Rebirth of the Godly Prodigal

Lucifer had always thought that SSS was the highest rating. But now, he realized that he was very, very wrong. Because when he was thinking about this issue, he was thinking from the perspective of a human.

But obviously, Hong Dali had exceeded the boundaries of the human race, so he shouldn’t be judged from a human’s perspective.

Because for Hong Dali’s rating, it was clearly stated the following—

“Hong Dali’s overall rating: ∞.” Below that was a sentence of small words: “You will never know where his luck will have an effect on, this is a problem that can’t be explained by science.”

Infinite!

Lin Chuyin’s overall rating was SS, Zerg Queen Zhang Yi’s overall rating was SSS, and these two could already be considered inhuman. But Hong Dali’s overall rating was actually infinite! That means that his importance to the country was also infinite!

Lucifer was shocked and alarmed. He muttered, “Looks like this fellow’s luck is much stronger than I thought!” He re-read this information again and lastly concluded. “My opponent is an amusing idiot with invincible luck!?”

After thinking about it for a while, Lucifer made another conclusion. “OK, overall speaking, this is still quite interesting. Even I am curious as to what this amusing idiot Hong Dali will come up with next. Yup, then let’s go see where did my curse land now.”

Lucifer instantly carried on reading the rest of Hong Dali’s details and quickly found what he was looking for.

“Recently, the Angel of Misfortune Vincent Iverson have four curses related to Hong Dali.”

“One, Wen Bin, died from a car accident. Wen Bin, an ordinary member of the organization Sand Eagle, close-range shooting rating A+, nickname unknown.”

“Two, Jaban State non-ordinary citizen, crushed to death by a falling flower-pot, inferred to be a ninja from the Toyoda Conglomerate.”

“Three, Jaban State sniper, fall into a sewer and drowned (This is really unfortunate news), inferred to be a ninja from the Toyoda Conglomerate.”

“Four, Jaban State ninja assassin, because of a serious of misfortunes, ended up in Tianjing City’s jail for felons, inferred to be a ninja from the Toyoda Conglomerate.”

“Five, currently unsure of what reactions there is yet, further observations needed.”

After seeing these pieces of information, Lucifer touched his chin and muttered, “Yup, the first one died after I posted on Weibo saying that I wanted Hong Dali to be involved in a car accident. The second one when I said the disaster falls from the sky and drops into the abyss. The third is when I wanted Hong Dali to suffer for a bit. The fifth, I asked him to have a pain in his testicles. Here, the car accident, disaster from the sky, drop into the abyss, and suffer for a bit have all been fulfilled. Then, the pain in the testicles probably will not reflect on Hong Dali, too. But this isn’t right, for the disaster falling from the sky, I also added for the disaster to be more severe. This didn’t have any effect on Hong Dali as well?”

Thinking up to this point, Lucifer continued to look at more information and quickly found one information that was different from the rest.

“Under Tianjing Mountain, found lots of wood fossils, one metal meteorite, and a large piece of land grown with Dali beans that he liked to eat.”

“Dali beans?” Lucifer muttered this phrase for a bit and suddenly laughed. “It appeared together with the metal meteorite. Hong Dali is probably the one who discovered them, right? Under Tianjing Mountain and discovered by Hong Dali, this means that my curse did work, Hong Dali did fall into the abyss, just that he didn’t die from it. Yup, this guy’s luck is indeed not bad.”

Now that the previous few curses were all discovered, only one was left. Lucifer thought for a while, softly laughed, and said, “If Hong Dali can transfer the four previous curses to his enemies, then it should be the same for the last one. That means…”

As he said so, he closed the link to Heavenly State’s confidential file and hacked into Jaban State’s confidential file.

Very quickly, Lucifer found a piece of recent news related to Toyoda Conglomerate—

“Recently, the Young Master of Toyoda Conglomerate, Ko Gohon, because of some special reason, caused his penis to be broken…”

Upon seeing this information, Lucifer instantly laughed. “Haha, looks like I am right. This Ko Gohon is indeed quite pitiful. Oh my, even I am a little embarrassed…”

Since he already knew the whole story, Lucifer touched his chin and thought. “From the current looks of things, my curse loses to Hong Dali’s super-luck. His luck is to the extent where he can transfer disasters to others; my curses were all transferred to his enemies. But if the curse if stronger, then it may be that he will have to bear them himself. But even when he falls into the cave, he could still find so many good stuff—looks like there are other factors too. Using words from the Heavenly State, this is the blessing of surviving a disaster? Looks like this Hong Dali is really quite interesting. He has infinite possibilities.”

“Since this is the case, why don’t I do something interesting and see how it goes.”

Since he had already decided on what to do, Lucifer’s mood became quite good.

