Daily Intelligence: Forced to Save the Beautiful President at the Beginning

59: Chapter 59 Damn it, you’re setting me up like a honey trap!”Let her go!”

A furious shout cracked through the corridor like a thunderclap. The stairwell door was kicked open, and Zhang Fan and Gu Jingshen burst out like two cannonballs.

President Wang was startled, scrambling in a panic to drag Liu Ruyan into the room while using his other hand to push the door. ”Who the hell are you? How dare you meddle in my business?”

”I don’t care who you are!” Zhang Fan approached step by step. ”She is my person; just try touching her.”

Zhang Fan had already rushed up close and grabbed President Wang by the back of his collar.

President Wang’s two-hundred-plus-pound frame was actually pulled back, causing him to stumble. Liu Ruyan, losing support in his arms, was about to fall to the ground—but Zhang Fan was quick-witted and agile, turning to catch her steadily in his arms.

”How dare you touch me?!” President Wang recovered, his fat face turning the color of a pig’s liver. ”Do you know who I am? I am the Chairman of the Wang Group! Do you believe I can make it so you can’t survive in Jiangcheng?”

”The Wang Group?” Zhang Fan looked down at the unconscious Liu Ruyan in his arms, a surge of rage rushing from his feet to his head. He raised his hand and punched President Wang. ”Are you even worthy?”

This punch was fast and ruthless, landing squarely on President Wang’s nose. His bulky body hit the doorframe with a ”thud,” and nosebleed instantly gushed out, staining the collar of his floral shirt red.

”Fan Zi!” Gu Jingshen quickly held him back. ”Don’t hit him anymore; keep him as evidence!”

President Wang clutched his nose and howled, swearing, ”Fuck you! I’m going to kill you! I’m going to have you thrown in jail!”

Liu Mengqi had long since hidden in the corner, her face as white as paper. She clutched the strap of her bag so tightly that her nails were almost digging into her flesh.

She couldn’t figure out how two people from Liu Ruyan’s company could have appeared here. Could Liu Ruyan have set a trap on purpose?

President Wang was still swearing, and Gu Jingshen, annoyed by the noise, kicked him behind the knee. ”Shut up!”

President Wang was kicked onto one knee, his face smeared with a mix of blood and tears, and he finally felt a bit of fear.

He looked at the phone in Gu Jingshen’s hand and then at Zhang Fan’s murderous gaze. Suddenly remembering something, he tremblingly took out his phone. ”I... my wife is Mayor Lin’s sister! If you dare to touch me, she won’t spare you! Mayor Lin won’t spare you either!”

”Mayor Lin’s sister?” Gu Jingshen scoffed. ”Perfect, let her come and see how her husband drugs and rapes young girls, and while we’re at it, ask her if this marriage can even continue.”

President Wang’s hand froze, and the hand holding the phone began to tremble. This sentence was like a knife, precisely stabbing at President Wang’s Achilles’ heel.

He had only climbed to his current position by relying on his wife’s family connections. His wife was extremely concerned about appearances; if she found out he was doing such dirty things outside, let alone helping him, it would be lucky if she didn’t skin him alive and take all his assets.

The voice-activated lights in the corridor went out, leaving only the eerie green light of the emergency lamp. Zhang Fan looked down at Liu Ruyan in his arms; her breathing was shallow, and her long eyelashes cast a shadow under her eyes, like a frightened little deer.

”Old Gu, call the police.” Zhang Fan’s voice calmed down, but it carried an unquestionable determination. ”Charge him with attempted rape and illegal possession of prohibited drugs.”

”Alright!” Gu Jingshen agreed, though the screen was still on the recording interface.

Upon hearing ”call the police,” President Wang completely panicked. His bulky body rolled on the ground as he scrambled and lunged to grab the phone. ”Don’t call the police! I was wrong! I’ll pay! One hundred thousand! No, two hundred thousand! Any amount of money is fine!”

Zhang Fan stepped aside to avoid his dirty, grasping hands. ”It’s too late.”

”Fan Zi, wait a moment.” Gu Jingshen suddenly pressed his arm, his gaze falling on Liu Ruyan.

Liu Ruyan was currently leaning in Zhang Fan’s arms, her face so flushed it looked like it might bleed. Her breathing was as rapid as a fish thrown into hot water, her hands beginning to unconsciously claw at her clothes, and faint whimpers spilled from her throat, carrying an unusual heat.

