A 10,000-fold Increase System, Picking Up Garbage and Becoming a Technology Giant

12: Chapter 12: Dramatic Modification Begins! The Scrap Yard Transforms into a Future Workshop! It was an early morning in late summer in Magic City. The air carried a hint of chill as the sun just began to peek over the horizon. The backyard of Wang Defu’s scrap yard was already a scene of bustling activity.

The blueprint named Super Factory remained clear in Chen Fan’s mind, every detail seemingly urging him to turn it into reality immediately. He was going to transform from a destitute young man picking through trash for money into a pioneer of future industrial innovation.

”Uncle Wang,” Chen Fan’s voice carried an irrepressible excitement, still immersed in the shock of the ”Divine Workshop,” ”The blueprint is ready. Next, it’s time for us to get to work! First, let’s transform this scrap yard of ours into a prototype capable of hatching that ’Divine Workshop’!”

Chen Fan’s gaze was like a torch as it swept across the entire scrap yard. Based on the initial requirements of the ”Panshi Foundation” blueprint, the future smart brain had quickly generated the optimal base modification plan.

”Step one, we need a ’Main Workshop’ that can truly provide shelter from the wind and rain and is sturdy enough.” Chen Fan pointed to the relatively flat open space in the center of the yard. ”We’ll use these recycled steel and plates.”

He was a man of action. Chen Fan was shirtless, his bronze skin already glistening with fine beads of sweat. He took a deep breath, his gaze falling on several rusted steel beams that were so thick they would require two people to encircle them with their arms. These were the ”showpieces” Wang Defu had collected years ago; they had been left untouched because they were too heavy, but now they would serve as the core materials for the main frame of the workshop.

Chen Fan placed his hand on the steel.

”Silently chanting: structural strength, corrosion resistance, standardized specifications.”

[Triggered 1000x material and structure Amplification, obtained ”High-Strength Standard Structural Steel”!]

A faint light flashed, and those rust-covered steel beams became silvery and neat, emitting a cold, hard metallic luster.

Next, he found some thick old wooden boards and plywood.

”Silently chanting: board hardness, fire and moisture resistance, dimensional stability.”

[Triggered 2000x performance Amplification, obtained ’Composite Reinforced Construction Board’!]

The boards became heavy and sturdy with smooth surfaces, comparable to high-grade construction materials.

”Xiao Fan, will... will this work? How about I rent a crane? With steel pipes this heavy, it’ll be hard to set them up with just the strength of the two of us.” Although Wang Defu knew Chen Fan’s abilities, facing such a massive project still left him somewhat skeptical and worried.

”Uncle Wang, don’t worry. We have a helper.” Chen Fan smiled and cast his gaze toward a ”strange thing” in the corner.

It was a robotic arm with a slightly odd appearance! Its entire body was a non-standard matte black with exquisite joint structures, but upon closer inspection, some shell connections still showed the rough seams and cheap plastic texture belonging to a toy. The multi-functional adaptive gripper at the front was open, forming a peculiar contrast with its somewhat ”toy-like” base.

This was one of Chen Fan’s achievements from last night.

Yesterday afternoon, while Wang Defu was sorting through a batch of collected scrap, he pulled an almost-falling-apart toy robot out of a broken cardboard box. It was missing limbs and was filthy. Wang Defu originally wanted to throw it directly into the plastic pile, but Chen Fan had a sudden thought and reached out to touch the only remaining, relatively intact mechanical right arm. He thought that if this could be amplified into a robotic arm capable of heavy lifting, wouldn’t it be a great helper for building the factory?

[Ding! Target item detected: ”Damaged Toy Robot Arm”. Perform random Amplification?]

”Amplify.”

[Amplification complete! 10000x function and structure Amplification initiated. Obtained: ”Engineering Auxiliary Robotic Arm”!]

At that moment, a faint light flashed, and that worn-out toy arm was reshaped and enlarged by an invisible force, with the subtle sound of metallic components assembling coming from within. In the blink of an eye, a robotic arm with a precise structure and full of industrial power appeared in its place, though its appearance still bore a trace of its toy origins, looking like a product of a forced upgrade.

Now, this robotic arm, amplified from a toy, stood tall, waiting for its first mission.

Chen Fan scanned it with the future smart brain: ”Robotic arm inspection complete. Power core stable, all joints operating normally! Ready for work at any time!”

”Calculate the center of gravity and the optimal lifting path for this steel beam, and import it into the robotic arm’s control system.”

