Global Lords: Me and My Calabash Kiddos

Chapter 313: Chapter 48: The Rollercoaster of Illness, Auspicious Signs Descend (Part 3)

Hiss!

What’s going on?

Why is the Spiritual Qi Density so high? Yi Tian remembers it was only 310% last night.

Before opening the Treasure Chest last night, it was 280%. Welcoming Pine added 20%. The new Heavenly and Earthly Treasures added 10%. That made it 310%.

So, the auspicious beasts, birds, bees, and butterflies entering the territory added 300% to the Territorial Spiritual Qi Density.

According to Yi Tian’s estimation, the city area near the Heavenly and Earthly Treasures has a Spiritual Qi Density of 700%.

The central War Manor has a Spiritual Qi Density of 800%.

Could it be that Purple Phoenix Moon Dance was wrong? Not 100%, but 300%?

But her math skills shouldn’t be that bad.

If all Lords’ territories got a 300% boost in Qi density, it would be a huge increase. As long as you’re alive, you’d rocket up in power.

Suddenly, Yi Tian had a flash of inspiration!

”Is this plague related to the territory’s Spiritual Qi Density? If the density is high, the symptoms lessen.”

”Yesterday, Purple Phoenix Moon Dance said a Lord in her region killed all the auspicious beasts, and their sickness didn’t get better—they actually got worse. The auspicious beasts bring dense Heaven and Earth Spiritual Qi, and killing them cuts the territory’s Spiritual Qi in half, which worsened the illness.”

”Yesterday, I got infected in the arena by an unknown challenger. The arena’s Spiritual Qi Density is 100%. When I returned to the villa, my condition eased up right away, because the villa was at a whopping 500% Qi density yesterday. It slowly intensified again because overnight, the illness worsened.”

”Hundred Flowers Spirit Wine can treat the plague, but can’t cure it. It’s like a chronic disease—the medicine only eases symptoms. You get a temporary reprieve, then it gets worse again. That gives the Lord extra time. Not just Hundred Flowers Spirit Wine, but things like Dragon Beard Grass, Hundred Herbs Wine, and other Heavenly and Earthly Treasures can probably treat the plague too. But none can cure it for good.”

”After I left the city, my symptoms got worse and I felt chest pressure. That’s because I was leaving the zone with the densest Spiritual Qi.”

”After all the birds, beasts, bees, and butterflies arrived, the territory’s density rose by 300%, so the symptoms eased again.”

Yi Tian’s analysis sounded perfectly logical.

The territory had a base Spiritual Qi Density of 610%, which could reduce plague symptoms to some extent.

Yi Tian returned to the now-changed War Manor.

Invisible waves of Spiritual Qi hit his face, and sure enough, Yi Tian felt his condition improve a bit.

At that moment, Yi Tian could almost unleash his full strength.

But he could still clearly feel the virus inside him.

It was just a matter of time before things worsened.

Yi Tian guessed that three hours after infection, the plague would first break out.

Eight hours after that, the plague would be in full effect.

When Yi Tian passed by the Jianmu Divine Tree sapling, he saw a Celestial Immortal Crane paused next to it.

As soon as Yi Tian showed up, the crane bolted...

There were still many auspicious birds circling in the sky above the Jianmu Divine Tree sapling.

”You can’t be eyeing my priceless treasure, are you? Sure, the Jianmu Divine Tree will probably live longer than me. But I will never let you eat it.”

Yi Tian called over the Twelve-winged Tiger Star Beast, telling it to take shifts according to the time and stand guard to protect the Divine Tree sapling.

Auspicious beasts are different from the territory’s fierce beasts.

As soon as Yi Tian gave the order, the fierce beasts would absolutely obey.

Auspicious beasts don’t listen to Yi Tian—they just treat the territory as their habitat.

At this point, the little Kiddos ran over, and Yi Tian didn’t stop them.

Chances are, they’d already gotten infected.

”Purple Phoenix Moon Dance, how are you holding up?”

To confirm his theories, Yi Tian opened the Celestial Dao Stone and messaged Purple Phoenix Moon Dance.

”I can only use a bit more than half my power. Yesterday’s symptoms are exactly manifesting in me now,” Purple Phoenix Moon Dance replied.

”Are your territory members affected the same way?” Yi Tian pressed on.

Purple Phoenix Moon Dance’s territory started at 100% Spiritual Qi Density. She has Spirit Fruit Trees, and even an SSS-level Spirit Fruit Tree.

If there are also other Spirit Flowers and Spirit Grass, she should get about 5% more Qi feedback in her territory.

This means the plague can only lower living beings’ combat power by up to 50%.

And there will be some added pain as well.

”That’s right! No threat to life, but battle power is stuck at 50%. If enemies attack now, the consequences are unthinkable.” Purple Phoenix Moon Dance sounded deeply worried.

”[High-Level Hundred Flowers Spirit Wine * 100ml] trade [none].”

”If enemies come, drink a mouthful. You’ll be cured for ten minutes. After ten minutes, within one hour you’ll be able to use 90% of your power.”

Yi Tian traded some Hundred Flowers Spirit Wine to Purple Phoenix Moon Dance.

Don’t be fooled by how Yi Tian drank a whole cup at once—one good sip is actually enough.

High-Level Hundred Flowers Spirit Wine, blessed by Flower Spirits, raises Spiritual Power Affinity and heals all illnesses.

Purple Phoenix Moon Dance hadn’t expected Yi Tian to always have these special items up his sleeve.

Spiritual Power Affinity is absolutely critical for a Qi Refiner.

”I owe you one, and I will pay it back. [S-level Spirit Fruit Orange Heart Fruit *10] trade [none].”

”I just rushed these S-level Spirit Fruits to ripeness today. Was planning to get some SSS-level Spirit Fruits, but that’s still a long way off.”

Purple Phoenix Moon Dance accepted the Hundred Flowers Spirit Wine, and traded Yi Tian ten Orange Heart Fruits.

Orange Heart Fruit: increases Spiritual Power by 20, Agility by 10, and Constitution by 10 on consumption.

Yi Tian grabbed them instantly.

When it comes to these power-boosting Spirit Pills and Fruits, Yi Tian can’t resist.

He was already thinking about how to distribute them—one each for the seven little Kiddos, one each for Liyue and Qixin.

One leftover, which Yi Tian kept for himself.

”By the way, birds, beasts, bees, and butterflies increased my Spiritual Qi Density by 300%. Did you do your math wrong yesterday?” This was what Yi Tian wanted to ask.

”That much? My territory’s Spiritual Qi Density only went up by 100%, and that’s accurate. But in our region, some Lords’ Spiritual Qi Density only rose by 80%, some by 85%. I haven’t met anyone with higher Qi density than me!” Purple Phoenix Moon Dance told Yi Tian what she knew, certain that she didn’t mess up the numbers.

But the fact that Yi Tian’s Qi Density increased by 300% was a shock to her.

As a Qi Refiner, she understands exactly what a 300% boost in territory Qi means.

Add that to the original 100%, and that’s 400% Spiritual Qi Density. Yi Tian’s practically about to take off.

”Alright! Let me do some research and see what’s going on!”

Yi Tian was about to ask around in the regional channel.
