Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2124: Chapter 2118: Bittersweet Feelings

That’s right, these days Chu Yi has been thinking about repairing his relationship with his big brother. After all, there are only three siblings in the family, and one of them has been away from home for many years. Not coming back together really feels quite unpleasant.

However, the improved relationship last time became more strained due to the arrival of their grandmother and grandfather.

In the days that followed, his grandmother didn’t say she didn’t regret it, but whenever she talked about those two nephews, she would say she didn’t regret it.

Chu Yi wanted to tell her, Qin Xue is their mother; how could their own mother harm her own son? But looking at his grandmother, Chu Yi couldn’t bring himself to say it, and just let it go like this. Day by day passed, yet their relationship remained as it was before, as if his big brother didn’t exist, making the house feel even colder.

Now their sister is almost never home, their father is at work, leaving only their grandparents at home, making it really feel less like a home.

After the Luus sorted things out with his big brother, he finally found the opportunity to win over the girl he had liked for many years. However, nothing seemed to change, so he thought of inviting his big brother and sister-in-law’s family back home to liven things up.

But reality turned out to be much harder than imagined. Chu Yi looked at this family and really couldn’t understand why their thoughts were different from ordinary people. Didn’t they find it strange?

As for Chu Molin, he felt that his family was the normal one, and everyone else was selfish, especially the people of the Chus.

Chu Yi didn’t know what Molin was thinking, otherwise, he would definitely ask him how he was selfish. Ever since he was a child, he hadn’t spent much time playing with this big brother; not because he didn’t want to, but because his big brother wouldn’t take him. He could only watch from the sidelines. After he left home, he stayed with his sister. With just the two of them at home, it always felt like something was missing.

Seeing Chu Molin again, Chu Yi knew what was missing. That’s why he always thought of repairing their relationship.

But now it still doesn’t seem easy. His big brother and sister-in-law are gauging each other’s reactions, which on the surface looks like they’re consulting the other’s wishes. But from another angle, it shows how much they consider each other, prioritizing each other’s feelings. Their tacit understanding is admirable, and Chu Yi envied it a lot.

”We are husband and wife, of course, we will stand together. If he doesn’t care about my feelings at all, that would truly be disrespectful to me, and that’s not acceptable.” Qin Xue didn’t say who was right or wrong; after all, they had agreed that whatever happens, in Qin Xue’s heart, she would always protect Chu Molin.

The first bit of care she received here came from Chu Molin, so no matter how wronged she felt, she wouldn’t let him suffer. As long as it was something he didn’t want, she wouldn’t do it.

”Alright.” Chu Molin’s one-word response showed that he was aligned with Qin Xue.

”Alright then, just remember to come. It’s okay if you don’t talk when you get here, just being present is enough. Rest assured, I won’t let anyone cause you any trouble.” Chu Yi also wanted the family to be together happily, so he said that nothing would make them leave unhappy.

However, Chu Yi didn’t realize that no preparation would help; if his own family didn’t cause them trouble, others would.

”What do you think?” Chu Molin looked at Qin Xue.

”Then let’s go.” Qin Xue wanted Chu Molin to understand what was going on with his mother, so she could only ask him. Seeing his lack of opposition, they decided to go together. It would be good to take a look; after all, she also wanted to know what kind of family the Chus were. It was a good opportunity to check it out and get a sense of it.
