Daily Intelligence: Forced to Save the Beautiful President at the Beginning

58: Chapter 58 Bribing a Waiter to Drug HimLiu Mengqi watched President Wang’s corpulent figure disappear into the elevator, a vicious smile curling the corners of her lips.

Liu Ruyan, so what if you’re the biological daughter of the Liu family? Once President Wang is done with you, let’s see how you can hold your head high and continue to stay in the Liu family!

She turned and walked toward the restroom, not noticing that behind a pillar on the terrace, Zhang Fan was gripping his fists so tightly his knuckles had turned white.

Gu Jingshen, standing beside him, was so angry his voice was trembling: ”Fan Zi, this... what should we do? Should we rush up and beat them up now?”

”Don’t be impulsive.” Zhang Fan’s gaze was locked tightly on Liu Mengqi’s retreating figure. ”Going out now will only alert the enemy. A person like Liu Mengqi definitely has a backup plan.”

He calculated quickly: Stop them directly?

Liu Mengqi would surely bite back, accusing him of harassment; call the police? Without evidence, the police would only treat it as a family dispute to be mediated;

Tell Liu Ruyan?

Given her temperament, she might choose to swallow her pride and suffer in silence, which would instead let Liu Mengqi’s scheme succeed.

”Follow me.” Zhang Fan suddenly grabbed Gu Jingshen and walked toward the elevator. ”We’re going to the 8th floor.”

”Why are we going to the 8th floor?”

”Wait and see.” Zhang Fan pressed the elevator button, his eyes as sharp as knives. ”Liu Mengqi wants to send a lamb into the tiger’s den, so I’ll let her know that not everyone can enter this tiger’s den.”

The elevator doors slowly closed, reflecting their tense faces. Gu Jingshen looked at Zhang Fan’s tightly pursed lips and suddenly understood—this man, who usually looked gentle, was more terrifying than anyone once he was truly enraged.

Meanwhile, in the restroom, Liu Ruyan was staring blankly at the mirror. The water from the faucet was rushing loudly, but it couldn’t wash away the stifling feeling in her heart.

Liu Mingxuan’s words were like needles, Liu Mengqi’s boasting was like a slap in the face, and President Wang’s gaze was like a bug stuck to her body, making her feel completely uncomfortable.

She didn’t know that in the next stall, Liu Mengqi was touching up her makeup in front of the mirror, unzipping her LV bag—inside, besides lipstick and compact powder, there were several blister packs of brightly packaged pills, with ambiguous foreign text on the labels.

These were her ”staples.” Having mingled in the vanity fair for these years, she had long since figured out men’s weaknesses and was well-versed in taking ”shortcuts.” The aphrodisiacs and stimulants in her bag were more effective than any contract; they could make the most difficult clients obediently sign, and they could also make eyesores disappear completely.

She turned and walked out of the restroom, her gaze scanning the waiters in the venue, and quickly locked onto a young man in uniform.

His uniform was crisp, but his eyes betrayed a slickness; one look and you could tell he wasn’t a legitimate hotel employee. He was a ”temp” she had asked a friend at a KTV to find in advance.

”You were introduced by Brother Li, right?” Liu Mengqi walked over and got straight to the point, pulling the blister pack of blue pills from her bag and handing them over, her voice very low. ”Do me a favor, and there will be plenty of rewards for you after it’s done.”

The waiter’s eyes lit up; he recognized this as an enhanced version of ”obedience water” and licked his lips. ”How does the miss want to do this?”

”Dissolve this into her drink.” Liu Mengqi gestured with her chin toward the banquet hall, where Liu Ruyan was standing by the champagne tower, lost in thought. ”Later, help me support her to the 8th floor.”

”This job isn’t easy.” The waiter rubbed his hands, intentionally stalling. ”The venue is full of cameras; I’ll lose my job if I get caught.”

Liu Mengqi sneered and directly opened the mobile transfer interface, the ”20,000 yuan” figure on the screen standing out prominently. ”Twenty thousand, is that enough for you to take this ’risk’?”

As soon as the payment notification sounded, the waiter immediately beamed, hurriedly stuffing the pills into the inner pocket of his uniform, and patted his chest in assurance: ”Enough! More than enough! Don’t worry, Miss, I guarantee I’ll do it cleanly, so even the surveillance cameras won’t catch a trace!”

He took the pills, tucked them into his uniform pocket as if holding a treasure, and turned toward the drink area.

Not long after, Liu Ruyan finally recovered from the embarrassment of ”doing odd jobs is shameful” and was just about to find an excuse to leave when she heard Liu Mengqi’s voice.

”Ruyan, over here!” Liu Mengqi stood by the champagne tower and waved at her, a gentle smile plastered on her face, while the corner of her eye was fixed tightly on the waiter’s movements.

