Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures

The content on the parchment was simple, just a notice.

Dumbledore asked Evan and Harry to come to his office at eight o’clock this Saturday evening, and he planned to start giving them private lessons.

Oh, and the password to enter the office was Acid Pops.

“Ha! That’s great. Dumbledore scheduled the lesson for Saturday night,” said Harry happily. “Snape’s not going to be pleased. … I won’t be able to do his detention!”

Snape would certainly not be pleased, but it would be unlikely for Harry to get away with this detention.

Just as Evan expected, by the time they sat down for dinner that evening, what had happened in Defense Against the Dark Arts class had spread throughout the school. The students were buzzing with mixed opinions, but they all shared one thought: Harry was bold to confront Snape so openly.

Such a thing had never happened at school before, and no one had dared to even think of it.

People kept coming over to pat Harry on the shoulder and comment on this matter, as if Christmas had come early.

Ron also kept saying that what Harry had done was great, but it was a pity that he had not been there and had not seen the whole process.

Perhaps she had already said her piece that afternoon; Hermione, watching the lively scene, frowned slightly but said nothing and did not try to stop them.

She and Evan left the noisy common room and went to the quiet library.

Because the school had just started, there was no one else in the library except the two of them.

This term, the workload was much heavier than before, requiring extensive after-class reading of various magic books. Evan also needed to find information about Ravenclaw’s life, ideally pinpointing exact dates and times. The Time-Turner had limited power, so he had to ensure that when he returned to the past, Ravenclaw herself would be at the school.

After founding Hogwarts, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Slytherin did not always stay in the school to teach students. From the existing historical data, only Hufflepuff was able to stay in the school regularly, and the other three often went out for adventures or disappeared for periods.

Slytherin was the most extreme; he eventually left Hogwarts permanently.

The commonly known story was that he disagreed with the other three Founders, and the disagreements became increasingly serious until he finally left, but this was just a theory. It was also possible that he’d encountered an accident on one of his adventures…

Around eight o’clock, Elaine, who was tired of playing in the common room, went to the library to find them.

She told them a celebration was underway in the common room.

The celebration had spontaneously erupted, sparked by Harry’s brave act against Snape that afternoon.

Everyone started celebrating with some noise, and Ron, Dean and Seamus brought plenty of food from the kitchen.

Ever since Evan, Harry, and Ron arrived at school in a flying car, a welcome celebration on the first night back had become a tradition of Gryffindor House. Fred and George organized it each year, but since they graduated last term, there hadn’t been anything particularly worth celebrating this year’s start.

So, with the delay of one day, everyone was watching and waiting.

Then, when something minor happened today, a celebration immediately began…

Elaine came over to ask if they wanted to return, but Hermione convinced her to stay and asked Evan to haul out all the study materials they’d used last term to review for their O.W.L.s, suggesting Elaine start preparing for her revision now.

Elaine was very capable, but poor in theory and didn’t understand a lot of basic knowledge. If she didn’t start studying hard, her O.W.L.s results were sure to be disastrous.

The stack of study materials formed two tall piles, each almost as high as Elaine herself. Judging by her expression, she was ready to flee, but Hermione didn’t give her the chance…

When the three of them returned around half past ten, the revelry was still going on in the Gryffindor common room.

These guys seemed to have endless energy from who knew where.

When Evan entered, someone even shoved a butterbeer into his hand, and the room burst into cheers once again.

Finally, they went back to bed after making so much noise until midnight. The result of having too much fun at night was that everyone felt groggy the next morning.

“Ah, I’m so sleepy. Wish I could rest this morning…”

“You should have expected this,” said Hermione. “We have a welcome celebration every year, and only our House does this.”

“This is Gryffindor’s tradition, something the other Houses envy us for. I heard that Slytherin never holds any celebrations,” said Ron, yawning. “Imagine being in a creepy, dark dungeon all the time with nothing fun to look forward to — it’d drive anyone mad. No wonder they’re all so weird.”

At this time, they were beating down the familiar path to the dungeon classroom that had, for so long, been Snape’s and was now Professor Slughorn’s classroom.

Unlike Snape, he took the initiative to stand in the corridor to greet the students who came to attend his N.E.W.T. class.

Slughorn, with his big belly and his great walrus mustache curved above his beaming mouth, seemed particularly enthusiastic when he greeted Evan, Harry and others.

The dungeon classroom had also changed drastically. It was no longer cold and gloomy, and it no longer emitted the unpleasant smell of potions. Instead, it was filled with pinkish vapors and odd sweet smells. At the front of the classroom were several gold-colored cauldrons on the teacher’s desk, each bubbling away.

All the students who walked into the classroom looked there curiously.

Evan saw that the cauldron on the far left contained the Polyjuice Potion, which he was already familiar with.

But what kind of potion was in the cauldron in the middle, with pink steam coming out?

He sniffed hard. What was that scent?

Evan suddenly felt a sense of pleasure in his body. He thought of the freshly made treacle tart, the scent of flowers. He found that he was breathing very slowly and deeply and that the potion’s fumes seemed to be filling him up like drink. A great contentment stole over him.

From head to toe, Evan experienced a strange sensation.

This made him snap back to alertness, and he looked up to see Harry and Ron also staring at the potion, grinning lazily.

It suddenly occurred to Evan that Slughorn seemed to have prepared a powerful love potion for them.

Yes, it was definitely a powerful love potion, a particularly perfect one. Nothing else would emit pink steam or have such an intense effect on people.

Just one drop of this magical potion could make someone fall in love with you uncontrollably and do anything for you. It worked on both men and women.

The powerful love potion was an advanced and challenging potion, achievable only by a true Potions Master.

Although Evan had never brewed it, he had seen descriptions of this potion many times in books…
