Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 1147: Phantasia Spirit

Xu Feng’s expression darkened and was filled with killing intent.

What he despised the most was some random enemy trying to imitate him as his companion and deceive him.

Although the tone, sound, and behaviorism resembled Burpe, Xu Feng felt the lack of resonance.

”Burope?” Burpe tilted their head sideways, almost as if they were unsure what he was talking about.

”Hah, never seen such a shameless spirit before.” He rolled his eyes.

”No, shameless isn’t the correct term here. Disgusting is more correct. The way you try to copy Burpe’s cuteness is nauseating.”

Upon hearing that and the clear hostility, the spirit no longer pretended.

”Hmm, I don’t get it. I’m quite certain of my mimicry skill.” The spirit said.

”Could it be that you can sense the dissonance between the two of us? But that shouldn’t be possible when you haven’t spent a lot of valuable time.”

While the spirit remained confused at how it was caught, Xu Feng didn’t bother to entertain its questions.

Like hell he would reveal why he detected Burpe had been overtaken!

Wasn’t that just ruining himself by informing the opponents who would use the information against him later on?

Only a true buffoon would answer the opposing side’s questions.

Xu Feng can’t speak for others, but she certainly could speak for himself and his companions that such fools didn’t deserve to be in the guild.

Of course, there were bound to be some exceptions, such as Benson.

Benson was a clown, but one who could still get some work done.

”Give me one reason why I shouldn’t kill you.” Xu Feng coolly said. The nerve of him to compromise Burpe and impersonate it had truly provoked him deeply.

The Phantasm Sea was a lonely and isolated special region. Even though he was used to a seclusion-like environment, the cheerful Burpe helped alleviate the dark theme around the sea.

Its appearance brought light to the darkness, and they clicked very well together.

Sometimes, it only takes a few minutes for two strangers to become great companions.

And Burpe was special to him because he didn’t need to suppress or tread carefully around.

Yet that precise comfort was intruded upon by someone else—a dormant spirit no less.

”Whoa, you’re actually serious about killing me?” The spirit appeared to be astonished and explained, ”You can’t kill me unless you want Burpe to disappear as well.”

Xu Feng’s eyes narrowed coldly. ”Do you think that threat works on me?”

Burpe was recorded as a pet in his status screen within the Phantasm Sea.

In other words, even if Burpe were to die in battle or through other means, he could still revive Burpe, albeit at a hefty cost.

However, that was still better than letting an unknown spirit remain dwelling within Burpe.

If some money could resolve the issues, then there would be no issues.

Meanwhile, the spirit appeared to know what Xu Feng was thinking in his mind.

”This isn’t a threat, Sea Traveler.” The spirit calmly said.

”Burpe and I are one. Without me, Burpe will cease to exist, and vice versa. We live and die together in our condition. If you don’t trust me, then feel free to try me. But don’t say you haven’t been warned of the consequences.”

Instantly, Xu Feng was stuck in a predicament.

He could discern that the spirit wasn’t hiding anything this time.

However, he also couldn’t voice out the possibility that the spirit might have gotten clever and begun to change his speech mannerisms.

An awkward face-off commenced between the two of them, with both sides unwilling to talk further.

The spirit knew that any more words coming out of their mouth would just raise suspicion.

As for Xu Feng, he was contemplating and debating the optimal solution to this standoff.

”Who are you exactly, and how were you able to remain inside Burpe?” Xu Feng asked.

”I’m a Phantasia Spirit, known as Raiza, and in a sense. I truly am Burpe.” The spirit, identified as Raiza, claimed.

”A Phantasia Spirit?” He raised an eyebrow. If he recalled correctly, Burpe was identified as Phantasm Spirit.

What was the difference between a Phantasia Spirit and a Phantasm Spirit?

When Raiza noticed his confusion, he simply snickered.

”I, the Phantasia Spirit, was the original spirit of the Phantasm Sea. I, as the protector of the sea, was harmed vitally by the cursed Abyssal Eye in my duty to safeguard the sea.” He declared solemnly.

”Due to our major clash, I was forced to enter a dormant state. But I also cannot hibernate without a vessel. Thus, I split part of my power to create the vessel, Burpe, using it as my medium.”

As if proving his claim, a sudden notification popped up in front.

System Notification: You have discovered Burpe’s true origin. The Phantasia Spirit Raiza was the original spirit who controlled and managed the harmony in the Phantasm Sea at its beginning.

Reading the prompt, Xu Feng hurriedly opened his status screen, which showed an updated list of Burpe.

’The rarity is upgraded to Legendary...’ For the first time, Xu Feng wasn’t happy about a rarity upgrade. He even wanted to seek ways to downgrade it back to Epic Rarity.
