Chapter 2692: Chapter 994: Buddhist Forbidden Curse, Transmitting Truth Hall Master

Transmitting Truth Hall!

Luo Chen looked up at the plaque of the hall suspended high above, his expression quite emotional.

He had come to Cangwu Mountain three times in total, and each time he stayed here. There seemed to be a bit of fate at play.

In front, Youquan was leading the way. They passed through the main hall and wound around layers of palaces, heading in a direction Luo Chen was quite familiar with.

It was exactly where he had stayed last time, the cave dwelling he resided in.

Indeed, not long after, he once again arrived at that familiar cave dwelling.

”Settle down for now and wait for Yuan Jun’s instructions.” Youquan looked at Luo Chen with a complex expression, his eyes seemingly trying to see through him.

Luo Chen knew that leaving Cangwu Mountain wouldn’t be easy, so even though he was eager to return, he did not object.

He only made an unwelcome request as Youquan was about to leave.

”Intelligence on the Mountain Sea Realm?” Youquan snorted lightly, ”Just wait!”

Luo Chen was helpless, not knowing if Youquan would actually deliver the information to him.

He did not insist, he just did not want to be entirely in the dark when he went outside.

After Youquan left, Luo Chen turned and entered the spirit qi-abundant cave dwelling.

Upon entry, the familiar arrangement and furnishings came into view, almost unchanged from the last time he left.

This place, comparable to Vice Hall Master Youquan’s and second only to the rumored cave of the main hall master of Transmitting Truth Hall, seemed always vacant.

”Convenient, indeed!”

Luo Chen chuckled lightly and settled in.

The battle at the Glazed Pure Land had made his demonic power renowned and resulted in many victories, but it was not as effortless as it appeared on the surface.

The depletion of his qi power and origin force was not something that could be concealed.

Having this high-order spirit vein as a place to recuperate was like having a pillow when tired.

In the following days, Luo Chen did not step outside but concentrated on restoring his qi power within the cave dwelling.

During this time, Youquan visited with a poor attitude and delivered a jade slip.

The slip contained updated intelligence on the Mountain Sea Realm, emphasizing the regions of the Eastern Wasteland and Zhongzhou, with mentions of significant events in other areas as well.

This demonstrated Cangwu Mountain’s capability in intelligence gathering!

After thoroughly reading through it, Luo Chen had a general understanding of the current state of the Mountain Sea Realm.

Once he had recovered about seventy to eighty percent of his condition, Luo Chen began another undertaking.

”The Moonlight Heart-Clearing Mantra”

Staring at the jade slip in his hand, Luo Chen muttered to himself.

This was part of the remuneration given to him by Master Xuan Du.

According to Master Xuan Du, this spell had the remarkable effect of forcibly consolidating the primordial spirit, a rare method in the Hanging Temple for glimpsing the threshold of divine transformation.

Due to the danger of forcibly consolidating the primordial spirit, it was classified for a time as a Buddhist forbidden curse, only to be practiced by those with a strong divine soul despite its low order.

With Luo Chen’s profound divine soul endowment, he could naturally ignore this threshold.

”If the consolidated primordial spirit proves firm and reliable, perhaps I could bypass the danger of retrieving my life soul from the Tianyuan Daoist Sect, and directly aim to reach the realm of divine transformation in the future.”

The Tianyuan Daoist Sect was a place of extreme peril.

For thousands of years, only Qi Xia Emperor dared to strike at the mountain gate.

If not necessary, Luo Chen did not wish to take that risk.

The Moonlight Heart-Clearing Mantra was one of his contingencies.

In the deep of night, after a thorough study, Luo Chen began attempting to learn this technique.

All sentient beings are troubled, all troubles are painful.

Trouble neither arises nor ceases, neither defiles nor purifies, neither increases nor decreases.

The form arises from the formless, ability begets inaction, presence returns to absence.

The divine is born from the heart, when the heart is clear, the spirit settles itself. Troubles do not attach to the body, nor hinder the heart; this is the mystery of transforming the illusory divine soul into a tangible primordial spirit.

”Namo, Haradnaya, Doryaya... Bodhisattva Maha Satva...”

The initial cultivation was fraught with obstacles.

Being not well-versed in Buddhist terminology, Luo Chen found it extremely challenging to evoke the power of the divine soul through the incantation.

But with persistent recitation, the mantra became increasingly smooth, and his condition improved.

Even his restless heart gradually calmed down.

Outside the cave, it was the dead of night.

A crescent moon shed its broad glow over the mountains, especially enchanting the cave dwelling where Luo Chen resided, as if it were a dream.

A pair of indifferent eyes, separated by a hundred-mile distance, stared at the location of the Transmitting Truth Hall, without a trace of emotion.

...

Half a month later.

Looking at the attribute panel and the newly added entry, Luo Chen revealed a satisfied expression.

The Moonlight Heart-Clearing Mantra was mastered!

Although it was not enough to consolidate the primordial spirit, it sufficed.

As long as he persists in cultivation, when the opportunity comes, he will surely cross that threshold.

Moreover, during these days of cultivation, he discovered that the mantra also had the function of refining the divine soul.

On Soulbreak Cliff, he had absorbed too many soul stones, which led to a sudden and substantial increase in his divine soul.

Even though those soul stones were extremely pure, without any impurities, the sudden increase in divine soul endowment inevitably brought a certain restlessness and fiery temper.

This mantra, precisely, could help calm the mind and dispel the agitation.

For this reason alone, it was not in vain that Luo Chen took the time to cultivate it deliberately.

”Perhaps in the future, this mantra can be integrated into the Dust Origin Technique?” Luo Chen mused.

As his realm elevated, the Dust Origin Technique he created in his younger years had completely fallen behind his pace.

Even though it had been infused with various similar techniques like Wind-Calming Wave to remove distracting thoughts, it was ultimately too low in order.

The soul refining methods within the Soul Cleaving Technique and the Heavenly Phoenix Nirvana Technique, on the other hand, were too advanced, and not compatible with the Dust Origin Technique.
