Chapter 154: Old Ning Must Absolutely Not Find Out

The Abyss Shadow Demon died.

With their leader dead, the remaining Abyss demons fell into despair.

They were all chopped to pieces amid screams.

The military badges kept glowing as military merits increased.

From this wave, Lin Moyu and Ning Yiyi each gained 1200 military merits.

The Shadow Demon was worth the most at 1000 merits, 500 each.

The other 14 demons were below level 40.

Each worth 100 merits, split between two people, 50 each.

Lin Moyu’s military merits again exceeded 3000.

Ning Yiyi’s reached 1800.

Besides merits and experience, they also obtained a Demon Crystal.

This was also one of the requirements for Bai Yiyuan’s mission.

Come here to kill Abyss demons and obtain Demon Crystals.

It seemed Bai Yiyuan had predicted Lin Moyu would encounter demons over level 40, giving the mission early.

Ning Yiyi said smiling, “From now on, I’ll pretend to be very scared to lure them down to kill. This way we won’t worry about them escaping.”

This was indeed a method, but not foolproof.

Lin Moyu said, “The only trouble is encountering demons with ranged attack abilities.”

There were countless types of demons, and many had ranged attacks.

If they encountered those, the demons could hide in the sky releasing skills, attacking at will and leaving at will. It would be very troublesome.

Demons weren’t monsters. They had intelligence and would flee if outmatched.

“Hopefully at level 30, there will be relevant skills.”

His experience was already at 89% of level 26, not far from leveling up.

At level 30, he could use junior skill scrolls to learn new skills.

Perhaps the situation would improve then.

…

At the White God’s courtyard in Summer Capital University.

Meng Anwen stared blankly at Bai Yiyuan.

The usually calm Meng Anwen rarely showed such an expression.

“Have you gone mad?”

He mumbled.

Bai Yiyuan chuckled, “How am I mad? I want to see this kid’s limits.”

“The large Tyrant Desert dungeon couldn’t stump him, instead letting him earn a lot of points.”

“He could even solo the Hell difficulty Dragon Frontline Outpost dungeon.”

“He wiped out over ten thousand Hell Hounds easily.”

“I think this Elemental Secret Realm won’t stump him either.”

Meng Anwen frowned, “How is that the same? What level is the Elemental Secret Realm, and what level were those dungeons?”

“The Elemental Queen’s attributes are equivalent to level 40 high-level demons, and you know how powerful her skills are.”

“Lin Moyu has many skeletons, but the Elemental Queen isn’t afraid of mass attacks.”

Bai Yiyuan wasn’t worried at all, “It’s fine, if he can’t win he can still escape. It’s good to suffer a setback occasionally, at least to know this kid’s limits.”

“If I don’t let him suffer a bit, wouldn’t that make me seem useless?”

“Even if he dies it’s fine. With the Soul Hall imprint, he won’t really die.”

“And not just the Elemental Secret Realm, I also told him to go to Battlefield No. 3, to the Abyss border to kill demons, and to run the Abyss Outpost dungeon there too.”

Meng Anwen stared at Bai Yiyuan’s nonchalant expression.

Suddenly he smiled, “Did you forget something?”

“What?”

Bai Yiyuan didn’t think he had forgotten anything.

“Old Ning’s granddaughter is with Lin. She doesn’t have a Soul Hall imprint. If she dies…”

“Old Ning would probably fight you to the death!”

Slap!

Bai Yiyuan suddenly slapped his thigh, “Damn, I forgot about that.”

“What should we do? Should I go find them and bring them back?”

Seeing Bai Yiyuan lose composure, Meng Anwen smiled even more happily, “Now you’re scared? But it should be fine. Though Yiyi doesn’t have a Soul Hall imprint, Old Ning should have cast a soul protection spell on her.”

Hearing “soul protection spell”, Bai Yiyuan finally relaxed, “Why didn’t you say so earlier?”

“I’m just telling you to be more careful and thorough next time,” Meng Anwen said softly, closing his eyes again.

Bai Yiyuan completely relaxed now, picking up his teacup, “Then it should be fine. Even if they encounter high-level demons at the Abyss border, worst case they’ll just die and come back.”

“What do you mean die and come back?” A voice suddenly rang out as Ning Tairan walked in.

He sat down heavily, “What do you mean die and come back?”

Bai Yiyuan hurriedly shook his head, “Nothing, you misheard.”

This couldn’t be said. Old Ning absolutely must not be told.

