Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures

Slughorn cautiously took a small sip of the Metamorph Potion and instantly turned into Evan.

His robes suddenly became too big and slipped off, and his entire body shrank rapidly, and an “Evan” appeared.

In disbelief, Slughorn touched his own body. Before the stunned expression on his face had even faded, he quickly transformed back, returning to his original form. The whole process was like a balloon being deflated and then rapidly reinflated.

“Wonderful, truly wonderful!” he praised Evan’s Polyjuice Potion. “How did you do it?”

“I used boomslang saliva and ordinary python skin instead of boomslang skin, professor. This weakened the potency of the Polyjuice Potion, but the brewing time was also shortened,” said Evan. “This version is more suited for entertainment purposes.”

“A very genius idea, m’boy. Although this Polyjuice Potion can’t really be used for concealment, as you said, it’s perfect for fun. The key is the changes you made to the formula of the Polyjuice Potion. This is what surprised me the most,” said Slughorn admiringly. “Potion formulas are constantly improved through repeated exploration. Of course, the premise is a genius brain and excellent potion genes. This is what makes you and Harry different from others. If I’m not mistaken, you two will become Potion Masters in the future, definitely…”

He praised Evan and Harry, while Ernie and Malfoy next to him looked resentful.

They scowled at the paste-like substance congealing in their cauldrons. Slughorn didn’t even glance at them.

All they got from him was a look full of disdain. As for feedback or compliments, they weren’t even worth hoping for.

When the bell rang, both Ernie and Malfoy left at once.

“Professor!” Taking advantage of the harmonious and pleasant atmosphere, Evan quickly said, “We would like to invite you…”

Before he finished speaking, Slughorn glanced over his shoulder and saw that the room was empty but for himself, Evan and Harry. He hurried away as fast as he could, even though Evan called him from behind, he didn’t even turn his head and pretended not to hear.

All that praise, all that pleasantness from earlier seemed to mean nothing at all.

Slughorn’s reaction was as if he hadn’t been the one praising them just moments ago — his change in attitude was really lightning fast!

“Well, looks like we really do need a bit of luck,” said Evan. “We can’t go on like this, Harry, we need to use Felix Felicis.”

“Yeah.” Looking at Slughorn’s receding back, Harry nodded in agreement and carefully took out the small bottle he treasured from his arm, “I don’t reckon I’ll need all of it, not twelve hours’ worth, it can’t take all night. … I’ll just take a mouthful. Two or three hours should do it!”

“More than enough,” said Evan, estimating the timing. “By then, Aragog’s funeral should be over, and if we can convince him with the Acromantula’s corpse as planned, we can get that memory.”

“I hope so!” said Harry, taking a carefully measured gulp.

“What does it feel like?” Evan asked.

Harry did not answer for a moment. Then, slowly but surely, an exhilarating sense of infinite opportunity stole through him; he felt as though he could have done anything, anything at all… and getting the memory from Slughorn seemed suddenly not only possible, but positively easy. …

“Excellent, really excellent,” he said with a smile. “It’s hard to describe… I’ve never felt like this before.”

“Oh?!” Evan looked at the suddenly confident and oddly elated Harry with interest.

From Harry, he could clearly sense the aura of luck.

Yes, luck.

Such an illusory thing, Evan now clearly felt it from Harry.

The effect of Felix Felicis seemed to be really powerful. Maybe he should consider carrying a bottle of Liquid Luck with him, which would always be useful. ṘΆＮŎ₿Εṥ

“So what should we do now?” he asked.

“Well, let’s go back to the common room first,” Harry thought for a moment and said.

“Back to the common room? Shouldn’t we go after Slughorn and tell him about the funeral?”

“No, let’s go back to the common room to get the Invisibility Cloak first, and wait for Hermione and Ron to see how they did on the test,” said Harry. “I’ve got a good feeling about going to Hagrid’s after dinner.”

He didn’t know why exactly, but he just felt it was the right move.

Since Harry said so, Evan would naturally not object. With the help of Felix Felicis, Harry was now extremely sensitive to good things.

His luck was maxed out, and no matter what he did, it would be the right move, and everything would turn out in his favor.

And sure enough, when Evan followed Harry back to the Gryffindor common room, they walked in just in time to catch Ginny and Dean having an argument. Ever since the last match, their relationship had been falling apart, but Dean had been hanging on, unwilling to let go.

But looking at the way they were arguing, it was definitely the end this time.

Harry was secretly in love with Ginny, so he was naturally happy to see this scene, even if it wasn’t something they’d planned.

Seeing Ginny and Dean break up completely, Harry’s pleasure was obviously increasing. This was the good luck effect of Felicis Felix…

They set off immediately without getting the Invisibility Cloak because Harry said he would wait until dusk.

During this time, Evan, curious to test how well Felix Felicis really worked, played a few rounds of wizard cards with Harry.

Harry always drew good cards and had amazing luck.

No, not just good. It was absurdly good. He was practically possessed by the god of luck.

A while later, Hermione and Ron returned, having just finished their Apparition Test.

As expected, Hermione had passed the test successfully.

She performed perfectly. From now on, she could legally use Apparition.

Ron was a little morose. He failed and needed to take the test again because the examiner just spotted that he’d left half an eyebrow behind.

Their attention quickly shifted from the test to Harry. The two were surprised that Harry had taken Felix Felicis. What was even more surprising was that Harry said that they would go directly to Hagrid’s for the funeral, not to invite Slughorn, but to go directly. They couldn’t figure out why.

After dinner, Evan, Harry, and Elaine, who insisted on going to see the Acromantula’s corpse, walked out of the castle.

In the original plan, they needed to use the Invisibility Cloak so that no one could see them sneaking out of the castle at this time, but in fact, it was not necessary. With the help of the Liquid Luck, the moment Harry stepped out of the Great Hall, the usually busy entrance hall was suddenly deserted. They followed him and didn’t encounter a single person along the way.

Harry was the luckiest person in Hogwarts tonight, and following him was absolutely the right choice.
