Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 157: Growth-Type Weapon

A growth-type weapon could either be a familiar or unfamiliar term depending on the person. But the general gist of the term was that it was a weapon that would grow along with the player.

Naturally, such weapons are in high demand as they are very rare and limited. It was to the point that even when someone offered more than a few billion dollars to purchase one and still couldnʼt buy it.

In his previous timeline, because of such high demands but no seller, players with growth-type weapons are constantly being hunted, albeit only the lower rankers or levels.

Those who are at the top remained safe, given no one was dumb enough to provoke the high rankers or great backings.

”Feng, I changed my mind. I also want a growth-type weapon.” Zhao Kai swooped in close to him and said.

Alas, what he received in return was a smack at the back of his head.

”Scram to the side,” Xu Feng scolded.

”Tsk, stingy Feng!” Zhao Kai pouted and sulked like a little kid.

Even with his insignificant game knowledge, the term growth-type sounded amazing so he wanted one as well.

However, if Zhao Kai truly understood the danger that came along with it, he might run away from the spot.

”So, can the almighty Fiona forge me one?” Xu Feng ignored the sulking Zhao Kai and turned to Fiona, seemingly eager for her response.

Fiona was silent, her expression turning pale rather quick. The confidence and frankness that she constantly exuded seemed to have dissipated.

”Why? Is our dear almighty Fiona not confident in her ability?” Xu Feng nudged further, clearly wanting her to agree to his request.

Hearing that provocation, Fiona clenched her fist, and snorted, ”Hmph, do you think Iʼm not confident in my forging ability? Iʼm just curious if you could even afford such a weapon.”

”How much is the cost?”

”Hmph, at the very least, you need to bring me at least 50 gold coins.”

At the mention of 50 gold coins, Zhao Kai who was still pretending to sulk on the corner nearly stumbled to the ground.

His jaws nearly dropped at the insane charging fee that she was asking.

”50 gold coins… with 100 copper coins equal to 1 silver coin and 100 silver coins equal 1 gold coin. Just how much money is that in real life?” Zhao Kai muttered, counting with his fingers as he couldnʼt fathom the precise value.

Players from the outside world were constantly pouring their money to purchase some in-game currency.

Just previously, there was even the exchange currency of 1 silver coin selling for 15,500 dollars and a batch of 5 silver coins for 75,000 dollars,

Zhao Kai turned to look at Xu Feng, seemingly wondering if he knew the approximate value.

”Going by the current record of sales and not counting if it sold in batches, the total value should be 77 million and 500 thousand dollars.” Xu Feng calmly revealed his calculation.

THUD!

Zhao Kai plopped to the ground after hearing the outrageous amount. ”This is a scam!” He uttered in a cry.

Meanwhile, Fiona was instantly displeased by his outcry, given he was labeling her as a scammer.

ʼNot good,ʼ Sensing the situation, Xu Feng quickly positioned himself in front of Zhao Kai.

”This is quite cheap in my opinion. Fiona is a generous blacksmith and 50 gold coins are a bargain.” He explained truthfully.

Compared to Zhao Kai who didnʼt understand the value, Xu Feng knew very well that 77 million dollars was indeed dirt cheap. Many had offered billions but still canʼt get their hands on a growth-type weapon.

Thus, Xu Feng was already leaping in joy to spend only this little.

Thanks to the timely defense of Xu Feng, the anger from Fiona seemed to lower down gradually.

At the same time, Xu Feng gave a fierce glare at Zhao Kai, clearly telling him to watch his mouth.

Realizing he had misspoken, Zhao Kai dared not make any more as he apologized repeatedly to Fiona.

”Fiona, I was just overwhelmed by the money. Iʼm just a poor little kid who has never seen so much money before. Please forgive me and my ignorance.” Zhao Kai cried aloud, going as far as hugging her thigh like some dog.

He was such a pest that wouldnʼt give up until Fiona finally relented.

”Alright, alright, just get off my thigh,” Fiona complained, swinging her leg back and forth in annoyance.

As for Xu Feng, he was rendered speechless and facepalmed. Such shameless behavior was unreal.

After the small commotion passed by, Fiona shrugged and said, ”Anyway, I doubt you have the money as well, so letʼs put aside the growth-type weapon for now.”

Right as soon as she finished, Xu Feng placed a small pouch by the table and smiled lightly.

”You were saying?” He teasingly asked.

Astonished, Fiona grabbed the small pouch and began counting the coins inside it.

A few seconds later, an ashen face expression appeared on her face. It was as if she had just seen a ghost.

”H-H-How did you even have this much money?” Fiona swallowed a mouthful of saliva nervously and asked stutteringly.

”Trade secret.” Xu Feng flatly replied.

ʼThis Feng is actually this rich?ʼ Zhao Kai was dazed completely at such a revelation of his wealth.

Another few minutes later, Fiona finally gritted her teeth and accepted the money.

”You are really one cunning four-eyes.” She glared angrily at Xu Feng, having realized she had been trapped in his scheme all along.

”Happy to accept that as my nickname as long as I can get my growth-type staff.” Xu Feng smiled brightly.

Normally, spending such money in one go was something Xu Feng absolutely refused to do.

However, it was a different story this time and those 50 gold coins were a worthy investment in the long run.

To summarize, it was no different than someone purchasing a whole apartment and gaining triple the return a few years later.

Not to mention, money earned was meant to be spent on essential things anyway.

ʼI can always get back the 50 gold coins from those little fat sheep anyway.ʼ Xu Feng thought to himself.
