Weakest Beast Tamer Gets All SSS Dragons

Chapter 1210: Chapter 1210 - Taming the Old World - Elemental Dragons - 7

The jamming array Ren was feverishly engineering in his mind was not an ethereal construct like Selthias dome since he wasn’t yet at that level of comprehension. It was a massive, physical architectural formation of adamantium, bedrock, and his mana infused artificial Diamond-tier wood.

He intended to physically hijack the very foundations of Yino’s royal castle, anchoring his cage to the absolute deepest, most resistant stone structures existing beneath the capital to permanently halt the Hydra’s advance. This was not merely a cage hastily erected on the battlefield; it was a sprawling trap deliberately sinking its roots into the very bedrock of Yino.

But the corruption was not an unthinking beast.

And more importantly, the entity currently piloting the colossal vessel was not Selthia.

Selthia was unconscious... The sheer trauma of surviving Ren’s nuclear strike had exhausted her human vessel nerves completely. She had protected herself, retreating deep into the safety of the corrupted crystal to survive.

The entity currently commandeering the five-headed Hydra was the true, sovereign aura of the purple dragon itself, the pure, unadulterated fraction of the corruption’s original cosmic energy that usually resided exclusively within the central God-soul crystal of the planetary size network.

And this ancient, primordial form was vastly more battle intelligent, faster at calculating tactical geometry, and infinitely more lethal than any remote-controlled mutant. It reacted to the battlefield in terrifying real-time, instantly adapting to every single micro-adjustment Ren made. The exact millisecond Ren successfully anchored the first two spikes into the bedrock, the dragon immediately understood the tactical blueprint...

It knew he was building a cage.

Successfully weaving a hyper-complex, multi-layered runic array around a colossal, aggressively moving, Diamond-rank target was bordering on impossible.

But Ren possessed a decent surplus of adamantium spikes. And he was currently operating at three hundred percent of his absolute maximum output.

Both had good chances to impose on the other...

The Water head pivoted toward Ren, unhinging its jaws to unleash a high-pressure geyser.

But Ren’s Diamond power Hydra instantly retaliated. The jade heads snapped forward, intercepting the attack with a massive beam of absolute zero light that instantly froze the geyser into a harmless pillar of shattered ice.

Without breaking his forward momentum for a single microsecond, Ren hurled the third adamantium spike directly into the opposite flank.

The five-headed Hydra thrashed wildly. With a sickening, tearing sound, it gruesomely ripped massive chunks of its own corrupted flesh away from its chassis, tearing itself off the first spike to regain its mobility.

”You are absolutely not escaping,” Ren hissed through clenched teeth.

He aggressively hijacked the several massive, shattered plates of pseudo-adamantium armor that had belonged to his ruined tower.

And swiftly slammed the metal over the cracking bedrock, physically welding the adamantium to big parts of the stone to reinforce the anchor point before it could completely shatter. The stone held. The beast had torn a massive chunk of its own neck away near the Earth head in a desperate, bloody struggle that had ultimately gained it zero ground.

And Ren was already driving the fourth spike deep into its spine...

It was a grueling, agonizingly brutal tug-of-war.

The dragon relentlessly charged forward. It aggressively fired all five of its sovereign elements simultaneously, clawing and dragging its colossal mass inch by agonizing inch toward the royal vaults. It moved with the terrifying, single-minded determination of a predator that knows its ultimate prey is only a few dozen meters away.

Ren violently countered every single aggressive movement, but he could not bring the colossal mass to an absolute, dead halt.

The Hydra was advancing...

It wasn’t a fast charge. It was a slow, terrifying crawl toward the vault doors.

The six indestructible ancient artifacts, serving as its lower extremities, scratched and gouged the bedrock leaving massive, smoldering trenches in the stone. And with every single agonizing meter it gained, the five heads unleashed a huge barrage to cover its advance.

Ren maintained his three-way fusion to control the cage and his hydra to defend, but he absolutely refused to utilize any energy for a direct offensive strike.

The colossal Diamond-jade Hydra remained stationed directly below him, acting as a massive, sovereign shield, canceling the apocalyptic elemental barrage. Its catastrophic output was not being wasted on retaliatory lightning strikes, nor was it being dumped into the adamantium spikes that Ren was delicately manually manipulating.

The energy was solely dedicated to channeling.

Every single drop of that ungodly, primordial dragon energy flowed directly into the construction of the jamming array. The raw ether granted Ren the terrifying capacity to telekinetically lift, weld, and manipulate colossal volumes of hyper-dense material that a single human Tamer should never have moved.

The sovereign Hydra was the engine. Ren was the architect.

And with every single defensive parry, Ren forcefully permanently integrated another piece of jagged metal into his runic array.

A massive sheet of shattered adamantium was welded over one of the ancient artifact legs. A colossal pillar of hyper-compressed stone was aggressively wedged horizontally between two more. The cage was growing piecemeal. It was still an ugly, desperate, improvised structure, entirely devoid of architectural elegance. Every single jagged addition was hurriedly slammed into place in the stolen microseconds between apocalyptic elemental blasts.

But it was growing.

The beast gained a single meter. Ren briskly drove two more massive spikes into its flesh and permanently locked the ground down, then made a wall just in front of it stealing the meter right back.

It dragged itself forward another foot. Ren aggressively wove a massive, unbreakable grate of Diamond-rank wood directly between its metallic legs, bringing its movement to a dead halt.

Inch by agonizing inch, the terrifyingly close distance to the vault doors finally stopped shrinking.

And then, the corrupted Hydra roared.

For a terrifying, fleeting moment, the stone and metal that Ren had welded to the bedrock cracked.

It was absolutely not a roar born of physical pain. It was something vastly deeper, infinitely more furious. It was a terrifying, cosmic vibration of pure, unadulterated corrupted energy that erupted simultaneously from all five throats and expanded across the continent. It ripped through the capital, roared across the great bridge toward Yano, and resonated through the entire sister city complex.

Miles away, on the southwestern Great Wall, Klein and the defensive squad led by Tao and Anuar felt the shockwave as they desperately held the line against the endless tide of Gold-rank and lower mutants.

Far to the south, Ren’s parents felt the terrifying vibration too, while Finch frantically and loudly assured them that Ren was perfectly fine because he could explicitly ”feel it in his mushrooms,” a sentiment echoed by Theodore, who dramatically flexed his muscles and loudly proclaimed that absolutely everything was under the flawless control of the invincible Glorious General.

The Six Guards and the Three Maids, fiercely holding the line and slaughtering the lower-tier mutants from the West all the way to the Northwest defensive sectors, felt the apocalyptic shudder run through their boots too.

Even Lykea, stationed far away in the Northern sector, felt the unnatural vibration and was instantly struck by a terrifying, suffocating premonition.

Much closer to the epicenter, high in the ash-choked air, Sirius stumbled in mid-flight, feeling very bad just before Liu...

He had been racing toward the courtyard alongside the majority of the Vanguard elites, desperately following behind an ultra fast Ren to provide whatever support they could muster.

Only Lin and Selphira remained stationed further back on the defensive line, ruthlessly containing the remaining mutants still pouring through the shattered perimeter. They had ”forcefully ordered” the girls forward with a, ”Go with him, we will hold the line,” and were now forced to watch the last fight unfold from a distance, completely incapable of contributing anything beyond city defense.
