Help! The Villainess Trapped in the Beast World's Drama!

Chapter 911: Chapter 704: Holy Land (3)

She simultaneously conjured Ice Blades, severing the roots attempting to entangle her feet. Xue Yinzhou quickly swept her to a safe spot.

However, the rumbling beneath her feet did not stop; the terrain seemed to still be shifting.

Four massive stone walls rose up on all sides, forming a surround as if trying to trap them inside.

”Not good, they’re altering the landscape!” Shen Tang gasped.

Xue Yinzhou grabbed her, flying up to higher ground.

Glancing back at where they had just stood, it had turned into a huge quicksand pit, swallowing everything there.

Countless vines once again lashed out wildly.

Shen Tang alone could hardly handle it.

Xue Yinzhou’s palm surged with Black Fog, devouring the vines attempting to wrap around them, and dissolving the airborne pollen and spores.

Frequent use of superpowers made his face appear somewhat pale among the thick fog, though his gaze remained icy and sharp.

”This consumption is too much; we must find the source or break out!”

Shen Tang’s face was also slightly pale, her superpower rapidly depleting, making her breath quicken and her figure sway slightly.

An attack sneaked from behind her; Xue Yinzhou instantly struck it down, supporting her waist, while he surveyed the swirling mist and plants around them, a glint of cold wrath flashing in his eyes.

Directly unleashing a large-scale Devouring Power might clear an area, but the commotion would be too big, possibly attracting even more troublesome entities.

He hesitated.

Ahead, the massive vines suddenly twisted and transformed into over a dozen figures, emerging from the mist.

They resembled Beastmen but had green long hair, eyes of pure dark green, hair strands like living fine vines moving without wind in the air, fingertips sharp and glowing faintly.

They were from the Parasite Clan!

Leading them was a tall, lean man, his eyes coldly locking onto Shen Tang and Xue Yinzhou.

”Intruders, kill without mercy.” he said coldly.

Before his words faded, these Parasite Clan members simultaneously launched attacks.

Enhanced Poison Vine sprang from the ground, trees shot out dense wooden spikes, all aiming at the two, leaving no room for survival.

And they themselves flitted like phantoms among the plants, launching cunning physical assaults, coordinated seamlessly.

Two fists cannot defeat four hands, especially since this was originally the territory of the Parasite Clan.

In their own domain, the Parasite Clan’s strength would be greatly amplified, everything around being their weapons, this place was simply the most advantageous battlefield for them.

In contrast, Shen Tang and Xue Yinzhou, newcomers, were constrained everywhere, their movement and strength significantly reduced.

Even Shen Tang’s forte, spiritual power, was hugely confined within this eerie mist, difficult to keenly sense the opponent’s attacks.

Whoosh—

A cunning wooden spike brushed past Shen Tang’s thigh, slicing open a bloody gash, instantly bringing a numbing sensation around the wound.

”Uh...” Shen Tang gritted her teeth, enduring the pain and retreating, Xue Yinzhou immediately shielded her in his embrace, worry etched on his face.

”I’m okay.” Shen Tang drank a potion, using her Healing Ability to quickly treat the wound, rejoining the battle.

She was gradually getting the hang of fighting these Parasite Clan members, taking the opportunity to eliminate one.

Xue Yinzhou also took down two.

Together they vanquished a few more.

But this completely infuriated the remaining Parasite Clan members.

The leader shrieked, more vines surged from the forest depths, their attacks becoming increasingly frenzied, determined to kill these audacious foreign invaders.

Xue Yinzhou continuously employed Devouring Power, his handsome face growing paler, cold sweat seeping from his forehead, his aura wavering slightly.

Worry surged in Shen Tang’s heart.

They could not continue like this.

His body could not withstand such expenditure.

”We can’t hold on anymore, use that!” Shen Tang decided swiftly, supporting herself with Ice Walls and Ground Spikes while quickly retrieving two prepared puppets from her Space.

These two Advanced Puppets were disguised in their likeness, imbued with their aura.

At this critical juncture, they were enough to deceive.

”Go!”

Without needing words, the two understood each other perfectly.

Xue Yinzhou forcibly tore open a gap in front with Black Fog, holding Shen Tang as they broke through sideways.

After breaking through the encirclement by a segment, Shen Tang quickly pulled out two Concealing Talismans from Space and affixed them to herself, throwing the two puppets backward.

”Go!” Upon landing, the puppets began to stagger and run according to the preset program.

Simultaneously, Shen Tang tugged Xue Yinzhou, concealing themselves in Space.

Almost at the same moment that they hid, the pursuing Parasite Clan members arrived.

Seeing the puppets running, they chased after them without hesitation.

”Chase! Don’t let them get away!”

”Kill these invaders! The Mother Tree ceremony is imminent, we cannot afford any mistakes now!”

The leading Parasite Clan member ordered sharply, leading his subordinates rapidly toward the direction of the puppets.

After they dispatched the puppets and searched the surroundings, ensuring there were no omissions, they left.

The surrounding white fog also gradually dissipated.

Only then did they emerge from Space.

Xue Yinzhou had some injuries too; Shen Tang treated him.

Because of the use of power, the Tumor Gu within his body started siphoning Life Force again, Shen Tang reinforced the seal for him.

”Feeling better now?” Shen Tang gently caressed his pale face, asking with concern.

Xue Yinzhou shook his head, ”I’m fine. Thanks to your prepared backup plan.”

”One cannot fight an unprepared battle.” Shen Tang smiled, still speaking cautiously, ”I suspect the Parasite Clan can communicate with plants, meaning this place is riddled with their spies. It’s possible they’ll discover us soon, we must act quickly, get what we need.”

Hearing her say this, Xue Yinzhou knew she possibly had leads, ”You know where the Mother Tree is?”

Shen Tang’s lips curled slightly, ”Didn’t you hear them mention ’Holy Land ceremony’ before leaving? It seems they’ll be holding a ceremony for the Mother Tree... So their hurried departure must be to the Holy Land.”

”I guess the Mother Tree is within the Holy Land.”

”When they left, I secretly left a spiritual power mark on them, roughly able to gauge the direction of the Holy Land.”

”Let’s cautiously follow them!”

To avoid detection, Shen Tang also made preparations beforehand, holding two green Crystal Cores in her hands.

These were extracted from the Parasite Clan members they dealt with earlier.

Using the aura of these Crystal Cores for disguise, as long as they don’t get too close, it should be enough to deceive them!