”Instruction received! 3D scanning in progress... Model established! Center of gravity locked! Path planning optimization complete! Boss, you can begin!”

Chen Fan bent over and gripped the bottom of the steel beam with both hands, the [Great Strength Gloves] providing a warm sensation of power. He took a deep breath and said to his phone, ”Initiate collaborative lifting mode!”

”Collaborative mode initiated!” the future smart brain responded.

Hum—

The robotic arm emitted a low and steady hydraulic startup sound. Unlike the roar of large construction machinery, its sound was more refined yet equally full of power. Under xiao wei’s remote control, the massive alloy gripper moved precisely, firmly clamping onto the calculated weight-bearing position in the middle of the steel beam.

”Lift!” Chen Fan barked softly, his waist and arms exerting force simultaneously to provide the initial momentum and guidance.

The robotic arm’s hydraulic system synchronously outputted powerful force, merging perfectly with Chen Fan’s strength!

His movements were swift and precise. The heavy steel beam seemed weightless in his hands as the splicing and riveting (using amplified tools) flowed like water.

In just half a day, the main structure of a sturdy, square steel-framed shed, covering an area half the size of a basketball court, rose from the ground!

That heavy steel beam was easily and steadily lifted off the ground by the man and the arm, rising smoothly without the slightest wobble!

Wang Defu’s mouth hung open. He looked at the robotic arm that was just a piece of junk toy yesterday but was now displaying such incredible power, then at the calm and composed Chen Fan, feeling as though his worldview had been refreshed once again.

”Shift left by two centimeters... descend slowly... watch the interface alignment!” Data streams flickered on the smartphone screen of the future smart brain as the 3D model calibrated in real-time.

Chen Fan fine-tuned the direction based on the prompts. The robotic arm maintained absolute stability, following his guidance to slowly lower the steel beam into the heavy-duty slots pre-embedded in the concrete base.

”Clang—!”

A heavy, solid, and reassuring sound of metal impact rang out. The first main load-bearing steel beam was precisely embedded into the base, its vertical alignment perfect!

Chen Fan let go, his breathing steady. The robotic arm elegantly retracted its gripper, and the hydraulic sound faded.

”Perfect installation! Error less than 0.2 millimeters! (★ ω ★)” xiao wei’s screen jumped with twinkling star-eyes.

Wang Defu walked circles around the workshop that was just beginning to take shape, his mouth never closing. This speed, this quality—even a professional construction team would be dumbfounded!

Chen Fan shook the gloves on his hands. ”These gloves make carrying things effortless. I upgraded your work gloves yesterday. If you need to carry heavy things later, just put them on.”

”Uncle Wang, this is just the beginning. Before sunset today, we’ll have the entire steel skeleton of this factory standing tall.” Chen Fan looked at the robotic arm, full of confidence.

Just then, a piercing, noisy commotion came from the entrance.

”Old Man Wang, are you home?”

Wang Defu’s face darkened. ”It’s Scar Qiang and his gang!”

Seeing that Wang Defu’s expression was off, Chen Fan followed him toward the entrance.

”Oho, quite a commotion you’ve got here, eh?” Scar Qiang squinted, his gaze sweeping over the backyard. Seeing the major renovation of Wang Defu’s yard, greed quickly took the upper hand. ”Well then, the management fee will have to double!”

Wang Defu trembled with rage. ”You bunch of scoundrels!”

”Old man, you’re asking for it!” Scar Qiang’s face twisted into a snarl. ”Get him!” Two thugs brandishing steel pipes rushed forward.

”Stop.” Chen Fan stepped forward, his figure blocking the way in front of Wang Defu like a mountain. ”Get lost now, and there’s still time.”

”Waste him!” Scar Qiang roared.

Several men swarmed forward.

Chen Fan’s eyes turned cold; he neither dodged nor avoided them.

A side-step, a wrist-lock, and a twist! With the help of the [Great Strength Gloves], the thugs’ screams were accompanied by the sound of steel pipes hitting the ground.

The movements were concise and efficient! In the face of absolute strength, in less than ten seconds, the only one left standing was a pale-faced Scar Qiang.

”Bi... Big brother... I’m leaving, I’m leaving right now! If you ever dare come back, I’ll beat you every time I see you.” Scar Qiang’s legs went soft.

Watching Scar Qiang scramble away, Wang Defu’s back straightened quite a bit.

Chen Fan turned and walked toward the next steel beam. ”Those pieces of trash coming to cause trouble really delayed the schedule.”

”Come on! Let’s get the next one ready!” Chen Fan was completely immersed in his work.
