Who Made Him an Antagonist

188: Chapter 188 Cui Yunxuan’s MotherA few hours later, just as Qin Ge got off the plane at the tarmac, a bright red ferrari sped over.

Xu Shiyin rolled down the car window, took off her sunglasses, and greeted him happily, ”Get in!”

Qin Ge opened the car door, sat in the passenger seat, and looked at Xu Shiyin as she revved the engine. He asked puzzledly, ”What leisure does Cui Yunxuan’s mother have to invite me over for a meal?”

Xu Shiyin held the steering wheel with one hand and brushed the dark hair from her forehead back with the other. ”Come on! Mr. Qin, you are the great benefactor who saved Yunxuan!”

”As Yunxuan’s mother, isn’t it only natural for her to show some gratitude to you?”

”Besides, Qin Ge, don’t think this is just a simple, casual meal. Auntie Mo is a world-class, top-tier chef!”

”Back then, chefs from Michelin-starred restaurants even came personally to ask Auntie Mo for advice. Her culinary skills are simply divine!”

”Even I haven’t tasted Auntie Mo’s cooking many times. This time, I’m getting to share in your glory!”

Just thinking about it, Xu Shiyin couldn’t help but lick her moist lips and start swallowing her saliva.

Qin Ge smiled and didn’t take it to heart.

Half an hour later, the ferrari stopped at the entrance of a villa.

After Xiao Ju helped open the car door, as soon as Qin Ge stepped out, he saw the mother and daughter, Mo Xianglan and Cui Yunxuan, standing together.

Cui Yunxuan was wearing a pure black cheongsam, which set off her graceful figure, making her curves prominent and exquisite.

Her pretty face had delicate features, and her expression was as cold and glamorous as ever.

Beside her, Mo Xianglan was wearing a cheongsam in ink-wash tones.

What surprised Qin Ge was that Mo Xianglan, who was over forty, showed no signs of gaining weight in her figure.

In fact, compared to Cui Yunxuan, she was even more voluptuous, possessing an extra touch of mature feminine charm!

As for her appearance, being able to give birth to such a great beauty as Cui Yunxuan, Mo Xianglan must have naturally been stunning in her youth. Even now that she was older, she remained flawless, a true, intellectual, mature woman.

”Auntie Mo, did you make stuffed tofu today?”

The fashionably dressed Xu Shiyin, having just stepped out of the car, went up and hugged Mo Xianglan’s arm, whining coquettishly, ”After I ate the stuffed tofu you made last time, Auntie, I went to so many restaurants and never found the same taste as yours again!”

Xiao Ju said seriously, ”How can the chefs outside be as authentic as our Madam’s dishes?! Eight or nine out of ten chefs in the star-rated hotels in Qingyuan and Yunhai City are disciples’ disciples or even further descendants of our Madam’s father. Our Madam has received the true teachings of the old master! Her culinary skills are simply overwhelming the moment she appears!”

Mo Xianglan smiled and shook her head, patted Xu Shiyin’s little head, and said with a smile, ”I knew you liked stuffed tofu, so I specifically added it to the menu.”

Xu Shiyin said happily in a sweet voice, ”Auntie Mo is the best!”

Mo Xianglan gently patted Xu Shiyin’s hand, then slowly walked towards Qin Ge, and said with a faint smile, ”Mr. Qin, I am just a housewife. Previously, I couldn’t find out your preferences, Mr. Qin, so today’s table of dishes is mainly Cantonese cuisine. I hope you don’t mind, Mr. Qin.”

Qin Ge took out the gift he had brought along and said with a smile, ”Auntie, you’ve gone to a lot of trouble. This is a beauty product newly developed by my aunt’s research lab abroad; it has very good effects.”

He didn’t bring any alcohol. Cui Yunxuan’s father was still lying in the hospital, a vegetable. Bringing it would have been an eyesore.

Mo Xianglan smilingly accepted the gift, let Xiao Ju take it, and then led the way, saying, ”Mr. Qin, please follow me!”

Following behind Mo Xianglan, before Qin Ge even entered the dining room, he smelled a rich aroma wafting towards him.

Walking in to take a look, he saw that the long dining table was filled with a dazzling array of sumptuous dishes.

Steamed East Star Grouper, White Cut Chicken, Crispy Roast Goose, Braised Squab... The top ten Cantonese dishes were all there.

