The System Arrives: Leading My Clan to Become the Strongest

85: Chapter 85: Treasure Distribution in the Main Hall, Jiang Chen Goes into SeclusionThe Grand Elder subconsciously caught the storage ring. As his Divine Thought swept through it, his pupils suddenly constricted, and his breathing grew heavy.

Inside the storage ring, dense rows of Spirit Stones were arranged—Low Grade, Medium Grade, and High Grade—piled up like small mountains!

One must know that previously, even if the Jiang Family exhausted all their assets, they couldn’t scrape together over a hundred thousand Low-Grade Spirit Stones. Most of the Clan Disciples’ Cultivation relied on slowly refining by absorbing Heaven and Earth Spiritual Qi.

”Clan... Clan Chief!”

The Grand Elder’s hands trembled as he held the storage ring, his gaze toward Jiang Chen filled with shock.

”This... this is too much!”

Seeing the Grand Elder’s state, the other Elders also felt extremely restless. Had Jiang Chen not been present, they would have already rushed forward to snatch and inspect it.

”It’s not much.”

Jiang Chen waved his hand, his tone indifferent.

”The Great Wilderness is perilous. Without sufficient cultivation, going out is just seeking death. Distribute these Spirit Stones first to the high-talent Disciples and several Elders. Ensure that more than half of the Clan Members Breakthrough their current Realm within half a month.”

”Half a month?”

The Second Elder couldn’t help but interject, his voice tinged with urgency.

”Clan Chief, Cultivation cannot be rushed. Such haste might...”

”Rushed?”

Jiang Chen looked up, his gaze sweeping over the Second Elder with a hint of coldness.

”When the Desolate Beasts trample our camp, or when rival Families come knocking at our door, that is when things will truly be rushed! With Lu Xin here, the area within a hundred miles of Qingyun Mountain is an absolutely safe zone. Spend this time breaking through with peace of mind. I tell you, if any Clan Disciple’s cultivation surpasses yours, you will automatically step down from your Elder positions to make way for the worthy.”

Jiang Chen spoke in a stern tone. Although he knew these Elders had been cultivating hard recently and were somewhat distracted by Family matters.

But since the Jiang Family needed to develop, it was impossible to let a few Elders hold power indefinitely. Only by letting the capable rise and the mediocre step down could the Family develop more rapidly.

When the Jiang Family first settled at Qingyun Mountain, their foundation was insufficient. Now, the Jiang Family’s foundation was beginning to show, and with Lu Xin, a Spirit Transformation Realm expert, presiding over them, the old ways were no longer appropriate.

The Second Elder choked under his gaze and sullenly shut his mouth.

Jiang Chen’s gaze fell upon everyone, and his voice suddenly rose:

”In half a month, we will set out for the capital of the Yuan Kingdom. The Qingfeng Martial Meet is about to begin. This is the first time our Jiang Family will participate in such a Martial Arts Tournament. I won’t speak of the Grand Elder and those nearing a hundred years old, but you—the Second Elder, Third Elder, and Fifth Elder—strive to take the top spots at the Martial Arts Tournament to win a vast territory for our Jiang Family!”

Hearing this, the Elders understood Jiang Chen’s intention: he wanted to make the Jiang Family’s name known at the Qingfeng Martial Meet.

Inside the Council Hall, there was silence, with only Jiang Chen’s words echoing in everyone’s ears.

That was hope for the future, and even more, a longing for the Family’s rise.

The Grand Elder took a deep breath and bowed deeply to Jiang Chen, his voice resonant and powerful: ”Understood!”

”Alright, that’s all for today. I have matters to attend to and will be leaving first.”

After Jiang Chen finished speaking, he disappeared from the hall.

Seeing Jiang Chen leave, several Elders immediately surrounded the Grand Elder.

Left with no choice, the Grand Elder took out the Spirit Stones from the storage ring. High Grade, Medium Grade, and Low-Grade Spirit Stones fell in the center of the hall, forming small mountains.

”Hiss...”

Seeing so many Spirit Stones, everyone present gasped. It was too many, truly too many; they had never been this extravagant.

”This... there are nearly a thousand High-Grade Spirit Stones!”

The Second Elder’s throat bobbed, his voice trembling. He reached out to touch them but pulled back as if burned.

The Mid-Grade Spirit Stones were piled like small hills, at least ten thousand of them, and the Low-Grade Spirit Stones were like an ocean, dazzling the eyes.

