Chapter 927: Chapter 710: Liu Ye After a Long Absence

Shen Tang had been on the run for a few days, and honestly, she felt a bit confused, not knowing where to go.

She actually wanted to check out the Hand of Creation’s lair, but unfortunately, she couldn’t get there.

Moreover, after this incident, the Hand of Creation would undoubtedly be on higher alert, so it’s basically impossible to bluff her way through.

Besides, Shen Li mentioned when he returned from his last visit that the Hand of Creation is very mysterious. Even though he was invited, what he saw was just the tip of the iceberg.

The place where both parties talked from beginning to end was merely a venue, heavily guarded by troops around.

Without the permission of the Hand of Creation, outsiders simply can’t move freely, let alone understand the situation inside.

Even though Shen Li had visited the laboratory base, it was just one of the assets under the Hand of Creation.

Shen Li could sense that the Hand of Creation’s assets are definitely more than just this laboratory base; there must be other unknown secrets, with internal conditions far more complex than they imagined.

Shen Tang had to set aside this thought. After some consideration, she decided to check out Sky City.

Sky City is a mix of various factions, big and small, with the most criminals and exiles gathering there. These people are often very unstable and refuse to submit to anyone.

Thus, Sky City is actually the least willing to cooperate with the Hand of Creation.

In this light, that place seems relatively safe.

Besides, she also wanted to probe whether Lu Xiao was really there.

Having made up her mind, Shen Tang headed for Sky City.

On the way, she was still relentlessly hunted by various forces of the Ancient Clan.

But fortunately, she has had narrow escapes without real danger.

Shen Tang dealt with them all, successfully shaking off her pursuers, and after that she encountered no further pursuit.

Traveling alone was quite lonely, but fortunately, Little Snake was with her, so Shen Tang didn’t feel too solitary.

Another week passed in the blink of an eye, and the White Snake had grown significantly since it hatched.

At birth, it was thin and long, only as thick as a little finger. Now it’s about as thick as half an arm and almost as long as a person when lifted up, and scales have grown on its body.

Its silver-white scales shimmered with a faint purple light in the sunlight, particularly beautiful.

Shen Tang clicked her tongue in wonder: No wonder it ate so much at one meal; its growth was indeed fast, almost changing day by day!

Shen Tang was obviously delighted too; she had considered the worst-case scenario, fearing she would have to raise it from small to large, meaning by the time Xue Yinzhou grew up, she would be approaching fifty!

By then, even if he regained his memory, he might not want to acknowledge her.

Shen Tang certainly didn’t want to experience the tragedy of ”You were born when I was not, I was born when you were already old.”

Luckily, the current trend seemed decent enough; at this rate, the White Snake might grow to the size of an adult Ghost Snake in two or three months.

Its memory should gradually recover too.

Right now in the Ancient Clan territory, it was still the cold season. Although the further north she went, the hotter and more humid the weather became, overall it was still cold.

Especially at night, temperatures could drop below zero, making it even tougher.

Compared to adult Ghost Snakes, Little Snake was still too fragile and more susceptible to instinct, so when it was cold, it would go limp and not want to move, usually coiling around Shen Tang, sleeping like a quiet ornament.

Shen Tang wanted it to rest comfortably in space, but this creature seemed to have a skin hunger and insisted on clinging to her all the time, refusing to be driven away.

Now that Little Snake’s body had grown quite a bit, it could no longer coil around her arm. It preferred to wrap around her neck or waist and would burrow its little round head into her collar or sleeve to continue sleeping.

The sky gradually darkened.

This time, Shen Tang’s luck was good, as she directly encountered an Overlord Level mutant species along the way.

This was a delightful, nutritious meal for Little Snake!

Shen Tang killed the mutant species and let Little Snake eat it.

Snakes are typically infrequent eaters, but Little Snake was a special case needing a lot every day and easily getting hungry. Shen Tang had been practically hunting around for it these past few days, killing nearly all mutant species she passed by.

As it kept growing bigger, its power was slowly restoring.

Little White Snake released a faint black-purple mist all around its body, which drifted towards the prey and slowly devoured the corpse.

In visible terms, its body seemed to have grown yet again.

However, this time Little Snake didn’t finish the prey, leaving half behind.

Shen Tang thought it was full, but then saw Little Snake suddenly shaking its tail, climbing up her leg, raising its upper body to nuzzle against her face and surprisingly made a sound:

”You eat...”

”For you to eat, hungry...”