Otherwise, this little courtyard would likely not survive.

Ning Tairan asked, “Where did you send that brat for a mission?”

He was asking about Lin Moyu, but what Ning Tairan really wanted to know was where Ning Yiyi had gone.

Bai Yiyuan said, “To the Elemental Battlefield. Don’t worry, with Lin, your precious granddaughter will be fine. Moreover, you cast a soul protection spell, so she can’t die.”

Ning Tairan snorted coldly, “If anything happens to my granddaughter, I’ll settle accounts with you first.”

Bai Yiyuan smiled placatingly, “Don’t worry, don’t worry, nothing will happen.”

He didn’t dare tell Ning Tairan where Lin Moyu and Ning Yiyi really went.

Meng Anwen rested with eyes closed, the corners of his mouth twitching as he struggled not to laugh.

…

At the Abyss border of Battlefield No. 3.

The mist suddenly parted, revealing a black portal.

Pairs of blood-red eyes appeared behind the portal.

Abyss energy entered Battlefield No. 3 unimpeded.

As Abyss energy scattered across the battlefield, Abyss Man-Eaters appeared one after another.

In the blink of an eye, over a thousand Man-Eaters appeared in various corners of Battlefield No. 3.

The owners of the blood-red eyes rushed out of the black portal, demon after demon descending.

In an instant, a full twenty demons appeared in Battlefield No. 3.

“Hahaha, human world, this demon has arrived!”

“The legendary delicious human flesh, this demon has come to taste!”

“Humans, wash your necks and wait!”

The demons let out piercing laughter, deafening.

Massive spell attacks rained down from the sky, engulfing them.

The Abyss demons were stunned, roaring in anger.

“Who!”

“Which bastard dares to sneak attack this demon!”

“Ow! It hurts! This demon will kill you!”

“You’re dead!”

With a hum, red light descended.

Red shackles appeared above all the demons’ heads.

The angry roars stopped abruptly.

Skeleton warriors followed up, leaping high and landing on the demons.

They grabbed the demons with all limbs, not letting them escape.

After falling under the curse, these demons had already lost the possibility of escape.

As the skeleton warriors’ blades fell on their bodies, flesh flew and screams rang out non-stop.

Wings were severed, limbs were cut off, demon blood gushed out like fountains.

The black earth of the Elemental Battlefield became even darker.

At this moment, several Abyss Man-Eater corpses were thrown over, landing on the Abyss demons’ heads.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Skill: Corpse Explosion!

Lin Moyu detonated the Abyss Man-Eater corpses in mid-air.

Though Abyss Man-Eaters’ levels and attributes were inferior to Abyss demons, their vitality wasn’t weak.

With Corpse Explosion’s 30x amplification, attacking with 600% of the Abyss Man-Eaters’ vitality.

One explosion might be fine, these demons could perhaps withstand it.

But under several consecutive explosion attacks, even Abyss demons couldn’t hold on.

…

After the explosions, this batch of Abyss demons that had just entered Battlefield No. 3 died as thoroughly as possible.

They didn’t even have a chance to fly away and escape, dying at perhaps the fastest speed in history.

Who told them to be so unlucky as to appear right in front of Lin Moyu.

After instantly killing 20 Abyss demons, Lin Moyu and Ning Yiyi each gained another 1000 military merits.

“So this is the spatial channel between the Abyss and human world.” Ning Yiyi curiously looked at the spatial channel dozens of meters away.

The black portal about 10 meters high flickered with pitch-black light, occasionally with lightning flashing across.

The space around the portal distorted, rippling constantly like water waves.

This was Lin Moyu’s first time seeing a spatial channel in person too.

The Abyss world and human world colliding and connecting.

Besides specific channels, temporary channels would occasionally form naturally.

These temporary channels mostly didn’t last long, existing for only a few minutes or even shorter.

And the channels were fragile, only able to accommodate demons that weren’t very powerful.

Lin Moyu and Ning Yiyi were equally curious about the spatial channel. The Abyss world was right behind it.

Abyss energy was constantly flowing from the spatial channel into the Elemental Battlefield, turning into Abyss Man-Eaters one after another.

“Oh, more demons are coming out.”

More pairs of blood-red eyes appeared in the spatial channel.

Lin Moyu had an idea. The skeleton warriors immediately threw a demon corpse towards the spatial channel.

As the corpse entered the spatial channel, Lin Moyu activated his skill.

With a huge explosion, the entire spatial channel shook violently.
