Get Stronger by Pleasing Pokémon? Who Needs to Be a Trainer!

”Quick, let me touch it!”

As soon as Lucario appeared, Lin Feng immediately stepped forward. Seeing that the Lucario, once taller than him, now seemed a little shorter, he couldn’t resist reaching out to pat its head.

Even after living in the forest for years, Lucario’s fur hadn’t become dry or greasy. Instead, it was sleek and smooth.

Though Lin Feng rarely saw him at the forest cabin, Lucario actually returned to Uncle Liang’s home every day after patrolling the forest.

”Luca…”

Lucario’s emotions stirred slightly.

In the blink of an eye, the small Riolu that had once barely reached Lin Feng’s waist had grown into a capable Pokémon.

Before, it was Lin Feng who had patted Lucario’s head. Now, Lucario, a fully grown Lucario, didn’t resist the affection. Instead, it leaned against Lin Feng’s hand, almost as if asking:

”Luca…” (You want me to teach it to master Aura, right?)

Earlier, while observing from the shadows, Lucario had already noticed that Serperior could wield Aura. However, it seemed to have just begun controlling it, as its use was still clumsy.

”Yes, yes, yes!”

Lin Feng’s eyes lit up at Lucario’s words.

When it came to Aura mastery, Lucario was undoubtedly the best. Inviting him to train Serperior would be ideal.

”Show me, show me…”

Serperior slid over, moving to Lin Feng’s side.

Lucario nodded, his gaze shifting between Serperior, Lin Feng, Gardevoir, and Froslass perched on Lin Feng’s shoulder.

”Luca…” (I can sense that each of you has clear Aura. This means you all possess the power of Aura.)

Even this alone stunned him.

Aura!

Although all living things have energy fields, most are incredibly weak. Lucario’s Aura, however, was immensely strong. His family had always excelled at using Aura, far beyond ordinary Pokémon or humans.

Only a very few with extremely pure hearts could perceive and manipulate it.

Even his own trainer had yet to fully master Aura, and Lucario knew this well.

But now, before him, so many Pokémon could wield Aura!

Especially Serperior.

Finally, Lucario fixed his gaze on Serperior.

He could feel its energy becoming more refined…

Lucario could not find the right word. Advanced? Yes, perhaps more advanced.

This was outrageous!

Yet…

It stirred something in his heart, long calmed by years in the forest.

Lucario was already fully grown, and his trainer was even older.

Battles and fighting were no longer their way of life.

But before, all Pokémon with Aura had been young, still developing. They wanted their Aura to flourish.

His thoughts slowly steadied, and Lucario suppressed the mix of emotions swelling inside him.

He spoke slowly: ”Luca.” (Speaking of Aura, you all possess it. You should know that all things have Aura, and it varies in strength and size.)

There were many ways to use it.

Weak Aura could sense the surrounding environment, while powerful Aura could condense into Aura Spheres to attack opponents.

Lin Feng and his Pokémon gathered quickly, listening intently.

Lucario paused, concentrating to form an Aura Sphere.

The sphere flew a short distance before dropping into a shallow pit in the ground.

This was merely a demonstration. With stable energy control, this rough usage could be mastered after just a few days of practice.

”Luca~” (Actually, Fighting-type Pokémon are the most suited to using Aura in battle.)

”Luca…” (Since Fighting-types usually fight up close, the more adept you are at using Aura, the better you can anticipate your opponent’s moves and detect their evasive habits while executing your own attacks.)

”Micro-control?” Lin Feng muttered instinctively.

”Luca?”

Lucario didn’t immediately understand.

Lin Feng explained: ”Like in battle, your opponent’s movements appear slowed down through Aura sensing. Then, based on that, you can perform attacks or dodges accordingly.”

Lucario nodded approvingly.

He found this explanation very vivid.

”Luca…” (However, this requires applying Aura in daily life and gradually training at different intensities.)

(Of course, in the early stage, you can quickly familiarize yourself with it in battle.)

(The best beginner method is to blindfold Serperior, then use Aura to sense the surrounding energy, practicing both dodging and attacking.)

”Is that right?”

Lin Feng fell into thought.

”Luca.” (That’s how I trained before.) Lucario recalled his previous training records.

Lin Feng thanked him: ”Good, very helpful, thank you.”

”Luca.” Lucario nodded, then leapt into the shade of a large tree, disappearing in an instant.

Lin Feng called after him: ”Come by the nursery for a meal when you have time!”

He then turned to Serperior. ”Did you hear that? You need to be blindfolded and practice dodging and attacking.”

The method was actually simple.

Lin Feng had seen similar scenes in the movie Lucario and the Mystery of Mew.

In Lucario’s memory, he and Aaron repeatedly dodged along rolling logs in perfect coordination.

Now, Uncle Liang’s Lucario had explained the principle directly, which would prevent Lin Feng from taking wrong turns while training Serperior.

”Show me, show me.”

Serperior nodded, lowering its head at Lin Feng’s cue.

Lin Feng chuckled softly, producing a black cloth from somewhere to cover Serperior’s eyes.

The moment its vision was blocked, Serperior instinctively flicked its tongue.

Without sight, it relied on its tongue to sense temperature in the environment.

Typically, this allowed it to detect nearby creatures’ body heat.

This was common among most serpentine Pokémon.

Unexpectedly, Lin Feng covered its tongue as well. ”No, don’t use your tongue. It won’t help much.”

”Show me, show me…”

Serperior, not yet accustomed to using Aura, curled instinctively when suddenly blinded.

Lin Feng stayed close. Its coiled body quickly wrapped around him, leaving him momentarily stunned.

He blinked, then muttered with a slight blush, ”Ah? Hey, hey, hey, Serperior…”
