My Players Are So Fierce

After a moment of thought, he said:

“The plan for now is to first abandon the 37 southern frontier towns, withdraw the people back to our area of influence, and then station those Demigods and Divine Warriors with our army in several key regions.

Although the Ganote people have received help from the Aztecs, their inherent flaws will sooner or later lead them to infighting due to unequal distribution; these Barbarians, who don’t understand unity, are like mud that can’t stick to walls, otherwise, they wouldn’t have been swiftly defeated by us in fifty years.

Moreover, their ‘god’ now stands on our side…

Those fierce Aztecs are not philanthropists. They too have lost their Creator’s Artifact used to protect the frontier. Although the Aztec national power is strong, they cannot support fighting through the entire Holy Spirit Plain.

The servants of the Feathered Serpent God view guarding the Heart of the World Forest as their sacred duty. According to the unanimous prediction of the army staff officers, the Aztecs will most likely assist the Ganote people in breaking through the central Holy Spirit Plain and then stop advancing.

By then, the protagonists of this war will revert back to us and the Ganote Barbarians.

Mayor, we are not afraid of those guys.

But these are only speculations, so I require you to be prepared for the most dangerous scenario.

I know we are seen as exiles and traitors by the Monarchs of the Old Continent, and they likely won’t care about our survival, but that money… it has to be spent! If not now, then should we save it for when the Ganote people come back, only to use it as ransom?

If the Goldenrod

Kingdom ignores us, we should find the Northerners, if the Northerners ignore us, look for the Posya Confederation, and if that doesn’t work, seek out the greedy Brass Dwarves.

The New Continent also has plenty of Burngold Veins, they will certainly be interested.”

“Hmm, that makes sense, go prepare first, I’ll give you a reply later.”

Mayor Pat appeared very satisfied on the surface, but after the officer left, his face fell instantly.

Damn it!

Those idiots still hope for Posya Confederation and Brass Dwarves?

Those two forces have long gone down!

They don’t even know about the Ten-Year War and the collapse of the Old Faith, still living in ignorance of more than a decade ago, unaware that the Old Continent they are familiar with has already changed drastically.

Mayor Pat, being part of the management, knows these things. He is one of the few “awakened” individuals among the New Continent inhabitants trapped in their information cocoons, he has his own channels to learn about everything happening in the Old Continent, but precisely because of this, he feels incredibly desperate.

At this moment, every country on the Old Continent has its own troubles, they will certainly not send people to assist these poor pioneers at this time.

The plan now is to find a way to save themselves.

Perhaps retreat to the cold northern ice plains before the Aztecs and Ganote Barbarians come and sweep them away… uh, no, strategic withdrawal?

“Master, a ship has arrived at the dock, it’s from the Seven Islands Alliance.”

A robust and obedient Ganote servant humbly entered the hall, reporting to his master:

“The people on board request you to meet with them immediately, saying they have brought weapons that can suppress the enemy.”

“The Seven Islands Alliance? What are those pirates doing here?”

Mayor Pat raised an eyebrow in surprise, yet he was indeed interested in those weapons that could suppress the enemy, so he left the town hall and rode a carriage towards the dock.

On the other side, in the bottom cabin of the merchant ship that had just docked, a disguised Scholar and Slave Master were bowing respectfully to a middle-aged Priest wearing a black ritual robe and mask.

“We’ve come to pick you up, Honorable Abbot.”

The Scholar softly said:

“The Star Realm Passage is ready, please summon our people immediately; it must be fast, as the temporary tunnel could be discovered at any time by Murphy’s collaborator, the cunning and vicious ‘Serpent of the Endless’ Mannis.”

“We won’t use it this time.”

The Twilight Leader, nicknamed “Abbot”, patted the wooden crate beside him and shook his head:

“This valuable ‘trophy’ cannot be transported through the Star Realm, we can only use the old method; the Martink Trading Company’s fleet is about to set sail back to the Old Continent, our people will board those ships to return, we must be discreet, especially when the Creator’s light arrow hovers above the sky at this delicate moment, it’s better not to attract more attention from that ‘chosen by the Creator God’.”

“But such blatant return trips from the New Continent will surely arouse the Demigods’ vigilance.”

The Slave Master softly said:

“During your travels, a lot has happened in the Old Continent.”

“So, we won’t take the traditional route.”

The Abbot waved his hand and said:

“A portion of people will first head to Port of Joseph, disguised as merchant ships trading with the Far East Lands, while the remaining ships carrying our trophies will take a roundabout route through the Savage Sea Domain, bypassing the extreme northern Frozen Sea, along the coast of the West Sacha Barbarians in the far north into the Stormy Sea. Through Ice Bay, finally landing in the Saxon Region. This is a route never taken before, fraught with many difficulties and dangers, but once reaching the destination, we can recover from a series of defeats and reach infinitely close to our ultimate goal. I have mobilized all the companions from the New Continent to embark on that wonderful future together.”

“But if they leave, won’t the New Federal United States be stripped of its backbone?”

The Scholar said in surprise:

“Compared to the Old Continent, the rabble here in the New Continent is our basic foundation, now without our support, these pioneers will certainly be devoured alive by the Ganote and Aztec people.”

“Well, my friend, it’s necessary sacrifices for the greater cause.”

The Abbot said in a sympathetic tone:

“Moreover, considering what our pioneer friends have done in the New Continent over the past fifty years, their descent into Hell is well deserved. Perhaps the initial confrontation was instigated by us, but the escalation to the point of genocide was all their own efforts. Though we practice doomsdayism, not all the blame should be heaped upon us. People… Always have to bear the consequences of their choices, especially those desires… ha, ugly things.”
