Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 322: Elementalist Armor

By the time the dust scattered, Brutus was sent to the ground, grunting in pain. His armor was scorched black, and if it hadnʼt been for the quality of his armor, Brutus was sure his flesh would have been wounded severely.

After regaining his foothold, Brutusʼ eyes were not glared at Carmen, but at his so-called supportive comrade.

”What kind of dogshit callout was that?” Brutus yelled fiercely.

”Giving false information? Do you want to get me killed or are you just an idiot that canʼt give a real callout?” He added, extremely enraged by his callout.

Initially, his attack was actually on the mark, but because of his retarded comradeʼs terrible eyesight, he got misdirected to attacking a fake.

Hell, he was blinded by Carmenʼs sneak attack and still managed to land a hit. Yet the person who was not hit with a blind was actually blind in reality.

Meanwhile, Razor was equally infuriated by the fierce scolding. ”Hmph, who told you to rush ahead like a blind idiot? If you just kept your distance, then I wouldnʼt have needed to make any calls for you.”

”Brother, Iʼm a Berserker aka a melee range fighter. Iʼm not like you who hide in the back and shoot with the guns.” Brutus coldly snorted, rolling his eyes at Razorʼs illogical complaint.

As a melee range fighter, and a tank on top of that, if he doesnʼt rush forward, then what was he supposed to do?

Just stand still and look pretty?

While the two continued to argue and put the blame on others, Xu Feng casually walked toward Carmen and clapped his hands.

”Wow, I didnʼt expect you to summon an illusionist Elementalist and have it copy your appearance.” Xu Feng chuckled softly.

”But the most impressive part was tanking that axe strike from Brutus. You were lucky that he got blinded and wasnʼt fully confident, otherwise, that one strike would have ended you.” He added, giving his input on the spar.

Carmen stuck her tongue out and giggled.

”I calculated the axe strike was going to hurt, so I had an Elementalist protection.” She then revealed her clothes.

Upon taking a closer look, Xu Feng noticed the axe strike mark was actually in a water Elementalist and not her armor.

ʼShe actually had a water Elementalist to become a protective wear for her?ʼ Astonished, Xu Feng didnʼt expect Carmen to adapt and improve so fast.

This kind of strategy was fairly common in his past timeline, but that was after some Summoner realized there were many more things they could do with their summoned creatures.

Not to mention, the difficulty in actually pulling through this strategy required tons of practice and control of their mana to retain its state.

It was really taxing to oneʼs mental concentration, so Xu Feng did not reveal this strategy to Carmen. Yet who would have thought she didnʼt even need his advice and information?

”So are you impressed with my skill, Guild Leader?” Carmen teasingly said, having just witnessed his astonished expression. Honestly, she was reveling in seeing this kind of expression from him.

”Impressed?” Xu Feng raised an eyebrow.

”That would be an understatement considering what you just pulled off. Taking advantage of your opponentʼs affected mental state and misdirecting them required not just patience, but timing as well. My warning wasnʼt even needed from the start.”

”Hehe, you donʼt have to say it like that. The warning is quite helpful because I knew I needed to do something out of the box to catch them off-guard.” Carmen smiled, giving credit to him where it was due.

Hearing that, Xu Feng no longer bothered to speak further. There was no need for it.

This sparring had really benefited Carmen deeply, and Xu Feng was positive she would continue to explore the multiple possibilities she could do with the summoned Elementalist.

After all, the Summoner who pioneered the class and made it extremely popular was none other than Carmen, otherwise known as the Demoness or Lunar Wraith.

She became the sole idol of many Summoner players— to the point that many sought to become her disciples despite knowing the risk was either a direct rejection or a death.

Just at this moment, Carmen received a notification.

”No way…” Her eyes widened in shock after reading it.

”Whatʼs the matter?” Concerned, Xu Feng asked softly.

Carmenʼs mouth twitched uncontrollably as she stuttered, ”I-Iʼve reached level 30 already.”

”Oh, thatʼs natural.” Xu Feng chuckled, not a bit surprised that she managed to reach level 30 in such a short span of time. The glitch EXP strategy was repeatedly killing numerous level 50s plus monsters in the underground.

The poison was also contagious due to the mixing of the herbs, so it would truly be a shocker if she hadnʼt reached level 30 when her level was already quite high.

Similarly to her fast level-up, Xu Feng also surpassed the current mainstream players, having leveled up to 27, a whopping increase of 14 levels.

Due to the distribution of experience shares, Xu Feng gained the majority, but even so, Carmen still benefited a lot.

As for the rapid success, Xu Feng had to give credit to Razor, whose actions were extremely fast. Had it been him only, it would have taken him longer to set up everything properly.

”Alright, now that youʼre qualified to take a promotion test to advance to Tier 1, I must warn you the difficulty of doing so isnʼt easy.”

Xu Fengʼs expression turned solemn as he explained, ”Itʼs best that you have Razor and Brutus continues to spar with you for the duration of the competition. If possible, you should also train in the Arena, utilizing its balanced fight loophole to get more understanding of your Voidmancer class.”

Carmen clenched her fist and realized how much planning Xu Feng had done in advance to create an easier path for her. Aside from the Arena, he also hired two skilled Tier 3 fighters as her sparring partner.

”Rest assured, Guild Leader. I wonʼt challenge the promotion quest until Iʼm 90 percent certain.” She said solemnly. Given how stern and solemn Xu Feng was, she knew the difficulty of the promotion quest to be extremely high.
