Rebirth of the Godly Prodigal

The reporters outside waited till the cows came home. But Hong Dali just threw away the card that he just flipped!

Tang Muxin: “…” Ling Xiaoyi: “…” Lackeys: “…”

Zhang Songting was a reporter from the Tianjing Military Channel! Tianjing Military Channel! Asking him to cover the interview for the performance of this mechanical armor was the most appropriate! But his card was thrown away just like that!

Ling Xiaoyi asked, “Young Master, next one, then?”

“Next!” He continued flipping. “Eh? Tong Xueping?” Hong Dali groaned. “This one, then. The name looks not bad…”

Ling Xiaoyi: “This… this…”

“What’s wrong?” Hong Dali asked curiously. “What’s wrong with this reporter?”

“There’s nothing wrong, but…” Ling Xiaoyi was sweating all over. “This seems like the reporter for Tianjing Children’s Channel…”

Tang Muxin: “…” Lackeys: “…”

Of course, Big Bro Dali said it was not an issue, there was nothing more to say. “It’s her, then. No problem, no problem.” He looked around and curiously said, “Aye, what kind of expressions are those…”

“Sister Xiaoyi, let’s go play badminton!” Tang Muxin pulled Ling Xiaoyi and left. “If we stay here we will die of anger!”

…

Outside the laboratory.

The reporters waited in anticipation. Everyone was waiting to see whose card would be flipped.

Among them, the one that everyone paid most attention to was naturally Zhang Songting of the Tianjing Military Channel. Many people were busy boot-licking, hoping to get information from him after his interview. Even a bit of information was good!”

One of the reporters: “Big Bro Zhang, among us, you have the highest chance of interviewing Young Master. You are the professional reporter for Heavenly State’s largest Tianjing Military Channel. Amateurs like us can’t do much. I think they are sure to ask you in for an interview!”

Another reporter: “That’s right. Big Bro Zhang, you are the professional. After the interview, you must share some information with us. Otherwise, we will have to leave this place empty-handed!”

Donning a necktie with a crew cut, Zhang Songting seemed modest. In actual fact, he was trying his best to appear calm. He confidently said, “Very well. We are all good friends. If I get any latest news, I will be sure to share it with everyone. Of course, it’s possible that Young Master won’t flip my card. I can only hope everyone can take care of each other!”

“How is that possible.” Another report smiled and said, “Big Bro Zhang is a professional. This interview must be conducted by a professional. What information could we possibly get out of the information? A few amateurs like us asking questions, if it goes up on TV, we’ll become a laughing stock! That would be so embarrassing.”

“Yes, yes. The people inside are not idiots. They are sure to find a professional!””Yes, Big Bro Zhang, we can only depend on you!”

“Take it easy.” Zhang Songting raised his eyebrows. He felt like a General who had returned triumphantly, prepared to accept the Emperor’s reward. He laughed. “Sure, sure. If I go in, I will remember everyone’s words!”

At that moment, a delicate girl looking to be in her twenties approached, perturbed. She said softly, “Big Bro Zhang, when you finish your interview, can I also get some information from you? Else, I have nothing to submit when I return…”

“Ah, no problem.” Zhang Songting casually agreed. He then sized up the girl and asked, “Which company are you from?”

Zhang Songting would not miss this opportunity to strike up an acquaintance. No matter what, everyone was working in the same circle and would often see each other. No one could guarantee that there wouldn’t come a day where they needed to depend on each other.

But this girl looked very young and naive, clearly not an experienced person in the circle.

Zhang Songting had already made up his mind. After interviewing the Young Master, he would select a few reporters from major companies to share the information with. As for those from small companies, he would just send them away with some general information.

Hence, his question was deeper than it sounded. If this young lady was not from a major company, he would just send her away.

“I… I am…” The young lady looked around and blushed with embarrassment. “I’m an intern reporter from Tianjing Children’s Channel. My name is Tong Xueping…”

When she finished speaking, her face was as red as an apple.

Hearing that, everyone was shocked.

“Tian… Tianjing Children’s Channel?!” Zhang Songting was tongue-tied. “That… Miss Tong, we are conducting proper military-related interviews. Look around you, everyone is from military channels from major media companies. Young Master’s Mechanical Holy Garment has weapons and it’s rather powerful. Children’s channel…”

Others also echoed from the side. “That’s right, we are all classified military or military forum reporters. Children’s channel… doesn’t seem too appropriate? Teaching children how to use weapons on TV?”

