Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

I’m married and have a child, so you don’t need to worry that I’m prying into your privacy. I’m asking in order to understand your exact situation so I can provide treatment,” Qin Xue shared her marital status, simply trying to ease the woman’s defenses.

“Yes, I wasn’t in so much pain before, but last night he insisted, no matter how unwilling I was. Who would have believed that today the pain would be insufferable?” The woman started crying as she spoke.

“Sister, I don’t mean to blame you, but you have to take good care of your health. Don’t you know it is not advisable to have intercourse during menstruation?” Qin Xue was at a loss for words. It’s shocking that she would take such a huge risk.

“I didn’t really know that. What do I do now?” The woman was surprised to learn of the potential dangers of sex during menstruation. She had done it before without any issues, so she assumed it was safe – until today’s agony made her question her life choices.

“It appears you have an infection. I’ll prescribe some antibiotics for you to take first. Once it clears up, return and I’ll run a follow-up examination. We may need you to undress for the check-up, so please be prepared.

Also, remember this; never make this mistake again. No matter when, intercourse during menstruation must be avoided. Do not consume any cold food or beverages. If you can avoid contact with cold water, that’s even better. Try to drink some brown sugar ginger tea during your period; it’s beneficial for your health.” Qin Xue was bewildered. How was it possible that in a place with no exposure to the outside world, even the most basic knowledge was missing?

During menstruation, a woman’s cervix is open, making it easy for dirt to be carried into the womb, which could lead to infection, gynecological inflammation, and in serious cases, severe hemorrhage risking one’s life.

Qin Xue suspected the woman was also suffering from cervical erosion and other gynecological diseases. Once the infection healed, only then could she perform a check-up. Regardless, helping even one person was a victory.

“Thank you, Holy Maiden.” The woman never expected the Holy Maiden to say these things. She did not know any of this before, so she ended up blushing while thanking Qin Xue.

“You’re welcome. There are situations where you must learn to say no. Only when a woman stands tall can others respect her. If you don’t love yourself, who else can you count on to love you? Do you agree with what I’m saying?” After finishing her thoughts, Qin Xue left first. Some realizations need to come from within. No matter how much others lecture, it will be wasted breath if there is no self-awareness.

The woman watched Qin Xue leave slowly, and tears started falling down her face. She understood what the Holy Maiden meant, but she was at a loss on what to do next. After pondering for a long time, she finally left the room. Qin Xue wrote down her prescription and handed it over to Rain, instructing that the woman be given the medication once she arrived. Afterwards, Qin Xue continued treating other patients.

In this way, Qin Xue and the others spent their days treating the villagers. Before they knew it, more than a month had passed. Chu Molin had been gone for a month, with no news since Zakeer had taken him away.

Early in the morning, as Nangong Beiying was getting ready to eat breakfast and start her rounds, she almost fainted. Fortunately, Qin Xue was beside her, washing up, and was able to support her in time.

“Yingying, are you okay?” Qin Xue anxiously looked at the somewhat pale Nangong Beiying.

“I’m fine, I might just have low blood sugar.” Nangong Beiying guessed, reflecting on how busy they had been recently treating villagers, gathering medicine, and going up and down the mountain. It was all very tiring.

Upon rising this morning, she had been feeling somewhat uncomfortable, like a weight pressing on her chest. Since they hadn’t eaten yet, she presumed it was due to low blood sugar.
