Survival in the Underground Palace: Get the instant kill skill at the beginning

20: Attack invalidLooked around.

Two days passed, and the place still maintained its original appearance.

He didn’t know if the Rampaging Boars hadn’t respawned, or if they knew it was dangerous here and didn’t dare come over.

For Liu Yang, none of this was important.

His character level had now risen to level 16, although it wasn’t much use.

But his Second Kill skill had also risen to level 22.

This was the most important thing.

He wanted to see just what kind of creature that Giant Octopus was.

If possible, he would get revenge for that day’s arrow.

Although he thought this, he couldn’t be careless.

Even though things were different now, this was still the case.

Inside the Dungeon, nothing was impossible.

He cautiously approached the location of the Giant Octopus.

When the Giant Octopus appeared in his sight from afar, Liu Yang immediately stopped.

Activating his vision, the familiar words appeared before him again.

[Target is outside the detection range.]

”What the hell, I’m level 16 and I still can’t detect it? What level is this guy anyway?”

The detection result was completely beyond Liu Yang’s expectation, and it made his heart sink halfway.

After thinking about it, he still didn’t want to give up.

He took out his Wind Spirit Crossbow, raised his hand, and shot an arrow.

Swish!

[Attack ineffective!]

The arrow flew out, hit the Giant Octopus, paused for a moment, and then dropped directly, not harming the Giant Octopus in the slightest.

...

Looking at the scene before him, Liu Yang was dumbfounded and very unconvinced.

Suddenly, the Giant Octopus moved.

Whoosh!

Liu Yang didn’t even look, turned around and ran, disappearing in an instant.

”Fine, fine, if I can’t provoke it, can’t I at least hide? When I get a chance, I’ll definitely make you pay.”

After running at least several hundred meters, Liu Yang panted heavily, patted his chest, and said with lingering fear:

”That scared the crap out of me, that was really damn exciting just now, it felt like dancing on a knife’s edge.”

”Right, didn’t I say I was going to act cautiously? Everything just now didn’t quite fit the plan I set!”

”Sigh, I still got ahead of myself. I only gained over ten levels, who gave me the courage to provoke the Giant Octopus anyway?”

”It seems the beating I took wasn’t quite severe enough.”

After muttering to himself and criticizing himself, Liu Yang resumed his serious demeanor.

With a knife in his left hand and a crossbow in his right, he slowly moved forward.

After walking about 500 meters, Earth Palace Creatures finally appeared.

[Rampaging Boar lv14: Usually relatively docile, once disturbed, it immediately enters berserk mode, relentlessly chasing and attacking the target until it stops.]

Swish!

Before he arrived, the arrow reached, and the boar immediately went down.

[Your arrow hit the Rampaging Boar’s butt, triggering the Second Kill skill, the Rampaging Boar is dead.]

[Congratulations on killing the Rampaging Boar, you obtained Ordinary Wooden Home Upgrade Scroll x1, Spiritual Energy x1.]

”Damn, I forgot to turn off the Second Kill skill.”

”But it doesn’t matter, I have so much energy now, a little splurge is no big deal.”

”But this drop rate is pretty good. Home Upgrade Scroll, just by the name, you know it’s a good item.”

”Could it be because I haven’t killed any Earth Palace Creatures for a few days, and all my luck accumulated and burst forth now?”

Regardless, a good item is a good item, no one would dislike it.

Liu Yang took out the newly dropped Home Upgrade Scroll to look at it.

[Ordinary Wooden Home Upgrade Scroll: A magical scroll that can directly upgrade an Ordinary Wooden Home by one level, extremely rare, something to be desired but hard to obtain, possessing it will save you a lot of resources.]

”This treasure is exactly what I wanted. I was thinking of buying materials to upgrade my wooden house, but I didn’t expect to have such luck.”

Knowing the scroll’s effect, Liu Yang was overjoyed.

Besides the hole in the wooden house that needed fixing.

More importantly, the warehouse capacity wasn’t quite enough.

If he didn’t upgrade quickly, there would be nowhere to put the dropped items.

Therefore.

This item came at just the right time.

”However, to upgrade the Home, I have to take out the wooden house. The space here isn’t enough right now, I need to quickly find a spacious place.”

Eager to upgrade the wooden house, Liu Yang no longer wasted time and explored forward with renewed spirit.

[Congratulations on killing the Rampaging Boar, you obtained Stone Material x8, Watermelon Seeds 30g x2, Spiritual Energy x1.]

[Congratulations on killing the Rampaging Boar, you obtained iron block x4, wood x3, Copper Block x1, Spiritual Energy x1.]

[Congratulations on killing the Dungeon Flea, you obtained wood x1.]

As he went forward, there were countless Earth Palace Creatures that died under Liu Yang’s arrows.

However, besides the initial Home Upgrade Scroll which was quite good, only the watermelon seeds were somewhat useful.

This made Liu Yang increasingly agree that the strategy of ’accumulating luck’ was worth trying.

While walking, a familiar item suddenly appeared ahead.

A rusty short knife!

A short knife covered in bloodstains and rust.

The bloodstains were dry, clearly the short knife had been here for a while.

As mentioned in the early game, where the knife is, the person is.

Unless they had a better weapon and replaced and discarded it, otherwise...

Liu Yang’s spirit was roused, and he immediately became more vigilant.

Continuing forward, he walked a long distance, and by a wall, he saw a leftover spicy strip packaging bag.

”Since they were eating here, they must have thought it was very safe, so this place shouldn’t be too far from their Home.”

Of course, it could also be a master, eating while exploring.

But the short knife and blood proved that the chance of the other party being a master was not high.

The other possibility was a madman.

However, in the Dungeon, the more arrogant someone is, the faster they will die.

Liu Yang’s steps suddenly halted.

”Perhaps it really could be a madman...”

He recalled the few Human skeletons he saw when he encountered the Giant Octopus not long ago.

After another ten-odd minutes of walking, the monsters Liu Yang encountered became weaker and fewer.

Suddenly, his gaze flicked to the upper right corner, and a familiar terrain was displayed on the map.

That terrain was almost identical to where he encountered the Giant Octopus.

It was also a huge space.

It was also a hub, connecting several passages.

This made Liu Yang’s expression change drastically.

”Could there also be an Earth Palace Creature similar to the Giant Octopus ahead?”

”If so, then I’m really unlucky.”

Although his heart strongly resisted going to investigate.

But stopping without seeing anything would be too cowardly.

The pattern of monster appearance here was different from the Book Tower.

He didn’t know if they respawned or appeared in some other way.

If they respawned, how often did they respawn?

If they didn’t respawn and he just stayed in this section of the passage, the existing resources would eventually run out.

And his strength couldn’t be improved.

Besides waiting for death or waiting for rescue, there was no other way out.

Besides, with the previous experience, who would be foolish enough to rush forward!

Moving forward slowly, and immediately retreating if something was wrong, could there still be any danger?

Having made up his mind, Liu Yang tiptoed slowly forward.

He moved like a thief.

Arriving at the corner, he raised his steel knife, just about to learn from TV and movies and use the blade as a mirror to check ahead.

But he found that his steel knife didn’t have a mirror-like polished quality.

”Damn it, messing up at a crucial moment.”

Muttering a curse, he still extended the knife.

A minute later, nothing happened.

So he withdrew the knife and extended a finger.

Another minute passed, and it was still safe and sound.

Finally, he poked out half his head and completely saw the situation ahead.

”Phew!”

”False alarm.”

”Such a good place actually has no monsters claiming it as their territory, it seems it was left for me!”

Yes, the center ahead was empty, there was nothing.

He had wasted his effort.