He felt that he had become an amusing idiot himself too, same as Hong Dali. Actually, being an amusing idiot sometimes wasn’t a bad thing, at least he felt quite happy.

“Hm, how shall I play on next?” Lucifer leaned on the chair and looked at the monitor. “Very obviously, normal small curses will only reflect on Hong Dali’s enemies. Since he has so many enemies, why don’t I make an ‘encyclopedia for accidental deaths’? This is a good idea, I am also interested in seeing how people can die from accidentals. I can collect the stories, and if I publish them into a book, I will probably not have to worry about money for the rest of my life…”

What were the many ways that a person could die? This was a very interesting question.

The Angel of Misfortune had the terrifying ability to curse people and was also a hacker geek with an intelligence quotient of 180. But these weren’t important.

If we look beyond the surface, he was actually just another amusing idiot who loved gaming…

Therefore, when he collided with Hong Dali, his amusing idiot attribute was completed brought out—the phrase of being influenced by who one hang out with was probably used to describe people like him…

“Yup, let’s see what Hong Dali is doing now.” Lucifer laughed and hacked into the surveillance system of Chenhui Building again. It wasn’t an overstatement to say that all systems that were connected to the Internet were defenseless in front of him, he could enter into them whenever he wanted to.

He regained the images of the fourth floor Photon Force Laboratory where Hong Dali was in. Currently, Hong Dali was commanding Running Dog to bring him the ice-cream he wanted.

“This mechanical arm is quite interesting.” Lucifer’s eyes stared intently at the monitor, laughing as he watched on. “Oh my, looks like he failed! Yup, this must be a computer program? Voice-controlled robot? This looks like quite an advanced technology. Let me look at the program, there must be something wrong with the code for it to keep failing…”

As he said so, he entered Lin Chuyin’s computer.

Lin Chuyin, who was meticulously tuning the program, suddenly “Hmmed,” looked left and right, then made a new text file and wrote: “Lucifer?”

Strangely speaking, after she wrote that, another line of small words appeared below hers. “Hehe, it’s me. I didn’t expect you to realize it so quickly.”

“Oh, you have something to find me for?” Lin Chuyin spoke to everyone in such an insipid manner, so naturally, it was the same towards Lucifer too.

“Heh, baby, looks like you are living quite well recently? Hong Dali took great care of you?” Lucifer asked.

“Yes, I don’t have any negative feelings towards him.” Lin Chuyin answered.

Lucifer: “OH! My heart is so sad. Dear, don’t you love me anymore? You really don’t love me anymore? OH! My dear!”

Lin Chuyin: “If you have a business here, say it. I’m very busy. Dali’s voice-control system is already at the completion stage now.”

Lucifer: “OK, OK. I knew it, only this amusing idiot Hong Dali can hang around with you and still be alive and kicking.”

Lin Chuyin: “If you curse him, I will kill you.”

Lucifer: “Don’t be so nervous, my curse has no effect on this amusing idiot. Therefore, I felt that I have become an amusing idiot too—of course, you should know since I came to find you, it isn’t to discuss something so boring such as who is the amusing idiot. In fact, being an amusing idiot is not bad too, at least I feel quite happy now—aren’t you concerned about why I came to find you?”

Lin Chuyin: “I’m only concerned whether Dali is in danger or not and whether my research will succeed.”

Lucifer: “Aren’t you afraid that I will be jealous?”

Lin Chuyin: “What is being jealous like?”

Lucifer: “…”

Lucifer: “OK, I forgot about this issue. Yup, to put it simply, in this part of your code, there’s one important instruction that you wrote wrongly in reverse.” After he wrote this, he added a very complicated instruction behind. This instruction was an instruction very commonly used in computer programing, but the problem was that he made a few minor adjustments to it.

Lin Chuyin: “You mean to say that Running Dog’s calculation in reacting to orders should be even more accurate? Accurate to the fourth decimal place?”

Lucifer: “Of course. A human’s reaction and instinct are very powerful. For example, you can easily find a strand of hair that is different in color from the rest. But robots can’t do that. They need calculation accurate to the fourth or even sixth decimal place to do such a simple thing and not make any errors.”

Lin Chuyin: “Oh, OK. I shall try it.”

Lucifer: “OK, I know that your time now is only used to do research and to hang around with that amusing idiot Hong Dali. Yup, I shall be leaving now. Remember to keep this a secret. Oh right, Running Dog?”

Lin Chuyin: “Oh, Running Dog is the name Hong Dali gave to this system.”

Lucifer: “OK, this is really a good name…”

At this moment, Hong Dali asked from the side, “Chuyin, what are you doing now? I feel that Running Dog is going to be completed very soon!”
