The investment was close to 20 million but the box office earnings from its debut were only 1.5 million. Such a result had practically proved that the investments in this movie had gone down the drain.

Upon hearing James’ account, the others in the conference room began to smile, and someone said, “Haha, not bad. If we calculate according to this ratio, the maximum box office of this ‘Pugilistic World’ will only be around 7 to 8 million.”

Another person said, “Heh heh, investing close to 20 million in ‘Pugilistic World,’ yet the box office earnings for its debut are only 1.5 million. Looks like that Hong Dali must be having a really pained expression now.”

“It has to be the case, haha!” James roared with laughter. “Going against Hollywood, what did I say? Though he might be lucky, the box office does not depend on luck!”

“Yes,” The third person smiled. “We’ll see whether Heavenly State loans us that alligator snapping turtle this time!”

After laughing for a while more, James said fiercely, “This time, we have fought a brilliant battle! There’s still another movie going to be screened soon, by then, we’ll look at the results again! Don’t hurry to leave tonight, let’s go and properly celebrate!”

“OK!”

…

8:00 PM, Hollywood horror film “Moment of Screaming” officially screened in Heavenly State, sweeping 4.2 million of box office earnings.

At that time, the premiere box office earnings for “Pugilistic World” was only 1.4 million.

At 10:00 PM, all the top personnel of Hollywood set out together for an entirely wild and enjoyable gathering.

…

Just when the top personnel of Hollywood was having their celebration, on Heavenly State’s Xinhai Weibo, a Weibo post had currently risen to the first place of the rankings of hot topics, with the speed of leaves whirling in autumn.

The title was—”The Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre: Pugilistic World, a perfect Wuxia Blockbuster!”

…

The next day, at 8:00 AM, the movie box office earnings for the first day of screening had officially been totaled.

Air-Raid of the Trump Cards, debut box office earnings of 6.7 million.

Moment of Screaming, debut box office earnings of 5.2 million.

Meanwhile, the Wuxia blockbuster film “The Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre: Pugilistic World” with almost 20 million invested, had only a box office earning of 1.6 million.

…

While Hollywood was holding a party to celebrate their success, meanwhile, on Heavenly State’s Xinhai Weibo, Turkey Messenger, Sangle Search, and other big media websites, there were instead numerous positive reviews and praises to Pugilistic World.

On Turkey Software, families and friends conversed among one another—

“Have you watched ‘Pugilistic World’? What the heck, it was absolutely great!”

“What? You haven’t watched ‘Pugilistic World’? You’re outdated, dude. Hurry up and go watch it, or you’ll definitely regret it for life!”

“Nonsense, I’ve secretly watched pirated films for 10 years, but I plan to go to the cinema to support the original film! The storylines arranged by Young Master are just too awesome!”

“What the heck, I’ll go watch it too then—Hey, you’ve watched 10 years of pirated films, aren’t you scared of getting caught…”

“Damn you, keep it a secret for me. Anyway, from today onwards, I’ll support all the original works by Young Master!”

9:00 AM, an extremely strong gust of wind swept the entire Heavenly State film industry…

“The Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre: Pugilistic World” started to sweep all cinemas in the Heavenly State with the aura of the arrival of the lord.

Box office earnings started to catch up with rapid speed!

9:30 AM, “The Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre: Pugilistic World” nationwide box office earnings skyrocketed to 6.2 million.

“Air-Raid of the Trump Cards,” total box office earnings in Heavenly State, 6.8 million.

“Moment of Screaming,” total box office earnings in Heavenly State, 5.25 million.

At 12:30 PM, during the movie special, all cinemas in Heavenly State added a few more screenings of the movie at the last minute. Box office earnings of “The Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre: Pugilistic World” continued to increase and hit 11.5 million within a short two and a half hours.

At the same time, total nationwide box office earnings of “Air-Raid of the Trump Cards” in Heavenly State, 7.1 million.

“Moment of Screaming,” total nationwide box office earnings at 5.5 million.

At the movie special at 3:00 PM, all cinemas in Heavenly State canceled the movie screening timings of all foreign films screening at the same time. Amidst them were the two Hollywood blockbuster films, “Air-Raid of the Trump Cards” and “Moment of Screaming” with an obvious low turnout in audiences. All the movie specials changed to “Pugilistic World,” and there were endless queues of people lining up for tickets—the queue even extended outside of the main hall of the ticket office.

