I've Already Snagged a Top-tier Goddess at the Start; I'm Incredibly Wealthy!

36: Liu Qingqin, who loves watching horror moviesWho would have thought that this seemingly well-behaved girl in front of him would actually enjoy watching horror movies.

The contrast was truly striking.

Cao Lang had been scared by Hong Kong films when he was a child, and a shadow of fear regarding horror movies remained to this day.

”Oh? You’re not afraid?” Cao Lang raised an eyebrow.

”I’m not afraid.”

”I won’t be scared if I watch with someone else.”

Liu Qingqin added in a soft voice, a blush quietly creeping onto her cheeks. The subtext in those words was self-evident.

”But I am afraid.” Cao Lang pressed a hand to his forehead with a bitter smile.

”Brother, you’re actually afraid of watching horror movies?”

Liu Qingqin’s eyes lit up and she grew excited, as if she had discovered a new PDD user.

”Then we definitely have to watch one. You’ll secrete tons of dopamine after watching, and you’ll fall in love with horror movies.”

”No, no, I’m not watching.” Cao Lang hurriedly waved his hands in refusal.

”Watch it, watch it. They’re really good!” Having seen a more down-to-earth side of Cao Lang, Liu Qingqin’s courage gradually grew.

She grabbed Cao Lang’s arm and began to act spoiled. Her fullness pressed against his sturdy arm through her thin dress; that delicate and charming appearance made it hard for anyone to refuse!

Feeling that incredible softness and unable to withstand the little lolita’s pouting, Cao Lang finally gave in and instructed the driver, ”Go to the nearest Starry Curtain Private Cinema.”

The driver acknowledged, turned the steering wheel, and merged into another lane of traffic.

Seeing that she had gotten her way, Liu Qingqin stuck out her tongue and gave a brilliant smile.

Starry Curtain Private Cinema was a famous private theater in Magic City, known for its privacy and luxurious experience.

The Phantom stopped at the entrance, and a waiter immediately stepped forward to respectfully open the car door.

Liu Qingqin followed Cao Lang out of the car. Looking at the low-key yet luxurious storefront, she once again felt an atmosphere completely different from her daily life.

She quietly tugged on Cao Lang’s sleeve, looking a bit timid, worried that her outfit might be too ”student-like.”

Cao Lang naturally slowed his pace to walk side-by-side with her. ”Don’t be nervous. The environment here is nice and very quiet.”

Guided by the waiter, the two entered the cinema. The audio equipment and laser projectors were all top-tier brands, and the privacy of the space was excellent, featuring a spacious large bed and a soft sofa.

There was also a bar area nearby with soft lighting, the wine cabinet filled with all sorts of precious and famous liquors.

When picking a film, Liu Qingqin indeed insisted on watching a highly-rated horror movie.

Cao Lang didn’t mind and nodded, then had the waiter bring some popcorn—and of course, Liu Qingqin’s favorite AD Calcium Milk was included.

The two chose to watch the movie on the sofa. The soft, wide sofa was no different from a large bed, almost completely enveloping them both.

Liu Qingqin took off her shoes, revealing a pair of small feet wrapped in white silk ankle socks. Her toes curled and uncurled; one could tell the girl was very excited.

The atmosphere in this cinema was perfect. Lying here for a while was a treat, even if they did nothing at all.

The movie began.

Five minutes in, Cao Lang was already starting to question his life choices.

The visuals were eerie, and the background music was bone-chilling. Suddenly, a dark shadow lunged out, and Cao Lang instinctively flinched.

Liu Qingqin, however, looked calm, still eating her popcorn with great relish.

Cao Lang stole a glance at her.

Liu Qingqin waved her little fists, her face lit with excitement. ”Is the female lead about to be caught by the ghost? This is so thrilling!”

Cao Lang gave a dry laugh. ”Uh... yeah, thrilling.”

Liu Qingqin suddenly leaned in and whispered, ”Are you afraid to watch?”

”No!” Cao Lang insisted stubbornly. As a grown man, there was really no reason for him to be more cowardly than a young girl.

Hearing this, Liu Qingqin showed her little tiger teeth. ”If you’re brave enough to watch, why are your eyes closed?”

She tilted her head and said quite seriously, ”You’re so timid, but it’s actually quite cute.”

Liu Qingqin didn’t know why she was so brave either. Given her usually quiet and polite exterior, she should have had the personality of a little rabbit, but she seemed to have a ’horror movie constitution.’ Seeing the ghosts flailing on the screen made her feel unusually excited inside.

Only when particularly terrifying scenes appeared would she instinctively shrink toward Cao Lang’s side.

Cao Lang felt a bit embarrassed. He was also wondering: why was this little thing so brave?

He had thought that by watching a horror movie, Liu Qingqin would be scared into his arms. Now, he was the one who needed her company to even watch it.

At this moment, Liu Qingqin was half-reclining on the sofa, a posture that perfectly outlined her graceful curves.

The white dress had a smooth texture, her slender waist could be encircled by a single hand, and below were the parts covered by the hem. Her calves, wrapped in knee-high white socks, were slightly curled up, and her small leather shoes had been kicked aside, revealing her cute ankles.

From time to time, Liu Qingqin would glance at Cao Lang, who was jumping at every scare. She suppressed her schadenfreude, continuously stuffing popcorn into her mouth one by one.

Cao Lang regretted it. Why watch a horror movie! If he had known, they would have watched a cartoon!

He picked up a piece of popcorn and, using the light from the screen, held it up to Liu Qingqin’s mouth.

”Ah—” Liu Qingqin instinctively opened her small mouth and took the popcorn in. Her cheeks puffed out slightly, like a little hamster sneaking food.

Her full lips shimmered with a moist luster under the shifting light; it was indeed... extremely tempting.

When she closed her mouth, her pearly teeth accidentally bit down on Cao Lang’s finger. After realizing it, her face instantly turned beet red, and her eyes darted away, not daring to look at him.

The Liu Qingqin who had been so arrogant a moment ago instantly became well-behaved.

Her little heart was thumping wildly. She gripped the hem of her dress tightly with both hands, mortified that she had just licked his finger!

Cao Lang withdrew his hand as if nothing had happened and ate a piece of popcorn himself. He turned his gaze back to the screen, but his mind had already drifted far away.

After a while, the plot on the screen slowed down. Liu Qingqin seemed to have gathered her courage; she also picked up a piece of popcorn and, mimicking Cao Lang’s earlier action, somewhat clumsily held it to his mouth.

Her small hand was slender and fair, her fingertips trembling slightly with a hint of nervousness.

Cao Lang was slightly stunned, then he smiled. He leaned down and ate the popcorn, his thick lips inadvertently brushing against her fingertips.

Liu Qingqin withdrew her hand as if she’d received an electric shock. Her heart beat even faster, and her face felt burning hot.

The darkness became the best cover.

Cao Lang silently moved a bit closer to Liu Qingqin. Their shoulders touched, and he could feel the feverish warmth and heart-pounding softness of the little lolita’s graceful body.
