Arcane Academy: The Divine Extraction Legacy

Chapter 1034: Valeʼs Trusted Immortals

The chamber fell into silence after Constanceʼs words…

Vale had already given them a heads-up about this situation. They had been learning more and more about the Chaos Arts Practitioners thanks to the Chaos Tower.

At this time, they were just looking forward to what was about to happen.

Soon, each Immortal discussed their preparations to ensure that everyone was on the same page and they could coordinate with each other well.

The Chaos Immortals might be cautious for now, wary of the Time Manipulatorsʼ devastating Forbidden Spell, but everyone in the room knew that delay would not last.

They would strike again with greater force.

Of course, the Shadow Domain had no intention of seeking aid from the continentʼs other Immortal powers—the Churches, the Great Clans, or the Guilds.

If Vale returned, they believed that this matter would be solved, and they only needed to hold until then.

And if their preparations succeeded… perhaps they wouldnʼt just survive. Perhaps they would win.

At this time, Celestial Aurion and Celestial Thane exchanged glances.

”Weʼll reinforce the Starshield Arrays across all five cities. If the Chaos Immortals come, I want their corruption washed away by pure celestial resonance before it touches the walls. Iʼm sure Master Vale wouldnʼt like it if any of his cities got destroyed.” Aurion said.

Aurionʼs specialty was Formation Resonance Constructs, which were layered formation circles that could trap enemy energy and feed it back as purified force. Thane, meanwhile, was a master of Rune Arts… With his help, he was capable of turning a cityʼs defenses into divine weapons by using his Divine Runes.

They planned to merge their talents into something new… A barrier with stored momentum that could contend even against Immortals

Sreas, the Asura, on the other hand, only knew how to fight head-on…

”If they want to come, Iʼll make them bleed before they even see the gates.” She laughed.

Her preparations were not for defense, but for confrontation… Still, with Valeʼs suggestion, she planned to scatter Asura Blood Traps. They were small, almost invisible constructs that used her essence as bait.

Once triggered, these traps would burst into forms of Curses, including illusions so real they could wound the spirit.

But that wasnʼt all. She had also been experimenting with Borrowed Flesh, a brutal Asura technique that let her temporarily graft fragments of her power into mortal soldiers, turning them into terrifying shock troops for brief, decisive moments.

Well, she would need some permission to use it on human defenders, but it was probably not that difficult.

Haruo, one of the six Angels that Vale had recruited, also shared his plan that was planned for him.

”I will sanctify the skies above Clovis and the surrounding cities. If their airships come, theyʼll find themselves flying into consecrated winds.”

Haruoʼs plan was to protect the sky as Vale wished…

He could seed the skies with Feather Formation. He just needs to infuse it with holy essence that could remain aloft for months.

Once activated, they would tear apart hostile magic formations in the air, even stripping the airships of their floating ability if used correctly…

Lastly, he intended to attempt a large-scale Heavenʼs Shroud, a phenomenon where clouds themselves became reactive to his Divinity, turning the weather into an extension of his will. Yes, with that skill, he would be able to fully control the weather!

It will not be easy… However, if he wanted to deal with the Chaos Immortals, he had to do this much.

”Good plan… If you can protect the sky, then weʼll have nothing to worry about.” Orden said with a chuckle.

Ryzoir also nodded, though he knew that Haruo would probably require the assistance of the five other Angels on his side.

In any case, these two Dragons would not sit behind walls.

They planned to use the underground magma channels beneath the Shadow Domain to craft Infernal Breach Points…

It was quite complicated, but Vale had given them instructions to take advantage of the terrain as much as possible in order to fight against the Chaos Arts Practitioners.

If needed, they could use these areas that could erupt with molten rock to their benefit.

Ryzoir would layer these with Illusory Vents to confuse enemies about the true points of danger.

Then, there was also Immortal Magnus.

The Grand Arcanist who was capable of using 12 Arcane Arts…

His preparations were quieter.

”Iʼll deal with any of their formations… from within. Their Chaos Energy is powerful, but as long as we can stabilize our Divinity and Arcane Energy… I believe that we wonʼt be affected by their Chaos Trait…”

Magnus planned not only to mess with the enemy formation but also to strengthen their own…

Since he learned that they couldnʼt deal with Lisaʼs Blood Transformation, it means that their Chaos Energy had a certain limit. If it wasnʼt strong enough, then they might even be able to ignore their Spells!

He also intended to experiment with Spirit Mirrors. They were mirrors that could reflect not just light or magic, but even momentary glimpses of the enemyʼs Divinity, blinding them in the middle of battle.

It was not something new but simply a better version of his Spell that allowed him to capture Orden and Ryzoir when he summoned them from the Dragon Realm many years ago.

Cyper and his group of Time Manipulators were also given a task by Vale.

To be exact, their preparations were the most dangerous of all.

”Weʼll proceed with the Forbidden Ritual then… However, with the recent stunt that we pulled, theyʼd be prepared. So if itʼs possible, Iʼd like to collect more Immortal Blood to strengthen our ritual.”

”Thatʼs easy…” Magnus said.

”I donʼt mind.” Lisa also nodded, and everyone else followed.

Cyper only needed a small amount after all.

In the meantime, Constance would be the one working in the background as she needed to manage not just the cities but also the Academy.

By the end of the meeting, the Immortals left with confidence…

They learned that the Chaos Immortals had a weakness… Because of that, they would not hide.

They would not beg for aid.

And when the Chaos Immortals came…

They would find the Shadow Domain a place where every stone, every gust of wind, even every leaf itself was sharpened into a weapon.