“I… I have no choice, either!” Tong Xueping was on the verge of crying. “I saw that many reporters came today; hence, I came to take a look too. I didn’t know that the interview was related to military equipment. I, I am still just an intern…”

Great. A young lady doing her internship. And a reporter from Tianjing Children’s Channel. This was really strange!

Before anyone could say anything else, the laboratory door suddenly opened!

It was not the familiar Young Master’s number one lackey Ling Xiaoyi, but a robot!

“Ladies and gentlemen,” Running Dog slowly emerged and greeted everyone, even with a Dongbei accent. “Welcome to Young Master’s Photon Force Laboratory. I am Young Master’s number two assistant, Running Dog. Let me serve everyone.”

This… what is this?! It can even pass messages?!

Everyone stared at the robot with only one arm in bewilderment. Soon after, they came back to their senses and the camera shutters started to take pictures. “Quick look! Smart robot! Young Master’s technology has already reached this standard?!” “Yes, yes. This is too amazing! He even speaks Mandarin 1! Although the accent sounds a little weird…”

Everyone’s attention was on Running Dog. Zhang Songting stepped up and asked Running Dog, “Your name is Running Dog? Smart robot? The legendary Artificial Intelligence?”

“You can say that.” Running Dog turned around. The camera on its head scanned Zhang Songting and replied, “Hello, Mister. It’s my pleasure to serve you.”

Everyone got curious. Zhang Songting asked, “Running Dog ah, what can you do?”

This was big news, what other good things did Young Master hide in his Photon Force Laboratory?!

Running Dog replied matter-of-factly, “I can squander. Mister, do you have other questions?”

The smart robot belonging to Young Master can even squander!

Everyone laughed. Zhang Songting asked again, “Running Dog, how do you squander?”

“For example, Young Master did not flip your card this time.” Running Dog’s tone was full of regret. “I am very sorry about that, Mister.”

When it said that, Zhang Songting’s expression changed immediately!

“Didn’t choose me? Didn’t choose me?!” Zhang Songting anxiously said, “That can’t be. If Young Master didn’t choose me, who did he choose?”

“Is Madam Tong Xueping here?” Running Dog put out his mechanical arm which held a card. “Young Master wants to choose Madam Tong Xueping. As for those that did not get selected, I am very sorry.”

“Young Master chose me?!” Tong Xueping’s jaw dropped. “Really, me?”

“Tong… Tong Xueping?!” Not only was Tong Xueping shocked, but everyone was also shocked. They said in unison, “Young Lord chose a reporter from Tianjing Children’s Channel to interview him?!” “My god, fake. This must be fake!” “That’s right, that’s right, on what basis did Young Master select his interviewer?!”

“No! This must be wrong. There must be a trick somewhere!” Zhang Songting shouted, “It’s okay if Young Master did not select me. But why did he select someone who doesn’t know anything! She’s a reporter from Tianjing Children’s Channel, what can she get out of the interview? Teaching children how to fight with weapons?!”

“I’m sorry, Minster. I don’t have the details.” Running Dog looked at him again and helplessly said, “I am very sorry that you did not get selected—Oh, this is simply too bad! I like it!”

Zhang Songting: “…”

Ahhhhhhhhh, why are Young Master’s henchmen all so unusual! Not only are his lackeys unusual, but even his smart robots are also unusual!

“Madam Tong Xueping, please follow me.” Running Dog turned around and led the way while saying, “Keep a distance from me. Otherwise, you will get electrocuted by my security system.”

Hearing that, the reporters who were about to move suddenly stood still—there’s a security system? This place is a dragon’s pool and tiger’s den 1!

“O… okay…” Tong Xueping shivered and hurriedly followed it in.

As they left, the reporters exploded!

“Young Master chose a reporter from Tianjing Children’s Channel!” “Oh my god, there’s no hope in our mission this time!” “What do we do? Tianjing Children’s Channel, and an intern! What kind of questions could she ask?!” “That’s right, what can we do now?!”

Zhang Songting stood frozen for a while before finally saying, “I hate squandering!”

In the raws, the robot speaks English, but we switched it to Mandarin in the translation.