Gu Jingshen frowned, leaned in to smell, and then looked at the watery corners of her eyes. His expression darkened. ”Something’s wrong... this isn’t ordinary sleeping pills.”

”What do you mean?” Zhang Fan looked down; his fingertips touched Liu Ruyan’s neck, and it was shockingly hot.

”This is fucking potent aphrodisiac.” Gu Jingshen cursed, his tone full of lingering fear. ”I’ve seen this reaction at clubs before; it’s extremely strong. If no one takes care of it...”

He didn’t finish the sentence, but both of them understood.

With President Wang’s lustful appearance earlier combined with this drug, if Liu Ruyan had really been sent into that room tonight, the consequences would have been unimaginable.

President Wang was still wailing on the ground, but upon hearing the words ”potent aphrodisiac,” he suddenly regained his energy. ”This drugging has nothing to do with me! It was the Liu sisters who threw themselves at me! They asked me to open a room, and they took the drugs themselves!”

”Shut up!” Zhang Fan kicked him in the knee, causing President Wang to howl and drop to his knees. ”Tell that to the police when they get here.”

He turned to Gu Jingshen and said, ”What about Ruyan...”

”Take her to the hospital first.” Gu Jingshen decided immediately. ”This kind of drug needs to be treated promptly; delaying it will harm her body.”

Zhang Fan nodded and carefully adjusted his posture to let Liu Ruyan lean more steadily.

”President Wang,” Gu Jingshen held up his phone, aiming the camera at the paralyzed President Wang on the ground, ”You just said the Liu sisters threw themselves at you? If there’s any other hidden story, speak up now; it might count as a meritorious service.”

How could President Wang dare to hide anything now? He cried and shouted, ”It was her! It was Liu Mengqi who asked me to open a room and said she would send her sister over! She was the one who provided the drug! She said she would let her sister accompany me.”

All of these words were recorded. Gu Jingshen raised an eyebrow and gave Zhang Fan a wink; Liu Mengqi wouldn’t be able to escape now.

The elevator dinged as it arrived. As soon as the door opened a crack, Zhang Fan supported Liu Ruyan and hurried inside.

Gu Jingshen followed behind, his phone camera firmly locked on President Wang and the pale-faced Liu Mengqi. Suddenly remembering something, he deliberately raised his voice and shouted to Liu Mengqi, ”Mengqi, it’s time to go. The leverage is all recorded; he won’t dare not invest in your brother!”

These words were like a poisonous needle, stabbing fiercely into President Wang’s eyes.

He was already burning with rage from being caught in the act. Hearing the word ”investment,” he turned his head sharply to look at Liu Mengqi. The fat on his face twisted, and his gaze shifted instantly from fury to malice.

That’s right, this bitch was sending women over while getting people to record evidence; it was clearly a trap for him to fall into! She wanted to get the investment and also wanted to hold leverage over him to make him obedient in the future!

”Liu Mengqi! You fucking set me up with a honey trap, didn’t you!”

Liu Mengqi felt her skin crawl under his gaze, her face instantly draining of color, and she backed away repeatedly. ”President Wang, I didn’t... I wasn’t...”

”You didn’t?” President Wang gritted his teeth, his spit spraying onto her face. ”Then how did that guy happen to arrive on the scene so coincidentally? And how was he so damn sure I would invest? If it wasn’t a trap you set, then what was it!”

”It really wasn’t me!” Liu Mengqi’s voice trembled with fear, her back hitting the cold wall. ”They just suddenly popped up, I...”

”Fuck you!” President Wang wouldn’t believe it. He vented all the anger from being beaten by Zhang Fan, mixed with the fury of being set up, onto her. His fist, the size of a sand pot, swung towards Liu Mengqi’s eye socket with a whistling sound. ”You dare to scheme against me!”

”Ah—!” Liu Mengqi screamed, clutching her right eye as she crouched on the ground, blood instantly seeping through her fingers.

She trembled all over from the pain, tears mixing with blood droplets falling, crying out, ”President Wang! I really didn’t! Believe me...”

President Wang panted heavily, his chest heaving violently. His gaze at her was like he wanted to eat her alive. ”You still dare to quibble!”

Just then, the elevator door dinged and slowly closed, shutting out President Wang’s roar, Liu Mengqi’s wailing, and the mess on the floor.

The metal door reflected President Wang’s ferocious face and Liu Mengqi’s curled-up figure, which were finally completely blocked by the slowly descending numbers.
