Arcane Academy: The Divine Extraction Legacy

Chapter 1278: The Package and the Order

Ruth smiled faintly as Enkrid studied the sword in his hands.

The engraved name, Clovis Skye, seemed to radiate with a strange aura around it…

“Who’s Clovis? He must be a master smith… Or is he a normal crafter?”

“Clovis is… mysterious,” Ruth explained. “Even in the Human Realm, few know his true identity. He never appears in public, never joins guilds, and never reveals his face. Yet his work is unmatched. Every weapon he forges carries a soul of its own. Some say he crafts with materials no mortal should possess. Others would say he’s not human at all. Whatever the truth, he’s super cool… and it seemed that Sir Cyper commissioned him to make this sword for you.”

Enkrid’s heart was filled with joy.

To receive equipment from such a legendary crafter was more than he had ever dreamed. He then held the sword tightly, as he felt the weight of Arcane resonance within the blade.

Still, Ruth and the others turned their attention to the rest of the shipment.

The crates were filled with items that spoke of preparation… not for simple raids, but for war.

Jericho lifted a heavy shield, its surface etched with runes that shimmered faintly.

“I think this is a Voidbreaker Shield. Right… It can withstand strikes infused with Divinity… With this, even knights empowered by nobles won’t break our line.”

Cecilia opened another crate, revealing a set of vials.

“More Philosopher’s Elixirs,” she murmured. “Enough to awaken at least twenty more recruits, if they survive.”

Her tone was cautious, but her eyes gleamed with ambition. Getting more of these recruits could happen next.

Of course, there were plenty more items from the package they received from their home realm.

Cielo unrolled a scroll… This parchment was even glowing faintly.

“Advanced formations for battle arrays, strategies for channeling Arcane Energy in groups. Perfect… We finally have a better defensive formation…”

Hearing this, Ruth could help but glance at him.

“Yes… Can you see my layered Formation Array? Isn’t that already enough for our defense in case we get attacked?”

“H-hey… I’m not saying you’re lacking… Look, there’s a tinge of Divinity here. I’m not surprised if this formation came from the Headmaster.”

“Headmaster Constance?”

“Mhmm… That’s not surprising, I guess. But I don’t think it’s from her. With this level of work, I’m sure that she’d rather order Sir Magnus to make these things.”

“Ahh… That makes sense…”

Enkrid had no idea how Constance or Magnus were, but he knew that they weren’t simple individuals. Since they could use Divinity, he could only imagine them as lofty beings from another realm.

Well, he was already aware that this group of five people was backed by powerful beings after all.

‘I guess this world will soon be blanketed by chaos…’

Enkrid took a deep breath.

Though he was born of this world, he had suffered much at its hands… betrayal, persecution, and near death. Now, standing among the Dawnblades, he realized the truth… they were preparing for something far greater than Atrium City, and it was getting closer…

Of course, he was aware that Ruth’s faction in the other Realm did not desire destruction.

Ruth mentioned that they desire some sort of coexistence, of bridging worlds. Yet Enkrid knew the people of this realm would never welcome invaders. Bloodshed seemed inevitable, and whoever came on top would be the one setting up rules.

In any case, among all the items in the crates, his eyes fell upon a small, ominous amulet resting among the items.

“What is that? It feels… wrong.”

Ruth picked it up carefully, her smile calm… She had already read through the catalog and was aware of this item.

Still, she also couldn’t help but sigh…

“This is a Spirit Beast Vault Amulet. It’s a spatial artifact that can store up to twenty Spirit Beasts, sealed and dormant… Amazing. They actually lend us this Amulet. I wonder what kind of beasts are inside.”

Enkrid’s eyes widened. “Spirit Beasts?”

Jericho stepped forward as he immediately recognized this time…

“This amulet is borrowed. Its true owner is definitely an Immortal from our realm. I heard about this from Sir Chad. I guess this means that we have to accomplish our immediate goals in a few months or so.

The words struck Enkrid like thunder.

An Immortal’s artifact…

This concept was new to him…

In this world where Swords and Will reign supreme, he couldn’t imagine what kind of item could become equal to this Artifact.

Furthermore, he had no idea what Spirit Beasts were, but if such a being had lent them this tool, it must be extraordinary.

Ruth placed the black amulet back into the crate. “We won’t use it lightly. Spirit Beasts are living weapons, each one capable of turning battles… But they have high intelligence. Ordering them around won’t be easy.”

“Wait… Look. These crystals. They’re definitely Divine Crystals from the catalogue. It must be a way for us to control these Spirit Beasts.”

“T-that’s true.”

The room fell silent as the Dawnblades absorbed the weight of their new arsenal.

They now had several weapons forged by mysterious masters, elixirs that could awaken more Arcanists, scrolls of advanced battle formations, an Immortal’s amulet, and many more…

There were the Amulet of Swift Steps, Crystal of Elemental Shield, and Orb of Arcane Insight. They were precious items that could elevate their strength.

Aside from these, they found various types of Talismans, Spirit Pearls, and a bunch of Arcane Crystals that could easily replenish their Arcane Energy!

Jericho chuckled as he examined the delivered items.

“Our realm is arming us for war… I suppose we’ve already spent a lot of time here. The gates must be greatly stabilized by now. It shouldn’t take long before higher‑ranked Arcanists can enter this realm.”

Everyone nodded at these words.

Sooner or later, the foundation they had built for years would finally be tested…

“I’m guessing that it will just be in six months or maybe just a year.”

“Then, we need to find more people who will join our side.”

Just like that, the Dawnblades began expanding their influence… This time, they were no longer hiding their capabilities!

Meanwhile, the Order of the Sky Sword, one of the most powerful Knight Orders under the rule of the Royal Family, gathered their elites throughout the country…

Soon, twelve knights gathered, and among them was an old knight with a long white beard.

He looked at the rest of the knights. They seemed bored, irritated, and many of them were even dressed improperly.

However, the old man didn’t care as he spoke…

“Sage Mennena has spoken… The invaders are here.”
