Who Made Him an Antagonist

173: Chapter 173 Ye Yan Arrives UninvitedLooking at Lin Wanrou, who had finished asking and was now shyly lowering her head, her cheeks flushed red.

Qin Ge stood up with a smile, walked behind the curvaceous Lin Wanrou, wrapped his arms around her slender waist from behind, and pressed against her.

He leaned in close to her small, flushed earlobes—red from extreme shyness—and blew a puff of warm air, saying, ”There’s only one bed in this room. If I stay here tonight, wouldn’t it be a bit inconvenient?”

Feeling Qin Ge’s warm chest, Lin Wanrou felt her whole body go soft. She bit her moist lips, shook her head, and whispered, ”It’s convenient.”

”What about Guoguo? The room is so small. If Guoguo is here too, wouldn’t she be able to hear everything clearly?”

Qin Ge’s nose brushed against Lin Wanrou’s satiny black hair, catching a faint, pleasant fragrance.

Reminded of this, Lin Wanrou looked at the narrow room, thought for a long while, and then said slowly, ”I’ll send Guoguo to the neighbor granny’s house downstairs to play for a while later.”

Qin Ge took a popsicle from the small refrigerator and handed it to Lin Wanrou’s little hand, ”You must be hot. Eat this popsicle to cool down.”

Lin Wanrou, holding a spatula, shook her head, ”I’m not that hot. You eat it.”

Qin Ge’s eyes widened, ”Can’t you eat cold things?”

Lin Wanrou looked at the astonished Qin Ge, realized something, and her cheeks turned even redder. She nodded obediently and said, ”I can eat it.”

She parted her lips slightly and took a small, shallow bite of the popsicle Qin Ge was holding.

Thump-thump!

While stir-frying, Lin Wanrou could feel her heart pounding violently at this moment.

It felt as if it were about to jump out of her throat.

She didn’t know if it was shyness, excitement, or anticipation.

Lin Wanrou felt that her life experience was quite unique.

In the past, she was devoted to her studies and had never considered personal romantic matters.

Just after graduation, her sister passed away, leaving only Guoguo behind.

Considering Guoguo’s feelings, she never even considered personal relationships.

She had thought she would raise Guoguo alone and live out her life in solitude.

Yet, she hadn’t expected to meet Qin Ge at this point in time.

Thinking of everything Qin Ge had done for her, Lin Wanrou felt both moved and guilty. Looking at Qin Ge beside her, ripples stirred in her beautiful eyes, and her feelings became increasingly tender.

Before long, Lin Guoguo returned from the neighbor granny’s house.

The little girl’s pretty, jade-carved face was full of joy, ”Mommy! Grandma said Guoguo’s drawing is very beautiful!”

”Guoguo is amazing!”

Lin Wanrou reached out and rubbed her daughter’s little head, then used Guoguo’s desk as a temporary dining table and began to serve the dishes.

Qin Ge opened the cake packaging, placed it in the center of the desk, lit the candles, and turned off the lights.

Lin Wanrou smoothed out her slit cheongsam, sat gently beside Qin Ge, and looked at Lin Guoguo, who was wearing a birthday hat under the candlelight opposite them. She smiled and said, ”Make a wish. After you make a wish and blow out the candles, your dreams will come true!”

The little girl clasped her chubby little hands together devoutly, closed her eyes, and said with great seriousness, ”Guoguo wants to be with Mommy and Daddy forever and ever.”

Whoosh—

After Guoguo blew out the candles, Qin Ge smeared some cream on her face. After some playful teasing, they began to eat the cake and the meal Lin Wanrou had cooked.

Half an hour later,

Lin Guoguo, with her round little belly, sat in Qin Ge’s lap, patted her thumping tummy, tilted her head, and muttered with a giggle, ”Daddy, Guoguo is so full!”

Qin Ge looked down at the little girl in his arms and said with a smile, ”If you’re too full, just go out and walk a few steps.”

Lin Wanrou responded shyly to Qin Ge’s gaze and rubbed Guoguo’s head, ”Mommy needs to wash the dishes, so Guoguo, go stay at the neighbor granny’s house for a while.”

Lin Guoguo pouted, ”I don’t want to, I want to be with Daddy!”

This was the first time Daddy had come home, and it hadn’t been easy for her to finally be with him.

She absolutely refused to leave again.

Lin Wanrou frowned in distress and feigned anger, saying, ”Is Guoguo being disobedient? Daddy has to work during the day, and he even set up a birthday banquet for you in the evening. He’s so tired; doesn’t Guoguo know to let Daddy rest for a while?”

The little girl tilted her head, looked at Qin Ge, and said with heartache, ”Then when Guoguo comes back later, Daddy won’t leave, right?”

”No, I won’t.”

After finally managing to coax Guoguo away.

In the narrow room, only Qin Ge and Lin Wanrou remained, and it was exceptionally quiet.

Qin Ge could even hear Lin Wanrou’s rapid breathing.

Thinking about it, it was understandable.

After all, Lin Wanrou had never had any experience in this regard.

And after taking in Guoguo, she had even less intention of considering her own personal romantic life.

She rarely even spoke to men.

Let alone the current situation.

Lin Wanrou placed her hands between her pressed-together legs, too nervous to look at Qin Ge beside her. She suddenly broke the silence and took the initiative, ”I... I’ll go change my clothes?”

Qin Ge reached out and wrapped his arms around Lin Wanrou’s willow-slender waist, shaking his head, ”No need. What I want is the cheongsam!”

”Ding! Daughter of Destiny Lin Wanrou is feeling shocked, rewarding the Host with +1000 villain points!”

”Ding! Daughter of Destiny Lin Wanrou is feeling fear, rewarding the Host with +2000 villain points!”

”Ding! Daughter of Destiny Lin Wanrou is numb, losing emotional control, rewarding the Host with +3000 villain points!”

...

On the other side, on the way to Lin Wanrou’s residence, Ye Yan had already sobered up.

He had specially changed into a crisp suit, his hair combed meticulously.

In his eyes, there was a sense of determination!

This time, he had come to apologize.

When he first arrived in Yunhai City, he was still able to have simple conversations with Wanrou.

Ever since meeting Qin Ge, Wanrou’s attitude toward him had plummeted.

To explain things clearly, he had to seize this time while Qin Ge was away.

Guoguo was his daughter.

And Wanrou was his woman.

What kind of misunderstanding couldn’t be explained in private?

As the saying goes, a husband and wife’s quarrel is resolved in bed.

No matter what, he and Wanrou had already experienced the intimacy of a husband and wife.

This was something Qin Ge could not compare to!

Ye Yan arrived downstairs at Lin Wanrou’s place, his gaze drawn to the strange flowerbed in the garden.

He stared at the flowerbed downstairs, where the flowers had suddenly bloomed more vibrantly as he approached, and asked in confusion, ”What kind of flower is this?”

He reached out his hand, and as he neared the flowers, the blooming buds all unfurled, the petals trembling as if very excited.

But when Ye Yan walked a little further away, the fresh flowers closed back into tight buds.

”I’ve only heard of the sensitive plant, but I’ve never heard of this kind of flower.”

When he approached, the petals unfurled.

When he left, the petals closed?

Ye Yan thought of what was going to happen tonight, and the smile at the corner of his mouth grew brighter, ”Could it be a shameless flower?!”