The nationwide box office of “The Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre: Pugilistic World” advanced by leaps and bounds, breaking the 14 million mark!

The entertainment business was overwhelmed with shock.

If a normal movie could reach the 14 million mark, that was already the limit.

But with “The Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre: Pugilistic World,” it was still steadily increasing!

16 million! 18 million!

Advancing by leaps and bounds!

19 million, 21 million!

Continuing to ascend.

The entire Heavenly State erupted!

At 5:00 PM, there were only 12 cinemas in Heavenly State screening “Air-Raid of the Trump Cards.” The total box office earnings were 7.15 million. “Moment of Screaming,” 18 cinemas were screening it, and the nationwide box office earnings was 5.55 million.

Meanwhile, “The Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre: Pugilistic World” which was screened at the same time still received an enthusiastic reception from the audience, and all its screenings were full, with box office earnings finishing at 24 million!

…

At 8:00 PM, Lao Deming held a press conference after “The Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre: Pugilistic World” premiere.

That could be said as the simplest and shortest press conference.

Because during the conference, Lao Deming only said two things.

The first, Penghui Films would be merging with Caiwei Entertainment, with Zhang Cai as the chairman and Lao Deming as the CEO.

The second, Young Master Hong Dali was planning to burn money in investing a huge amount of 50 million in the production of the first ever local CG animated movie, and it was called Holy Warriors of the Goddess.

Once these two pieces of news were released, they instantly got on the headlines and covers of all the newspapers, magazines and news websites.

“The Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre: Pugilistic World” continued to sweep the 12:00 AM slot box office with this momentum.

…

At midnight, calls for director Lin Hao to film a sequel to “Pugilistic World” started to appear on the internet. Many people also expressed their anticipation for Young Master’s brand new blockbuster Holy Warriors of the Goddess and said that they would definitely watch the original film after it started screening.

…

In the early afternoon on the third day, the local Heavenly State cinemas released the data. “The Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre: Pugilistic World” earned a box office earning of 1.6 million on the first day, then it increased over ten-fold on the second day, reaching a tremendous amount of 24 million, defeating all the other films that were screened at the same period. Hollywood blockbusters “Air-Raid of the Trump Cards” and “Moment of Screaming” came to a gloomy end, with the total box office earnings not even one-third of that of “Pugilistic World.” Moreover, they were removed from all cinemas. Hollywood had suffered a big loss.

This was not all. The box office earnings of “Pugilistic World” continued to shoot up, and more and more people came to watch the movie, with some even watching for the second, third or fourth time and still not getting enough of it.

Had it been in the past, the pirated version of the movie would have stealthily appeared online in at most three days. However, this time, once a pirated version appeared online, enthusiastic film lovers would instantly report it. That had helped the police in solving many cases of pirated video businesses, and they exceeded their KPIs.

In the afternoon, the keyword “Young Master” had instantly become first in search rankings on various search engines. There was even a special film lovers club that appeared, where they studied into every plot that Young Master had set up in the movie, every transition, as well as every sentence.

On the fourth day, the total box office earnings of “The Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre: Pugilistic World” shot past the 40 million mark. The entire film industry had already regarded Young Master Hong Dali as the best scriptwriter, and his fame had overshadowed all the renowned scriptwriters in the industry. Nobody dared to express the slightest disapproval about it.

On the fifth day, the total box office earnings broke the 50 million mark and swept all the video ranking charts in the film industry. Anything that was related to ranking had “Pugilistic World” at the top, and it had a huge gap of at least eight times more than the second place.

There was even a ranking chart to especially rank the lousiest films. The voting rate for “Pugilistic World” was first in place. Speaking of which, it was quite funny. There were just too many audiences of “Pugilistic World,” and even if one in a thousand people said that it wasn’t good, the number of votes was also far more than that of the second place. This situation became the new joke on the internet.

Many people asked once they saw each other, “Have you ‘dissed’ today?!”

That person who was asked would reply, “I’ve just promoted once, I’m preparing to diss it later! Our slogan is…”

The two people said in unison, “Dominate all the ranking charts!”

…

Just as “The Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre: Pugilistic World” was dominating all the ranking charts in Heavenly State’s film industry like a king, the fourth Round Table Conference in Merika, Hollywood, had commenced…
