry, she shouldn’t have mentioned it in the first place.

”Why didn’t you say anything earlier? No wonder you said that just now, this is truly a big deal for us, we can’t let our child be manipulated by others.” Chu Molin also realized the seriousness of the situation, so when his wife was about to give birth, he wanted to check if it was as Qin Xue suspected.

If it was true, then he’d do anything to hide the child, absolutely not letting anyone discover the child’s unusual traits.

It was Qin Xue who reminded Chu Molin, making both of them think about how to ensure the child has a better life.

In this respect, Qin Xue thought so much mainly because of Xue Ling, who was right.

In the future, she could research some medications to change the child’s constitution, suppressing the abnormalities within, but she feared accidents, so having more help was beneficial.

The child hadn’t even been born yet, but the couple had thought so much already, who knows what they’ll do after the child is born and if things turn out as they said?

”Qin Xue, it really is you! When did you come back?” Yu Xiu was off today, so she didn’t go to the shop. She had just bought some vegetables from the small village, recognized them from afar as Qin Xue, walked faster, and confirmed it was indeed the couple.

Yet they came from S Province, she hadn’t heard anything about their visit, quite unexpected.

”We arrived at noon, just wanted to see you all, you’re just coming back from shopping for groceries? Haven’t had lunch yet?” Qin Xue remembered how they used to buy groceries early, but now it’s past noon, and she’s just returning?

”Jiajia fell ill, with a high fever that won’t go down, I had no choice but to take care of her. Thankfully, I’m off today; Fangfang is doing quite well, so I didn’t go to the shop. After all, the child is the priority, and since she does well, I told her to take a break, so I went shopping to make something delicious for Jiajia.” Yu Xiu knew her daughter didn’t eat well at her grandma’s, so she wanted to make something good to nourish her.

Her daughter would be in preschool, but during the holiday, her grandma said she wanted to take the child to play. As a daughter-in-law, she couldn’t say much and agreed. She later realized her mother-in-law took the child not for fun, but to help take care of the kids.

Initially, she didn’t know, but yesterday the child accidentally slipped when she returned from school, saying it’s better at home, besides school she just reads at home, no need to help grandma take care of siblings, much more relaxing.

That’s how Yu Xiu found out why her mother-in-law wanted to bring her daughter over.

Later, Yu Xiu asked about holiday matters, realizing how biased her mother-in-law was.

Taking care of kids was Xu Jia’s task, but she wasn’t given the good food, and if she didn’t take good care of them, she’d be beaten, scolded, sometimes not even given food, yet told not to tell their parents, the outcome was predictable.

Yu Xiu was so angry she nearly took a knife to confront them, she just wanted to know if their conscience hurt, how they could treat a child like this, although the child was somewhat big, she was still a child, how could they not let her eat well, anyone would feel uncomfortable.

Now it was clear how her daughter was treated at grandma’s, when she called her for school today, found her sick, her heart ached terribly.
