Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 475: This Isn’t a Request

As DeathLingers continued to have his head lowered, he heard zero response.

Despite the awkward silence, DeathLingers knew he had messed up terribly with that threat of his. It would have been fine had he not spoken those words, but he even doubled down on it later on.

If Xu Feng was willing to offend the Reaver Guild without any hesitation, then DeathLingers didnʼt doubt it was willing to have another enemy.

This was especially true with them having a monopolization of the Elemental Warrior Set. It was only when the mistakes were made already that one came to realize just how wrong they were.

Such a scenario could be related to a chess game in which the players blundered so hard. They pondered long and hard, believing it was the correct move, but once it was done, they would then realize they screwed up.

There was no take-back because their opponent was not a bot, so the only way to resolve the blunder was to salvage the situation or pray their opponent would blunder too.

However, in this situation, DeathLingers highly doubted such deep scheming and cunning man would make a blunder.

ʼDarkSage might reprimand my action, but if I report these new findings to the higher-ups, they will definitely agree with my action today.ʼ DeathLingers decided to go on his knees and plead for forgiveness.

The Eternal Guild was renowned in the virtual reality game, but in the Divine World, everyone was reset back to zero.

To make things worse, the environment and playstyle of the Divine World were completely different from the past virtual reality games.

Aside from the amazing immersion rate, everything else was as if they were living in a new world. The rate of players joining the Divine World was still increasing exponentially, and businesses were starting to notice the profitability of the Divine World.

Hence, now was the critical time to lay a proper and strong foundation— not making a fight with an unknown and mysterious guild.

”Feng, donʼt let him go this easily.” Zhao Kai said to Xu Feng, clearly unwilling to let the matter go easily.

The fact that DeathLingersʼ action had erupted a long-hidden and dormant Xu Fengʼs personality, was enough for Zhao Kai to destroy the culprit repeatedly.

”Relax, do you think Iʼm a benevolent person?” Xu Feng responded with a question of his own.

Zhao Kai remained silent, only staring at him briefly. As he looked up and down, he nodded in agreement. ”Youʼre right. How could someone like you be benevolent? Youʼre more close to a stingy petty malevolent— no, you are the embodiment of it.”

”Haha, very funny. Iʼm thinking of booking a 5-star restaurant and ordering everything on the menu when you honor the bet you lost from earlier.”

Instantly, Zhao Kaiʼs face turned pale as he explained, ”I was wrong, Feng.”

”Too late,” Xu Feng snickered and gently pushed him to the side. He then began hovering his fingers around amidst their attention.

”Whatʼs he doing?” Veronica scratched her head, seemingly confused by his action.

”Heʼs probably in his system interface.” Carmen deduced. A playerʼs system interface was private to them, so it was not uncommon to see a player suddenly hover their fingers in empty air.

”Whatʼs he doing in the system interface then?” Veronica twitched her brows. ”Could it be that heʼs going to ban DeathLingers from the raid? But is that even possible.”

”Nah, heʼs most likely cooking up a contract for DeathLingers to sign. With the Guild Leaderʼs personality, thereʼs no way he would forgive such transgression.”

Sure enough, Zhao Kaiʼs deduction was spot on as Xu Feng sent something to DeathLingers.

”I just sent you a contract to sign.” Xu Feng calmly said.

”If you sign it then I wonʼt declare war on your Eternal Guild. Of course, if you donʼt sign it, then I will proceed with the declaration of war. Given your Eternal Guild still hasnʼt established a strong foundation yet. I suppose toppling it isnʼt that difficult, right?” He added, subtly threatening them in return for the favor.

Did these people truly believe the Vanguard Guild was some weak guild that anyone could just walk over?

Sorry, but they cannot be any more wrong about his code of conduct. So what if he was going to lose most of his foundation to get back at his enemy and benefit the third parties?

What was most important was about sending a message that they were not to be provoked!

The Super Guilds retained their elite status, with none daring to provoke them because of a simple reason. Once provoked, the Super Guild would retaliate and ensure their disappearance.

However, what would happen if the Super Guild was going against a guild that wasnʼt afraid of anything?

At that time, the Super Guild itself must be prepared for the consequences of getting raided from all sides. After all, Super Guildsʼ competition was even more deadlier and fiercer than any trivial guildsʼ competition.

And right now, the Eternal Guild had the status of a first-rate guild, but DeathLingers and the core members themselves knew it was just a temporary status.

With every new launch of a virtual game, the status must be retained by them or they would lose out and become history. It was the same theory with every dynasty or monarchy changed. Once defeated, only their history was remembered.

As DeathLingers began reading the contract, his expression changed from pale to purple.

”Are you being serious here, Guild Leader Lin Feng?” He lifted his chin and glanced at him.

”You want the money given to us by the Reaver Guild and even openly admit that they were trying to commit sabotage?”

”Why do people think Iʼm joking when I hand them a contract?” Contrary to answering him, Xu Feng turned to Carmen and asked if he was a joker or not?

”Itʼs not that they think youʼre joking, but rather they cannot accept the fact.” Carmen gently responded, clearly having an understanding of contract clauses and terms.

”Ah, so itʼs the denial response.” Xu Feng nodded, finding her logic very reasonable.

”Anyway, DeathLingers, this isnʼt a request but an ultimatum. Sign the contract and I shall forget the transgression and you can still continue the raid without worries. Reject it, and youʼll see the outcome yourself.”
