Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 163: Repay The Favor

While Xu Feng waited patiently, he began checking on the Game Forum posts.

Sure enough, posts regarding the ”mysterious player” reappearing once again after the incident in the Town Hall were being spread among them.

The first time, he had the privilege to ascend upstairs, and now, he got even more attention with how the guards acted with him.

Clicking on the post, Xu Feng decided to read some of the comments as passing time.

HotShot321: This player is my idol now. Look at how timid the guards are!

Jokeraze: Shut up, that player is my idol, not yours. One day, Iʼll make those guards cower as well with my presence alone.

LightningBlade: Hey, does anyone know who the mysterious playerʼs identity is? Iʼm detained in the Riverwood Town prison at the moment, so can someone connect me to them. I want to ask them if they can get me out of prison?

Hotshot321: Save it, LightningBlade! Just your game name alone deserved to be detained for an extra week.

Jokeraze: Agreed with you there, Hotshot321. Looks like we might have something in common for being a fan of the mysterious player.

Hotshot321: Indeed, letʼs add each other.

The comments were still jumping up, but Xu Feng decided to end it there for now. Both Hotshot321 and Jokeraze were full of cringe comments, and he had no intention of knowing what their conversation would be any further.

ʼWhat a wasted post.ʼ Xu Feng thought to himself, feeling pity for the poster.

It was originally meant to be about his mysteriousness, but it ended up being a fan club forum, as well as a person crying about being detained.

Although it was true that his authority allowed him to assist someone out of prison, that didnʼt mean he was going to do it.

LightningBlade?

What a cringe name indeed when his buddy was called Shadow Blade already! The difference between the two was that one was someone he cared about and the other was someone he could care less about.

Time slowly passed by, and a figure from afar could be seen running toward him.

A sword was clad on his waist as he shouted once he arrived in front of Xu Feng. ”Sorry for being late, Lin Feng. I was too occupied earlier with the Silver Wind Guild recruitment process.”

This person was naturally OneManMedia, a person that Xu Feng had somewhat taken an interest in.

”My boss asked me if you remember the favor you owe him.” Xu Feng didnʼt beat around the bush and used his fake boss to question the latter.

Startled, OneManMedia knew it was going to be about the favor he had taken, but didnʼt expect him to discuss it right away.

Nevertheless, he held a solemn expression and nodded, ”Yes, I said I would help your boss three times in exchange for the favor.”

He was someone who kept his word, especially when his main occupation was being a media broadcaster. If he couldnʼt keep his word, then who would want to let him do an interview in the future?

Pleased, Xu Feng was glad that OneManMedia became straightforward and didnʼt attempt to stall or divert the topic.

”You donʼt have to be so nervous,” Xu Feng chuckled softly. ”What I want you to do is fairly simple.”

Despite Xu Feng saying the task was going to be simple, OneManMedia would be damned if he believed it to be true. If it was so simple, then why would he want him to do it?

ʼAs expected… repaying favor is really a hard thing to do.ʼ OneManMedia lamented. He definitely gained a lot of information from the favor, so it wasnʼt like he truly regretted asking for the favor either. Now, he could only grit his teeth and prepare himself for what the task might be.

Meanwhile, Xu Feng suddenly took out a piece of Rare equipment at this moment, astonishing the latter.

ʼA-A rare equipment?ʼ OneManMedia was stupefied. He was able to recognize the equipment right away because, in the past games, the blue color was synonymous with the rarity, Rare.

ʼThis Lin Feng is indeed not your average Joe.ʼ He thought, recalling the weapon that Gentle Wind had was only that of an Uncommon rarity.

”I supposed you recognized the rarity of this weapon based on your reaction.” Xu Feng commented, noticing his unease behavior.

OneManMedia swallowed a mouthful of saliva, hoping to compose himself, saying, ”You jest, Mister Lin Feng. Anyone would be astonished when seeing a player had already obtained Rare equipment in this early stage.”

Rumors were already spread that higher rarity equipment could only be obtained once players earned the right to go to a city.

The beginner town clearly didnʼt have any rarity higher than Uncommon, with many players checking every NPC store to confirm the matter.

Not even the Hell Mode difficult dungeon was able to have any Rare equipment drop.

And thanks to the opportunity of interviewing with Gentle Wind, the information he got was that the highest rarity was that of Superior Uncommon.

It was the first time he heard of Superior Uncommon, but according to Gentle Wind, it was a rank higher than Uncommon but lower than Rare. Its color was also a darker kind compared to the base Uncommon color.

Who would have thought he had the opportunity to witness Rare equipment as soon as he finished talking about it with Gentle Wind?

A few seconds later, OneManMedia clenched his fist and mustered up his courage, ”What do you suppose I do with this information?”

Xu Feng waved around the piece of equipment for a second before saying, ”Nothing much, I just want you to write an article, post, or anything that could gain attention from players that an anonymous player obtained a drop of Rare equipment in specific locations.”

”May I ask if those locations really drop that kind of rarity?”

”Nope, those locations donʼt drop anything.”

As if a bolt of lightning had struck OneManMedia, he instantly realized what Xu Feng wanted him to do.

ʼHe wants me to release fake news??!ʼ He exclaimed inwardly, feeling stunned and baffled.