Liu Ruyan hesitated for a moment, but still walked over. She didn’t want to have a conflict with Liu Mengqi; she just wanted to end this suffocating summit quickly and return to her workstation at Singularity Technology, where the code and the starry sky made her feel more at ease than the hypocrisy here.

The waiter passed by at the right moment carrying a tray of drinks, with three glasses of champagne on the tray, bubbles slowly rising in the golden liquid.

Liu Mengqi calmly picked up the middle glass, her fingertips tapping lightly on the side of the glass—this was the secret signal she had agreed upon with the waiter, indicating this glass was spiked.

”About the past, I was wrong.” Liu Mengqi handed over the champagne. ”As long as you stay away from the Liu family from now on, we’ll mind our own business.”

Liu Ruyan looked at the champagne, tiny bubbles floating in the golden liquid. It was taken from the waiter’s tray, so it should... be fine, right?

She hesitantly took it, her fingertips touching the cold glass. ”I... I just want to occasionally go home and see Mom and Dad.”

”Sure, you can.” Liu Mengqi raised her own glass and gently clinked it against hers, making a crisp sound. ”As long as you don’t fight me for the position of the eldest daughter of the Liu family, you can visit for as long as you want.”

”I’ve never thought about fighting for it.” Liu Ruyan’s voice carried a hint of grievance. ”I just want them to be well.”

”That’s good.” Liu Mengqi smiled like a cat that had stolen some fish, tilted her head back, and drained the wine in her glass. ”Cheers.”

Liu Ruyan looked at her open manner and finally breathed a sigh of relief, taking a big gulp herself. The champagne bubbles burst on her tongue, carrying a strange sweetness, but left a slightly bitter aftertaste as it slid down her throat.

She didn’t notice the sinister arc that curled the corners of Liu Mengqi’s lips the moment she turned away.

A few minutes later, Liu Ruyan suddenly felt dizzy and lightheaded; the figures in front of her began to double, and the sound of laughter and chatter in her ears seemed to be separated by a layer of water.

She held onto the sofa armrest, wanting to stand up, but her legs were as soft as noodles, and the next second, she collapsed toward the floor.

”Oh my, what’s wrong with you?” Liu Mengqi quickly caught her, the concern in her tone as fake as acting. ”Are you drunk? Let me take you upstairs to rest.”

She gave a wink to the waiter, and the two of them supported the unconscious Liu Ruyan, one on each side, and walked quickly toward the elevator.

Meanwhile, in the fire stairwell on the 8th floor, Zhang Fan and Gu Jingshen were staring intently at the corridor.

Footsteps came from the end of the corridor, and Liu Mengqi and the waiter, supporting Liu Ruyan, stopped at the door of room 8012.

”Ruyan was really brought here by them.” Gu Jingshen lowered his voice, the camera aimed at the direction of room 8012, the record button already pressed.

Zhang Fan didn’t speak, his eyes as cold as if they had been quenched in ice.

President Wang was already waiting there. Seeing Liu Ruyan’s limp state, the lust in his eyes almost spilled over, and he rubbed his hands together, smiling: ”Miss Liu really has high efficiency.”

”As long as President Wang is satisfied.” Liu Mengqi smiled ambiguously and reached out to push open the door. ”My sister is here, so you must cherish her.”

”Naturally, naturally.” President Wang’s eyes shone like a hungry wolf staring at a lamb, his thick tongue licking his lips, saliva almost dripping onto his shirt.

He patted his bulging pocket, the aluminum foil inside rustling: ”If Miss Liu satisfies me, I will add another 50 million in investment.”

His fat hand fumbled around his chest. ”I brought good stuff today—two little blue pills, guaranteed to make your sister cry and beg for mercy.”

Liu Mengqi laughed until she shook, her fingertips tracing over President Wang’s flabby belly, and she deliberately pinched his chest. ”President Wang really knows how to cherish people.”

President Wang grunted from the pinch, his fat hand suddenly grabbing her wrist and pulling her into his arms. ”Why is just cherishing her enough? Miss Liu is so alluring, why not join in? Brother here guarantees to let you taste the sweetness too.”

”You’re annoying, President Wang.” Liu Mengqi giggled and broke free, her fingertips scraping his chin. ”Today, just play well with my sister; she’s much more tender than me.”

Saying this, she suddenly shoved the limp Liu Ruyan forward. ”I won’t disturb your fun.”

Liu Ruyan’s limp body was like a fallen leaf, crashing straight into President Wang’s arms. Her brows were tightly furrowed, her lips pale; clearly, the drug had taken effect, and she didn’t even have the strength to open her eyes.

President Wang smiled until his eyes narrowed into slits, his fat hand just about to wrap around Liu Ruyan’s waist, his Adam’s apple bobbing as if he had swallowed an egg. ”This little body...”