The Third Elder stared at the pile of High-Grade Spirit Stones, his breathing rapid:

”Grand Elder, the Clan Chief... could he have obtained some massive Opportunity? In the past, we’d clutch even a single Mid-Grade Spirit Stone for three generations!”

The Grand Elder coughed heavily, suppressing the agitation in his heart. He protected the storage ring in front of him and said with a stern face:

”How can we speculate on the Clan Chief’s Opportunity? All of you, behave!”

As he spoke, his gaze swept over everyone, and he said in a deep voice:

”According to the Clan Chief’s instructions, we will divide this portion among ourselves. As for what remains in the storage ring, it must be distributed to all Clan Members.”

”All of this is for us, then...”

Hearing the Grand Elder’s words, the Second Elder’s eyes unconsciously drifted toward the storage ring in the Grand Elder’s hand.

”Jiang Liejun, what are you trying to do? You cannot touch the ones in here. There are nearly two hundred Jiang Family Clansmen now, and the resources they need are immense. Moreover, these Spirit Stones here are enough for us to use for a long time.”

Seeing Jiang Liejun’s gaze, the Grand Elder Jiang Xuanting immediately put away the storage ring, looking at the Second Elder Jiang Liejun with a wary expression.

”Haha, the Grand Elder must be joking. I just wanted to take a look, nothing more.”

Seeing the wary Grand Elder, the Second Elder gave a sheepish smile.

”Alright, I will distribute these Spirit Stones. Spiritual Vein Enshrinee, what do you think about receiving half of these for your use?”

After the Grand Elder finished speaking, he turned to ask Lu Xin.

Since Lu Xin had the highest cultivation among everyone present, he had to ask. Furthermore, the resources required for the Soul Transformation Realm were even more massive; even half might not be enough.

”Grand Elder, no need. I don’t need these.”

Lu Xin directly refused. She now shared her grade with the Spiritual Vein; if the Spiritual Vein didn’t advance, she couldn’t Breakthrough either.

”This...”

Seeing Lu Xin’s direct refusal, the Grand Elder was momentarily at a loss. He didn’t know that Lu Xin didn’t need to Cultivate after sharing with the Spiritual Vein, and thought she needed Spirit Stones for cultivation just like them.

”Old man, my master now shares her grade with the Spiritual Vein. My master can now control the entire Spiritual Vein at will. Do you think these Spirit Stones of yours can compare to a fifth-tier spirit vein?”

The Spirit of the Spiritual Vein on the side couldn’t stand it anymore. It soared into the air, its small face looking at the Grand Elder with a mocking expression.

”This—”

Hearing the words of the Spirit of the Spiritual Vein, the Grand Elder understood something and suddenly felt relieved.

”In that case, take a portion for your father. Your father also needs resources.”

The Grand Elder looked at Lu Xin and asked. Lu Xin nodded; indeed, her father Lu Jun’s cultivation was still very weak. With these Spirit Stones, Lu Jun’s cultivation could quickly Breakthrough to the Qi Refining Peak.

”Thank you, Grand Elder.”

Lu Jun did not hesitate and directly expressed his gratitude.

Soon, everyone present received a portion of Spirit Stones, including the Guest Elder Ling Xuanye.

Ling Xuanye twirled a High-Grade Spirit Stone between his fingers, the cool sensation spreading from his fingertips. He looked down at the flowing light on the stone’s body, a flicker of complexity in his eyes.

Joining the Jiang Family was merely Jiang Chen using a past favor to demand repayment, and of course, he sought a place of refuge. He never expected to receive such a precious treasure.

”Ling Xuanye thanks the Grand Elder.”

Ling Xuanye put away the Spirit Stones and slightly cupped his hands toward the Grand Elder, his tone carrying a bit more genuine respect.

The Third Elder Jiang Xuanlong held his share of Spirit Stones, smiling so widely his mouth wouldn’t close:

”This is great! With these Spirit Stones as a foundation, my push for the Foundation Establishment Late Stage will surely be certain!”

The Fifth Elder also nodded repeatedly, his steady face filled with excitement.

”The Qingfeng Martial Meet is approaching. With these resources, our Jiang Family will surely make a stunning debut!”

Jiang Chen arrived at a deserted Immortal Cave. Since the Family had Lu Xin, a Soul Transformation expert, presiding over it, he also had to prepare to Breakthrough to the Nascent Soul Realm.

The reason he gave the Grand Elder such massive resources was that not only did the Jiang Family have him, who could Breakthrough to the Nascent Soul Realm at any time, but they also had Lu Xin. As long as Lu Xin was there, even if others discovered the Jiang Family possessed such vast resources, he wouldn’t be afraid.
