Chapter 413: Chapter 20: Meeting the Supreme Being (Subscription Requested)

Feng Yu sat quietly, reading the announcement over and over again.

“The Peak Master of Shisan has stepped into the Eighth Layer,” Feng Yu’s mind kept flashing with this information, and his heart felt increasingly suffocated.

Thinking back to when he had refused the invitation of the Peak Master of Shisan, Feng Yu faintly felt a certain choking sensation.

If the Peak Master of Shisan had never invited him to join the Thirteen Peaks, Feng Yu would not have this feeling; of so many challengers, only two had caught the eye of the Peak Master in the end.

But he had clearly been one of the chosen by the Peak Master of Shisan, too. If he had not refused at that time, then now he would probably also be a disciple of the Peak Master of Shisan.

“My choice at that time, given the situation then, was not wrong,” Feng Yu steadied his spirit, and his mind began to ‘replay’ incessantly.

...
During the test in Seven Star Cave, the Peak Master of Shisan was only at Seventh Rank, while the Great Peak Master was already at Eighth Layer.

Even if the Peak Master of Shisan held the hope of stepping into the Eighth Layer, it was just that, hope. To abandon a vague hope and choose the more practical Great Peak Master was not a mistake.

“Who would have thought that the Peak Master of Shisan would step into the Eighth Layer so quickly…” Feng Yu sighed.

It wasn’t just him—across the entire Chikun Star Domain, the entire Annan Star Alliance, who would have thought the Peak Master of Shisan could have broken through so quickly?

“No, that’s not right.”

“I should have been able to foresee this.”

“Didn’t Mo Li foresee it?”

Feng Yu muttered to himself, “Mo Li is a Chired, and I still remember the look of surprise on his face when he learned I had chosen the Great Peak Master over the Peak Master of Shisan.”

“Mo Li knew right from the start that the Peak Master of Shisan had boundless potential.”

Feng Yu looked up at the sky.

“But Mo Li came from a Seventh Rank force; even if he made the wrong choice, it wouldn’t have much of an impact. I couldn’t be sure; my clan needed me to make the most advantageous choice as quickly as possible.”

“And at that time, the best choice for me was the Great Peak Master!”

Feng Yu shook his head.

“Alas, there is no such opportunity anymore.”

Feng Yu’s mood fell.

He understood that he had missed the most important opportunity of his life.

That was to join under the banner of the Peak Master of Shisan.

Even Feng Yu realized that the Peak Master of Shisan being able to step into the Eighth Layer before the age of a hundred suggested that his future achievements could indeed be said to be boundless.

…

The Thirteen Peaks.

Mo Li and Wu Lan were utterly baffled.

“The Peak Master has stepped into the Eighth Layer?”

“So quickly?”

Mo Li blinked his eyes; originally, he felt extremely excited to have joined under the banner of the Peak Master of Shisan. He had placed his hopes on the Peak Master of Shisan eventually stepping into the Eighth Layer, and by clinging to this powerful support, he would benefit endlessly.

But who could have expected that this day would come so swiftly?

“Eighth Layer?”

Wu Lan held her tongue, hesitating.

She simply felt that it was amazing for their Peak Master to step into the Eighth Layer, not quite understanding what it meant, nor foreseeing how the situation in the surrounding star domains and even the Star Alliance would change because of Lin Yuan.

She was only at Third Rank and lacked any significant background. The fact that she could become a disciple of the Peak Master of Shisan was entirely due to luck.

Of course, it wasn’t entirely due to luck. Being able to achieve a top ten ranking in the planet’s tournament also played a part in her strength.

“Fools have their own kind of fortune.”

Mo Li glanced at Wu Lan. He went to great lengths to perform at his best during the test in Seven Star Cave, all for the purpose of becoming a disciple of the Peak Master of Shisan.

But Wu Lan, just an ordinary silver-patterned person, was also chosen by the Peak Master of Shisan, achieving the result he had struggled so hard to attain.

Mo Li couldn’t help but feel that sometimes luck is also a crucial factor.

At least for Wu Lan, becoming a disciple under the banner of the Peak Master of Shisan would undoubtedly secure her a not so low status in the future.

…

Deep inside the great hall.

Lin Yuan was sensing the changes within himself.

“The inner world has become more perfect,” he noted.

Lin Yuan’s consciousness appeared within his inner world. When he had merged with three cosmic rare treasures previously, the inner world had already become largely perfected.

But with Lin Yuan stepping into the Eighth Layer, the inner world not only expanded to cover an area of two hundred and fifty thousand li in radius but also seemed to have grown to maturity.

“Origin Source…”

Lin Yuan observed carefully.

In the Tianqing World, Lin Yuan, replacing the heart of heaven with his own, took the place of the world consciousness, becoming an existence akin to the ‘Heavenly Tao.’

But compared to this moment, there was a ‘qualitative’ difference.

Lin Yuan had controlled the Tianqing World with emphasis on ‘control’, but now, facing his inner world, Lin Yuan was able to merge with it completely.

“Primordial Spirit…”

A thought from Lin Yuan.

The Taiyang Divine Spirit emerged from within his body, sitting cross-legged facing Lin Yuan.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh.

Terrible power of Taiyang surged within the Taiyang Divine Spirit, an endless supply of Taiyang power faintly forming a World of Flames and gathering the Understanding of Space Rules. The World of Flames expanded rapidly, reaching a range of two hundred thousand li in an instant.

“After stepping into the Eighth Layer, even without relying on Yin-Yang Taiji, just using the Taiyang Rule and Space Rules alone, I can create a World of Flames,” Lin Yuan thought quickly to himself.

Taiyin and Taiyang merged into Taiji, perfecting the strength, and lowering the difficulty of creating a minor world, allowing Lin Yuan to open up an inner world at the Sixth Rank Peak.

Now, as Lin Yuan had reached the Eighth Layer and continuously deepened his understanding over the years, the Taiyang Rule was profoundly comprehended, such that even if the power of Taiyang was slightly extreme, from a high viewpoint, he could use the Space Rules to carve out a World of Flames.

However, in terms of the stability of the world, a pure World of Flames certainly could not compare to a Taiji World.

“Hmm?”

“Door to the Myriad Realms?”

Lin Yuan seemed to sense something and immediately submerged his mind into the depths of his consciousness.

He arrived at the majestic and grand Door to the Myriad Realms.

“After stepping into the Eighth Layer, the Door to the Myriad Realms has become a bit more solid,” observed Lin Yuan carefully. As early as when he had stepped into the Sixth Rank, Lin Yuan knew that the Door to the Myriad Realms he saw was nothing but a projection of the true Door to the Myriad Realms.
