After the Breakup, He Obtained the Krypton Gold Return Shenhao System

241: Chapter 241 You like it? It’s for you. There are quite a lot of these kinds of private chefs online now, each charging more than the last; bringing someone to your home to cook just a few dishes costs several thousand.

Most of those are just side gigs taken by regular chefs, and in reality, the taste isn’t much better than just going to a restaurant.

In fact, it’s considered decent if it’s just not worse than a restaurant.

The one Zhao Xiaoshuai hired is a high-end custom chef team that caters specifically to the wealthy, and the taste is indeed quite a bit better than the average five-star hotel.

As for the plating, it could practically be described as art, and it really does boost one’s appetite just a little bit.

The entire dining process was full of ceremony, easily satisfying the client’s needs in every aspect.

But as for the price, it was naturally more than ten times more expensive than those other private chefs.

Appetizers, starters, soup, palate cleansers, main courses, desserts... a whole process that took over an hour to complete.

”Ah, so delicious, so satisfying. But I’ve eaten two good meals in a row these past few days; I feel like I’m definitely going to gain several pounds.”

Zou Luyao once again reverted to that state from the last time she had a big meal, looking as if she were pregnant, leaning back in her chair and stroking her round, bulging belly with both hands.

”Huh, Yingxue, is it hot inside? Why are you walking barefoot on the floor?”

”Yeah, I got a bit warm from eating.”

Zhao Xiaoshuai calmly put on his slippers. ”After eating, we should walk around a bit. There are entertainment facilities downstairs; shall we go play for a bit?”

Zou Luyao declined heartlessly, ”I’ll pass. I’m too full; I want to go back to my room to rest for a while. Plus, I have a few packages arriving soon; just thinking about it makes me a little excited.”

”Then I’ll accompany Brother for a walk.”

Although she didn’t know why Zou Luyao would give her this chance to be alone with him, she was currently at the point where she needed to make a concerted effort to confirm their relationship, so she naturally wouldn’t let it pass.

The two had just reached the basement level when Sun Yingxue suddenly spoke up, ”Brother, what is this?”

Zhao Xiaoshuai turned his head in confusion, only to be met with a pair of warm, cool lips.

”Mmph...”

He truly hadn’t expected that Sun Yingxue, who had always maintained a sense of distance, would suddenly go all-in.

But he wasn’t a novice; after only a moment of surprise, he naturally reached out to wrap his arm around her slender waist and pried open her lips and teeth.

He could clearly feel that this was indeed Sun Yingxue’s first kiss; that kind of awkwardness didn’t seem faked.

A long while later.

”Brother, you seem very experienced.”

”When you’ve been with many women, you naturally become experienced.”

”That was my first kiss, you know.”

Zhao Xiaoshuai chuckled, ”This is my first kiss with you, too.”

”You’re so annoying.”

He affectionately wrapped his arm around Sun Yingxue as they strolled downstairs.

”I can tell you really like this house.”

”Who wouldn’t like such a big house?”

”No, it’s not just the usual kind of liking. In my opinion, you seem to have some sort of... obsession with luxury homes?”

”I don’t! I just like it normally.”

That past was a thorn buried deep in her heart, and she was unwilling to reveal it in front of anyone.

But Zhao Xiaoshuai wouldn’t let her off the hook. He pushed Sun Yingxue away slightly and went to sit on the sofa on the basement level.

”Brother, what’s wrong? Why are you angry again?”

”Whether my woman has any kind of personality or any kind of special hobby, I can accept it.”

”But I cannot accept my woman hiding things from me. Every one of my girlfriends has opened their entire heart to me.”

”Conversely, if you want to truly be my girlfriend, you must first open everything up to me.”

Another direct showdown.

It was like this last time too. Is Zhao Xiaoshuai just this ”direct” with every woman, or is it only with her?

Sun Yingxue put away her ”good little sister” act and put on a slightly sad face.

”Do you have to be so forceful with me?”

”You know I like you, so I’m worthless now, right?”

Zhao Xiaoshuai wasn’t fooled by her sad expression; after all, her favorability rating hadn’t dropped, and the system wouldn’t lie.

[Favorability: 254 (Affection)]

”Whether you actually like me or not, you know, and I know. Put away your acting talent for now.”

Sun Yingxue turned and walked away.

She didn’t know why the ambiguous atmosphere from just a moment ago had suddenly turned like this. She didn’t believe her thoughts had been seen through so thoroughly; she felt that Zhao Xiaoshuai was testing her.

Regardless of the truth, she needed some space to maneuver right now.

But as if Zhao Xiaoshuai had seen through her thoughts, the moment she turned, he scooped her up into his arms by her waist.

”Ah!”

Under the sensation of weightlessness, she instinctively hugged his neck tightly.

Zhao Xiaoshuai didn’t do anything more; he just carried her back to the sofa and placed her on his lap.

”Don’t keep trying to play these push-and-pull games. We can play that as a little game later, but right now, I don’t want to waste the time.”

”I am indeed only this direct with you because there is too much utilitarianism in your heart.”

”Although this doesn’t affect the relationship between you and me, I could have just pretended not to notice and let you wear a mask and keep acting for the rest of your life.”

Sun Yingxue was finally able to confirm that Zhao Xiaoshuai had truly seen through her disguise and wasn’t just bluffing.

She put away all her performed expressions. ”Then why do you have to treat me this way? Was I not good enough like that?”

”Although you were interesting like that, it would be very tiring to keep it up forever.”

”I can meet your expectations in everything; how could you be tired? You just need to enjoy it.”

”I mean, you would live a very tiring life like that.”

Sun Yingxue was stunned. What did he mean by that?

Putting on a show of a showdown, exposing the persona she had been playing, treating her so coldly, but then suddenly starting to play the ”deep affection” card?

”You care if I live a tiring life?” She wouldn’t be fooled by these emotional manipulation tactics.

Looking at Sun Yingxue, who was right in front of him, having shed her usual sweet smile and wearing a cold expression, Zhao Xiaoshuai suddenly kissed her again.

But this time, Sun Yingxue didn’t submissively respond to him; instead, she bit him hard.

Once peeled back, she was covered in thorns.

He licked his slightly metallic-tasting lips. ”See, this is the real you. No need to weigh or calculate anything, just do whatever you want. Don’t you feel relaxed like this?”

”What exactly are you trying to say?”

”If you don’t like me, then let me go. I won’t appear in front of you again.”

After finishing, Sun Yingxue struggled continuously, but no matter what, she couldn’t break free from Zhao Xiaoshuai’s embrace.

Zhao Xiaoshuai didn’t answer her; instead, he changed the subject again.

”When this house was bought, it was over 11 million, right? Do you like it? I’ll give it to you.”

Sun Yingxue stopped struggling. ”Is playing games with me fun?”

”When it comes to big matters, I never lie to women.”

Not understanding what he was trying to do, Sun Yingxue could only go along with his words, ”I do really like this house, so sure, give it to me.”

Who knew that Zhao Xiaoshuai would just casually pull a contract out from under the sofa cushion. ”Take a look, and if there are no problems, sign it.”

”He was serious?”
