Who Made Him an Antagonist

172: Chapter 172 First Visit to Lin Wanrou’s Little Nest”Daddy, I’m sorry, it’s all Guoguo’s fault!”

”If it weren’t for Guoguo, that big bad guy wouldn’t have come to cause trouble.”

Lin Guoguo gripped Qin Ge’s pant leg with her small hands. Her porcelain-doll-like face was tear-streaked, and she pouted, looking exceptionally aggrieved.

She knew it clearly.

She knew who her real daddy was.

But she didn’t want to admit it; she didn’t want that big bad guy to be her daddy.

She also didn’t want to live with that big bad guy.

She just liked Qin Ge being her daddy, and she just wanted to live with Qin Ge.

The three of them, as a family, living together forever and ever.

Lin Wanrou and Lin Guoguo—one was guiltily wiping away tears with her hand, while the other was wailing on his lap.

It gave Qin Ge a headache watching them.

”Why are you crying? Today is Guoguo’s birthday; we should be celebrating and laughing!”

Qin Ge patted Lin Guoguo’s head, then wrapped his arm around Lin Wanrou’s slender waist and pulled her into his embrace, pretending to be displeased. ”If you cry again, I’ll be angry.”

Ye Yan provided forty-three thousand villain points just like that.

Such a huge, wonderful thing; we should be celebrating!

Lin Wanrou looked at the messy restaurant and said guiltily, ”But the birthday banquet you carefully prepared was ruined by that jerk Ye Yan!”

Qin Ge smiled and shook his head. He looked at Lin Wanrou in his arms, a smile playing on his lips. ”Didn’t you buy a cake earlier? If the birthday banquet is ruined, so be it. Let’s just celebrate Guoguo’s birthday at home. As long as I’m with you to celebrate Guoguo’s birthday, it will have a meaning different from the past.”

He looked at Lin Guoguo, who was holding onto his pant leg, rubbed the little girl’s head, and said with a smile, ”Guoguo, are you willing to go home and celebrate your birthday?”

Lin Guoguo bumped her head heavily against Qin Ge’s calf and nodded repeatedly. ”Yes, Guoguo is willing!”

”Daddy is the best to Guoguo!”

Why was she crying? It wasn’t because she couldn’t celebrate her birthday.

She was afraid that Daddy would be angry, afraid that Daddy didn’t want her anymore!

...

Half an hour later, Qin Ge arrived at Lin Wanrou’s residence for the first time.

It was a rental unit, a studio apartment type.

The entire room was only about thirty-something square meters.

The bathroom, kitchen, and bedroom were arranged in a ’ product’ shape, rotated ninety degrees clockwise.

There was also a five or six-square-meter balcony for drying clothes, making the entire interior area even smaller. The space felt exceptionally cramped; even a proper dining table couldn’t fit.

Even the six-inch birthday cake could only be placed temporarily on Lin Guoguo’s study desk.

As soon as you entered, you were in the kitchen, which completely overlapped with the entryway.

”Qin Ge, I’m sorry, the room is a bit small. Why don’t you sit on the bed?” Lin Wanrou embarrassedly tidied up the clothes in the room, shoving all the clothes and undergarments she had tried on earlier when going out into the wardrobe.

She tied an apron on and said to Lin Guoguo, ”Guoguo, go pour a glass of water. Mommy is going to cook.”

”Okay!”

Lin Guoguo obediently went to get her mommy’s cup to pour water for Qin Ge. She held the cup with both hands and brought it to Qin Ge. ”Daddy, drink water!”

Qin Ge took the cup, took a small sip, and rubbed Lin Guoguo’s head.

Turning his head back, he could see Lin Wanrou wearing an apron, standing sideways to him, her curves exceptionally voluptuous as she cooked.

Fortunately, there was a range hood in this apartment.

Otherwise, just the cooking fumes would be enough to choke someone to death.

Qin Ge asked curiously, ”The Lin family, didn’t they let you move to a different place? Also, that commission, hasn’t it come down yet?”

Lin Wanrou glanced over at the warm scene of Qin Ge sitting on the bed with Guoguo in his arms. Her gentle eyes were filled with an indescribable sense of satisfaction and happiness.

She shook her head and said, ”Grandfather said he would change the house for me; it’s a villa, but it will take some time for Uncle’s family to move out.”

”I thought there was no rush, so I didn’t use the commission I received to buy a house.”

There were some things she didn’t say out loud.

In reality, although the order amount from Jiang Xue Group was huge, her commission wasn’t high—only two or three per thousand, which was just a few hundred thousand.

It was simply not enough to buy a house in a wealthy port city like Yunhai City.

Qin Ge rubbed Lin Guoguo’s head and said with a smile, ”Guoguo, do you want to live in a big house?”

The little girl shook her head. ”There’s no Daddy in a big house. As long as Guoguo lives with Mommy and Daddy, she is happy even in a small house!”

As she said this, she got up from Qin Ge’s lap, walked to the desk, and took out a piece of drawing paper tucked into a notebook. It was drawn with a felt-tip pen.

”Daddy, look, is Guoguo’s drawing good?”

Lin Guoguo held the drawing paper up in front of Qin Ge, her big eyes full of anticipation as she waited for praise.

Qin Ge looked at the two colorful adults on the drawing paper, both holding hands with a little girl who had two long braids. He nodded with a smile and gave a thumbs-up, full of emotional value. ”It’s beautiful! Guoguo, you are great at drawing! Really amazing!”

How could Qin Ge not understand that Guoguo had drawn the ’family of three’ she imagined?

Truth be told, although little Lin Guoguo was Ye Yan’s daughter,

she didn’t have any of Ye Yan’s arrogant personality—that ’I am the boss, and the King of Heaven is second’ attitude. Instead, she had been taught by Lin Wanrou to be very obedient and sensible.

Thinking about the future where Lin Guoguo would live in a doghouse if she stayed with Ye Yan,

Qin Ge smiled and shook his head.

Forget it.

Just let Guoguo stay by Lin Wanrou’s side.

”Mommy, Daddy said Guoguo is great at drawing!”

Having received praise from Qin Ge, the little girl hurriedly took the cup and brought it to Lin Wanrou, who was cooking. She tilted her head up, her big eyes full of anticipation for praise.

”Guoguo is the best!”

Lin Wanrou’s gentle eyes were filled with doting affection as she reached out and rubbed Guoguo’s little head.

She looked at Qin Ge, who was glancing at her, and lowered her head, her cheeks slightly flushed. She looked at Guoguo and said, ”Guoguo, why don’t you go downstairs to Grandma’s house and pick a handful of green onions for Mommy?”

”Okay!”

The little girl treasured the drawing paper in her arms, intending to share her joy with Grandma downstairs as well.

After Guoguo left, Lin Wanrou closed the door. With one hand holding the pan handle and the other cooking, she was a bit absent-minded.

The corner of her eye kept glancing involuntarily in Qin Ge’s direction.

She felt she had let Qin Ge down.

Not only did she intentionally deceive Qin Ge by saying she was Guoguo’s mother,

but she also made Qin Ge take care of Guoguo, who had no blood relation to him.

Thinking of everything Qin Ge had done for her, Lin Wanrou felt both moved and guilty.

If only,

if only she could have a child with Qin Ge that belonged to both of them, that would be great.

Not only would Guoguo not be lonely,

but Qin Ge could also become a real father!

”Qin Ge...”

Lin Wanrou stopped cooking. She glanced sideways, her gentle eyes full of shyness, but she mustered the courage to look into Qin Ge’s deep, resolute eyes. With her moist lips parted, she whispered emotionally, ”Tonight... can you... not leave?”