Besides that, Su-style dishes like Squirrel Mandarin Fish, Biluo Shrimp, and Hui-style dishes like Fuliji Roast Chicken were all present.

The dishes on the table were like a full Manchu-Han feast; all eight major cuisines were represented!

Qin Ge looked at Mo Xianglan in surprise and said, ”Auntie, isn’t this too grand?”

”This is just a small token of my appreciation as a housewife,” Mo Xianglan said humbly. ”Mr. Qin, please take the seat of honor!”

At Mo Xianglan’s request, Qin Ge didn’t exchange any more pleasantries and sat in the main seat.

Xu Shiyin, meanwhile, stared at the table full of sumptuous dishes, her mouth constantly watering.

She had eaten these dishes before. But Xu Shiyin knew clearly in her heart that the skills of those chefs outside definitely couldn’t compare to Auntie Mo’s.

This time, she was really benefiting from Qin Ge’s presence!

Her bright eyes were fixed on Qin Ge and Mo Xianglan. As long as one of them picked up their chopsticks first, she would definitely follow suit, feast heartily, sweep everything away, and eat to her heart’s content, throwing weight loss to the back of her mind. If she could eat Auntie Mo’s cooking every day, she would be willing to weigh over a hundred pounds!!

”Mr. Qin!”

Mo Xianglan, sitting below him, stood up, held a glass of wine, and toasted Qin Ge, saying, ”Regarding the conflict between Yunxuan and the Black Python Gang this time, it is thanks to you that she was able to return safely. This glass of wine, I toast you!”

She tilted her slender neck and drank it all in one gulp.

Immediately, she poured herself another glass and said again, ”It is also thanks to you, Mr. Qin, for helping Yunxuan solve the trouble at the Yellow Dragon Club. This glass of wine, I should also toast you!”

Seeing her mother pouring herself another drink, Cui Yunxuan tugged at her arm and whispered, ”Mom, you can’t drink so much!”

A slight flush appeared on Mo Xianglan’s graceful face. She shook her head, then raised her wine glass again, looked at Qin Ge, and said, ”Mr. Qin, you cured Yunxuan’s knife wound and even removed the scar. For this glass of wine, I, as a mother, should toast you even more!”

After three glasses of wine, Mo Xianglan’s cheeks were already flushed, but she remained sober. She looked at Xiao Ju.

Xiao Ju understood immediately and stood obediently by Qin Ge’s side to serve him dishes.

In terms of education, Xiao Ju dropped out in the third grade. But in terms of table etiquette, Xiao Ju was meticulous, her movements flowing like water, and she wouldn’t affect Qin Ge’s meal.

After all, Xiao Ju was personally trained by Mo Xianglan in table etiquette.

Qin Ge leisurely tasted Mo Xianglan’s cooking. It must be said that some dishes, when made by Mo Xianglan, were indeed unique.

It was a top-tier delicacy that even money might not be able to buy.

He put down his chopsticks, looked in Mo Xianglan’s direction, and said with a faint smile, ”Auntie, if you have something to say, just say it directly. My relationship with Yunxuan and Shiyin is not as distant as you think.”

Preparing such a sumptuous table of dishes, demeaning her own status to elevate his, and starting off by drinking three glasses herself—if Mo Xianglan didn’t have something to say, Qin Ge would absolutely not believe it.

Compared to the hot-blooded, young, and beautiful Cui Yunxuan, Mo Xianglan was fully ripened by the passage of time. She viewed things more deeply and thoroughly. She probably also guessed his intentions.

Mo Xianglan smiled and whispered, ”It really is true that nothing can be hidden from you, Mr. Qin!”

”I presume you also know my husband’s situation, Mr. Qin. Now, the Thunder Dragon Society is leaderless, and it is difficult for a single pillar to support the whole structure.”

”As a housewife, I want to take this opportunity of a meal to hand over the Thunder Dragon Society for you to manage, Mr. Qin.”

Cui Yunxuan bit her moist lips and said eagerly, ”Mom! What is Mr. Qin’s status? How could he possibly stay in the Thunder Dragon Society and be a subordinate for me?!”

Wouldn’t that be insulting Mr. Qin?

Mo Xianglan shook her head slightly, looked at Cui Yunxuan, and said seriously, ”What I mean is, the Cui Family will withdraw from the Thunder Dragon Society. From now on, the Thunder Dragon Society will belong solely to Mr. Qin, and it will have no more connection with our Cui Family!”
