Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 753: Chapter 747: Feels Like Being in Prison

This is the capital of Hua Country after all, it’s understandable that it’s more grandiose than other places.

Qin Xue nodded in agreement after hearing this. Indeed, without the sacrifices and bloodshed of their predecessors, they wouldn’t be enjoying their current happy lives. She felt fortunate to be born in Hua Country.

“Yeah, that’s for sure. Because this place represents the heart of a nation. If we don’t set a good example, we’d be losing face for Hua Country. So, it’s understandable,” Qin Xue said casually, simply expressing her feelings.

“Yeah, that’s why I want my child to join the military, to contribute to the nation’s peace,” An Hao said with a smile.

“An Hao, you better not think about that. I heard Grandpa Xiao say that if this is the only child you have for the Lis, he won’t be allowed to join the army,” Chu Xiaoqiao, having heard An Hao’s wish, quickly dispelled her illusions.

“Why won’t they let him?” An Hao was surprised. She didn’t remember hearing her grandfather say anything like that.

...
“They said they’re afraid something might happen and you’ll worry. I overheard this while passing by them one time. I don’t know what else they said,” Chu Xiaoqiao explained. She had stumbled upon their conversation while visiting An Hao’s house, but she did not stick around to listen further, hence, she did not know the whole story.

“Ah, I can’t believe it,” An Hao was speechless. She wanted her child to help protect the country, but her grandparents would not permit it. If they said ‘no’, she had no other choice. Even though they were retired, their words still carried weight. If they asked, others would not dare to go against them.

If she only has one child for the Lis, then this child would be the Lis’ sole offspring. No one would heartlessly cut off their only descendant. If she really wants her child to join the military, then she should persuade her family members.

However, the child is still in her belly. It’s too early to discuss this matter. Who knows what will happen when the child grows up. Perhaps the child will have his own ideas. So, her current worry is of no use. It’s better to leave it to fate.

“Oh! Thank goodness, I finally found you. Where have you been this early morning without telling anyone? Don’t you know how worried we’ve been?” An Hao and her companions had just entered the yard when they were interrupted.

“Mrs. Xu, what happened?” An Hao asked, looking at the distressed Mrs. Xu.

“My dear, you have no idea what a mess everything is. We couldn’t find you this morning. We asked everyone and still couldn’t find you. Everyone’s been frantic, especially the young master who was about to contact the police,” After confirming that An Hao was safe and sound, Mrs. Xu finally exhaled in relief.

Mrs. Xu really had no choice. Besides being the darling of the Lis, An Hao was also the precious gem of the Xiaos. Now that she’s pregnant, her disappearance had everyone on edge.

“Oh, Mrs. Xu, it’s not as serious as you make it out to be. Xiaoqiao and I just went for a walk and visited a friend. Why are you exaggerating it so much?” An Hao was at a loss. Her absence for a short time had everyone in a panic. This was too much pressure for her, making her feel like she was in prison.

An Hao was uncertain about what to do next, feeling increasingly unhappy with each passing day. She was unsure if everyone’s anxiousness was directed at her safety or the unborn child. Regardless, it seemed like everything she did was wrong.
