Chapter 1599: Chapter 1593 The Person Who Knows Her Best_1 Chapter 1599: Chapter 1593 The Person Who Knows Her Best_1 Qin Xue and Xue Ling had a long conversation before they rested. Qin Xue slept without dreams and did not wake until morning.

“Oh, Yingying, why are you up so early?” Qin Xue was surprised to find Nangong Beiying sitting in the courtyard reading a book as soon as she woke up.

“I couldn’t sleep, so I got up early. How about you? Did you sleep well last night?” Nangong Beiying asked, looking at the refreshed Qin Xue. It was quite clear she’d had a good night’s rest without needing to ask.

“Not bad. Did you have a rough night?” Qin Xue asked, noticing Nangong Beiying’s dark eye circles. Had she stayed awake all night?

“Not exactly, I just didn’t have a restful sleep.” Nangong Beiying couldn’t explain it. She usually had a strong constitution, but lately, she felt somewhat short of breath, similar to a feeling of oxygen deficiency.

“Let me take a look at you.” Qin Xue observed Nangong Beiying, who seemed to have lost some weight just in a day.

She had nearly fainted the day before, and then experienced insomnia all night, Qin Xue wondered what was wrong with her that seemed so taxing.

“I’m a doctor myself, I have checked myself, there’s nothing wrong with me.” Nangong Beiying had taken her own pulse early in the morning. While she was certain she not ill, she didn’t feel well.

“Here, take this.” Qin Xue took a bottle from her pocket and handed it to Nangong Beiying. Inside were energy supplementing pills she had made with spiritual spring water. The pills would help replenish her strength.

“Okay.” Nangong Beiying didn’t ask what the pills were for and just swallowed them without a second thought.

“Yingying, you should rest at home after breakfast. The rest of us can go out. We searched for a long time last time. It won’t make a difference if you don’t come along this time.” Qin Xue suggested, seeing her friend’s fatigue. She couldn’t bear to see her friend exhaust herself further.

“I’m fine. Going out and getting some fresh air will probably make me feel better. Maybe I will even be able to sleep when we get back,” Nangong Beiying said, believing that her problem was simply due to lack of exercise.

“You’ve said you’re a doctor yourself and should know that a pregnant woman shouldn’t overexert herself. Listen to me, take a nap at home. If you’re still uncomfortable tomorrow, you can go back with Chu Molin. I’ll stay here, find out what’s causing this then follow afterward,” Qin Xue insisted, filled with concern for her friend.

“No, I want to go back with you. I’ll just rest a bit before we leave.” Nangong Beiying hadn’t expected Qin Xue to make this suggestion. She wasn’t comfortable with the idea of leaving Qin Xue alone here, so she insisted on accompanying her.

“Okay, if you insist on not going back, then please, follow my advice.” Qin Xue gave in. Pregnant women were known to have mood swings, and she didn’t mind indulging her friend’s whims at the moment.

“Are you treating me like a child?” Nangong Beiying couldn’t help but laugh at Qin Xue’s tone, which was entirely that of an adult talking to a child.

“Right now, you are a big child. So both of you, the child in your belly and you, have to behave,” Qin Xue laughed. She indeed saw Nangong Beiying as a child, given that she was a person requiring special care right now.

“Alright, you mentioned you woke up hungry. Let’s go eat.” Nangong Beiying closed her book and stood up. She was also somewhat hungry. She wasn’t sure if it was because of her pregnancy, but while she didn’t have a great appetite, she found herself getting hungry quickly.

She had often heard that pregnant women should eat small meals frequently. Now that she was expecting, she felt this wisdom more acutely. Ever since she found out that she was pregnant, it almost seemed like she was no longer herself.

“Yingying, you know me so well. I was indeed awakened by hunger. Since coming here, I’ve become accustomed to eating on schedule. Unlike before, when I was so busy that I forgot to eat until after the surgeries. It’s strange, isn’t it? How come I never felt hungry while I was busy but starved once I came off the operating table?” Qin Xue felt that her habits had changed quite a bit. This was something Chu Molin would be glad to see. She hoped he would now stop worrying so much about her.
