The Young Master in the Shadows

Chapter 495: Courting Death (2)

”You know that you are courting death by doing this, donʼt you, Bitch?” Margret, who fell to her knees, spat as she glared at Alpha who sat in the dining room on the main chair, dressed in a striking red sparkling dress and confidently crossing her legs.

All around them, many little girls in fluffy maid uniforms lay on the ground. They had their stun batons drawn, but for some reason, they couldnʼt move at all. It was as if an ancient strange power restricted them. Hilda was the same, kneeling by the door with a complex expression.

Yesterday, a report came that Alpha had released the three prisoners entrusted to her before she got Victorʼs approval. Thatʼs why Margret summoned her here to question her. She only appeared 15 minutes ago, acting all high and mighty going immediately into action subduing everyone.

It was clear that she had come prepared! All of the traps in the mansion, the ones she didnʼt already have control of due to her position, failed futilely against her. The little girls had no chance!

”That foul mouth of yours will not help you, I will take my time to reeducate you as I did with the girls from the Brothel!” Alpha said with a smile. She was really talking about her time.

”Blah! You are the one who needs reeducation!” Margret spat, fearlessly. ”Who the fuck did you make a deal with?” she asked. ”Who gave you this fucking power?” It was beyond reason, making her feel fully hopeless like facing a Dungeon boss while naked.

”You donʼt need to know that, but I work for no one... Not anymore, from now on, I will control my own destiny!” Alpha replied arrogantly. ”Where are the other girls?” she asked, turning to Elise, who was the only other wife besides Margret at the mansion and she was the only one she could communicate with without hearing some very foul words.

”Other than the ones on missions, Monica and Mira are filming... Aria is at the company as usual...” Elise didnʼt hide a thing. Those things were not a secret after all. ”I bet you already know that since you waited until Gamma and Beta left to join Theta this morning...”

”I just wanted to make sure...” Alpha nodded. ”The girls are too charmed with Victor to reason with... I will let them know what happens when everything is done!” Alpha told the truth with clear annoyance.

”Victor will not let this slide!” Elise added solemnly. ”He hates betrayal more than anything!”

”I am not betraying him... I am simply switching our positions,” she pondered with a dangerous smile. ”Do you know when he will be back from that supposed ʼanother worldʼ?” she asked, clearly not truly buying the story of Victorʼs departure.

”You wanna take control of him and all his assets, donʼt you?” Elise asked, dodging that question.

”Half of it is already mine to begin with... He owes me that much for taking all my coins...” she spat. ”But yeah, despite being a pervert, that stupid husband of yours is very smart! Managing to stay hidden under the noses of those bastards for so long... So, he is quite handy!” Alpha chuckled as she pondered Victorʼs true identity. ”I canʼt wait to see his expression when I step on his face in front of all his wives and declare that he will be my slave!”

”You have some weird ass fetches if you ask me... You really need help!” Margret said, making Alpha squint her eyes and look at her.

”Now really... Wouldnʼt that be a better description of you?” Alpha who stepped from his chair and knelt beside Margret and asked, catching her cheeks. ”A slut who only managed to reach her current position by spreading her legs for the richest guy she could find!”

”Watch it with the language!” Margret warned. ”And it is an honest hard job! You can try it if you can... I bet you will start screaming for Victor to spare you in mere seconds after you start!!”

”YOU.... ”Alpha, who was about to flare angrily, paused. ”Interesting... You really think this will work on me?” Alpha asked as she lifted her hand moved her fingers like she was manipulating a thread, making a ball of faint blue gas slowly gather in her hand. This was one of the newly developed soul wine extracts that destabilized the soul. Margret had just released it before she was fully paralyzed. ”Zolan really managed to remove the odor... Not bad!”

”Shit....” Margret cursed.

”Letʼs see if there was any enhancement to its effect!” Alpha said gathering the gas then pointing with her finger making it drill into Margretʼs nostrils.

”No....” Resistance was futile, she had to breathe after all. ”You will pay for this...” Margret glared at Alpha.

”Now... Now... All I have to do is get you emotionally unstable, right...?” Alpha asked, taking out an ominous red dagger.

”What are you going to do?” Elise asked nervously as Margret frowned a bit.

”Since you refuse to submit to me, I am going to do a little test...” Alpha said, putting the dagger on Margretʼs cheek. ”I always wondered why Victor likes you... ”

”I am glad to be always on your mind...” Margret spat.

”...” Alpha ignored her. ”Is it the red hair, the shitty personality or that slutty face of yours....”

”It is all of the above!” Margret replied nervously, not knowing what was on Alphaʼs mind.

”We will have to see then... I will ruin your face first, then using my eternal power, I will make sure that no healing pill will ever work on it.... I want to see Victorʼs reaction when he sees you looking like a real hoe...” she said as she began to slide the dagger down, making a red line appear on Margretʼs face. ”Maybe your filthy child will call you pig mother in the future...”

”...” Margret gasped as she felt the scalding hot dagger dig through her cheek. ”You will pay for this... I swear I will make you crawl on all four and beg me to forgive you....” she said, ignoring the pain as Alpha pushed the dagger deeper. She knew that if she got angry with that gas in her system, she might go into a shock that would harm her soul.

”He he he... I want to see you do the same, to tell the truth, I never liked you... Not one bit!” Alpha said. ”Your kind of gold-digging bitches is one of the many things wrong with this world!”

”No... Nothing wrong with gold digging, itʼs an honest job!”

It was not Margret who said that.

”WHAT THE...” Alpha paused and slowly turned to look behind her.

Victor von Weise was standing there in some otherworldly travel clothes, looking at her with a very cold expression.

”Are you Victor or Axel?” Alpha asked. She shouldnʼt be feeling nervous, but for some reason, she did with Victor appearing there out of nowhere.

