Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 728: Chapter 722 Jing Xin Returns to The Jings

But Jing Xiaonan’s wishful thinking would only work if Jing Xin cooperated, which Jing Xin wouldn’t, to thwart their plans.

Jing Xin thought to himself, if he were to allow his wife and children to return to this home, knowing they were plotting something, then he would truly be inhuman.

‘Dad, that won’t be necessary, Fang Xiu is currently in the city selling clothes for someone, her boss is good to her, and even allows Fang Xiu to bring the child to work.’

You know it’s better for the child to be with his mother, so let them live in the city for now. After all, their boss rented the house, and it includes both food and accommodation. And he even gives her US$ 15 a month.

Although fifteen dollars isn’t much, it’s already good enough if she can earn that much while taking care of the child. If they save enough, it should be enough to cover their living expenses.’ Jing Xin did not specify how much Fang Xiu earned, but threw out a random number. He didn’t dare say more, as it could bring trouble for Fang Xiu.

However, Jing Xin knew that the Jings’ must know what Fang Xiu was doing and that it would be impossible to say she earned nothing. So by saying this, he could potentially dispel their intentions.

...
‘That’s a good plan, but when she has time, it would be good for Fang Xiu to bring the child to visit more often. I haven’t even seen your son yet.” Jing Xiaonan, having heard Jing Xin’s words, had a deep look in his eyes, this was the start of their defense against them.

Knowing that he’s already aware of something, they would need to change their strategy; they couldn’t continue as before.

‘We can discuss it when she has time. Dad, I hope you can talk to mom and tell her to stop causing a scene in the city, it’s embarrassing.’ Jing Xin said bluntly.

‘You…okay, I will talk to her, and I’ll make sure she doesn’t disturb your wife anymore.’ Jing Xiaonan wanted to get angry, but on seeing Jing Xin’s expression, swallowed his words.

This child was too smart, if they made any odd moves, he was sure to notice them, so they couldn’t act impulsively.

‘Thank you, Dad. Dad, you know that I haven’t been back for nearly two years, so there are a lot of things I don’t know about. One thing I do know is that I’m a married man now, so any talk about that girl’s matters can be directed to my younger brother. I don’t want to marry anyone else, it’s wrong to disrupt someone’s marriage. I’m guessing you don’t want me to do that either?’ Jing Xin implicitly mentioned their plan to make him divorce and marry that girl.

‘What girl? There’s no such thing. Has someone been saying things to you? We know that disrupting someone’s marriage is to incur divine punishment, so why would we knowingly commit such a grave mistake? So let’s not talk about things that don’t exist.’ Jing Xiaonan became more irate as he listened; what was his wife up to? Not only had she botched the job, but now had his son-in-law warning him?

Yes, a warning. Jing Xin was conveying that if they didn’t want to end up in jail, they should not attempt to disrupt his marriage. As their marriage was a military marriage, if he reported it, there would be an investigation. If their interventions were confirmed, they would definitely go to jail.

Thinking about it, Jing Xiaonan was truly irate about his wife’s incompetence to handle even a small matter properly.

If it wasn’t for fear of gossip, he would have stepped in himself, without needing her to be involved. But he couldn’t get involved, so he had to let his wife handle it. However, she had managed to create this outcome, how could he not be angered by it?

‘I hope nothing like that happens anyway, otherwise, if my wife is unhappy one day and takes some action, I fear I might spend the rest of my life in jail. You might then have to speak on my behalf and use your connections to help me. But we would both rather avoid such a situation, wouldn’t we?” Jing Xin said, suddenly laughing.