When did he come here? Why did she, despite her power and taking control of the mansionʼs array never feel him approach at all?

”HUSBAND!” Margret, whose cheek was cut deeply, exclaimed together with Elize, confirming his identity!

”Everything will be ok... Sorry, I was a bit late, some insects got in my way” he sighed as he nodded to Elise who was desperately calling for him moments ago, not knowing he was back. ”Control your emotions, and remember that you are still poisoned... I will fix your face later, ”he told Margret while giving the little girls who were completely paralyzed a glance to assert their situation. Nodding, he took a stack of talismans and threw them in the air, making them automatically fly and fall on each of the girls breaking their [ETERNAL IMMOBILITY CURSE] immediately.

”What...” Alpha who didnʼt stop him frowned. She always knew he had a lot of authority, but seeing it break her power like it was nothing meant that it was far more than she expected. Maybe her grandmothers were right about him after all.

”Take the girls and leave!” Victor ordered softly, eyeing Margret who nodded then stood up with difficulty and walked out with her slightly bloated stomach. ”Using your power for that is not cool!” he turned to Alpha and scolded. After confirming the girlsʼ safety, his anger was subdued a bit, but he was not pleased with Alphaʼs actions at all!

”You are not my boss... Not anymore...” she said as she watched all the girls leave while shooting her angry glares. She planned to punish them a little when she finished with Victor.

”I didnʼt give you the Eternal spark to be a bully!” he said, ignoring her ranting.

”So, you know about that...” Alpha squinted her eyes as her hand clasped around her dagger hard. A part of her wanted to subdue Victor immediately, but another deeper and primal part that she didnʼt even know existed was screaming for her to run away and never look back!

”Naturally... I didnʼt expect you to become a lord this fast though,” Victor lied. In fact, he didnʼt know anything until now. The moment he came here and glanced at Alphaʼs new appraisal; he easily connected the dots!

So, in the end, sparks really did create lords, but he was not sure how she did it and why it was not effective before. He was sure he would be able to make her talk!

He will have to beat her sorry ass first, though, and he had three choices, the first was to directly use the Appraisal pillar he used on Zendo and rub her from all of her powers. He was 90% sure that she was a system Lord after all. The reason he knew this was because of her very high proficiency in using her Eternal power, and her having more than 10,000 Authority and a level higher than 1000. She wouldnʼt have gained that much without giving something to the system!

The second choice was to directly use the Karmic Arbitration skill and make her his slave.

The third was to try his hand on her... He was really itching for a fight lately, especially after he leveled up a lot in Ismeralia. He just didnʼt want to reveal himself before, and he was not crazy enough to fight with one of the lords to try his hand. Alpha though was a tempting punching bag... With her current level three times his, she should be tough enough to handle all of his powers!

”Why are you smiling like that?” Alpha, who slowly managed to regain her composure, asked, reminding herself that even if he was who she thought he was, he wouldnʼt be able to do anything to her. Her power surpassed reason! Still, his smile that resembled that of a mouse looking at a mouse unsettled her.

”Just pondering, do you wanna be tied and spanked, stripped and spanked, or just spanked?” Victor asked, loving his palms behind his back as he tilted his head to the side without changing his smile. He was really considering his options.

”Like you would never be able to subdue me ever again...” she said as he lifted her dagger to attack before pausing as he raised his hand gesturing for her to stop.

”Letʼs go somewhere else, I donʼt want to cause a commotion here...” he said, giving the little girl who was spying from outside on them another wink before disappearing. Thatʼs what it seemed to Elise. Only Alpha was able to see him swiftly jump out of the window and run north.

”...” she paused for a moment, then after flicking her finger and looked around to make sure there were no traps before quickly following. Like him, she didnʼt want to attract unwarranted attention to herself or her ʼnewʼ base.

As for the feeling of dread she was experiencing. She decided to ignore it. She could feel that Victor, although become a lot stronger, was way weaker than her after she connected to the System node.

***

”They are gone!” Elise turned to Margret and said As soon as Alpha leaves. ”Will he be ok...” she couldnʼt help but ask.

”He should be fine... He should kick that bitchʼs ass and bring her back for discipline in a few hours!” Margret, who finished taking the antidote for the Soul gas, said as she walked away, her face still bleeding.

Elise paused for a moment then nodded. Although Alphaʼs new power felt strange, Victor was not the kind to choose to fight if he was not sure about his chances. He would have even secretly told them not to escape, not to keep his return a secret, and to prepare a bath and a dinner for him!

”You better see to your face, lest it leave a scar!” Hilda, who was still feeling a little shocked by Alphaʼs actions, suddenly told Margret after making sure the young maids were fine.

”I will not heal easily, nor do I want it to before I get my revenge... I wouldnʼt be the Gold Digger Slut I am if I didnʼt!” she hissed as she clenched her teeth.

”Where are you going?” Elise asked worriedly. This was the first time she saw Margret like this.

”To prepare my Big Brother... I will need him to take revenge on Alpha for me...”

Hilda frowned, Did Margret have a big brother?

”Big.... AH. THAT...THAT THING!” Elise gasped as she blushed. She even used her hand to cover her face in shame remembering that thing, making Hilda quickly show a very weird expression as she got it.

Two weeks ago, it arrived in a very secure package by mail. The maids mistakenly delivered it to Eliseʼs office.

Due to its name ʼBIG BROTHERʼ, its metallic luster, and sturdy nature, she thought it was a new kind of baton for the guards and decided to try her hand at it.

It was only when Hilda came and politely questioned her why the fuck was, she waving that huge ***** around, she realized how severe her mistake was. This was not a new weapon, but the factoryʼs latest products!

”Poor Alpha...” she couldnʼt help but say as she watched Margret go into revenge mode.
