Get Stronger by Pleasing Pokémon? Who Needs to Be a Trainer!

[C-Rank Moomoo Milk — Milk produced by Miltank in their Elite stage. When consumed regularly by newborn Pokémon, it strengthens the body and supplies most nutrients essential for growth.]

Due to the relatively low strength of his three Miltank, the milk they produced was currently only rated at C-Rank.

However, the yield was quite substantial. Each Miltank could provide Lin Feng with half a bucket of fresh milk.

Lin Feng roughly estimated the capacity of his metal buckets. One bucket held about 14 liters.

Which meant that, altogether, the three Miltank had given him around 21 liters of Moomoo Milk.

From this first batch, he planned to reserve a portion to blend with A-Rank Moomoo Milk to create various foods like yogurt and cakes for his own Pokémon. The rest would be sold at his shop.

”Thank you for your hard work!”

He brought out some of the green dumplings he’d made earlier that morning and fed them to the three Miltank one by one, making sure their happiness levels were all above 70 before returning them to their Poké Balls.

After the milking was done and the warm milk had cooled down slightly, Lin Feng divided it into two parts. One portion went into the refrigerator for storage, while the other he carried into the breeding house.

The rich, creamy aroma of Moomoo Milk in the summer instantly drew the attention of nearly everyone inside the shop.

In truth, since his shop operated mainly as a ”buy and go” business, there weren’t many people lingering around at the moment just a handful of customers.

”Hey, young man, is this… a new product you’re releasing?”

Seeing Lin Feng carrying a bucket of milk, one customer couldn’t help but ask.

Lin Feng nodded with a smile. ”That’s right. Once it’s officially graded, this Moomoo Milk will be on sale here in the shop. And this first batch is for everyone to have a taste.”

Saying this, he walked over to the counter, pulled out a large glass dispenser he’d cleaned the day before with a spigot at the bottom and poured all the fresh milk into it. Then he turned to Qin Shu and said:

”Today, anyone who’s bought Pokéblocks can use their own container to get a free serving of Moomoo Milk. Of course, don’t go overboard. The limit is around 200 milliliters each so there’s enough for other customers.”

”Got it. I understand!”

Qin Shu nodded seriously.

At a salary of ten thousand yuan a month for just half-day shifts, the job gave the young woman excellent motivation. She’d even lost some of her former enthusiasm for training Pokémon because of how much she valued her work.

”No way, free samples like this too?”

The customers who’d already been glancing over curiously when Lin Feng appeared with a bucket of milk were now downright intrigued.

The mention of a free giveaway lit up their eyes.

One young man, holding a selfie stick and browsing the shelves, rushed over the moment he heard the announcement. He darted up to the counter and exclaimed:

”Miss, me, me, me! I’m here every day buying Pokéblocks. You’ve definitely seen me, right? Look, I’ve even got a water bottle right here.”

As he spoke, he chugged the rest of the bottled water he’d bought at the town entrance and handed over the empty bottle.

”Mhm.”

Qin Shu nodded and thought for a second. She took out a disposable cup, estimated the volume carefully, and judged that about two cups was roughly 200 milliliters. She poured it precisely and handed it over.

Beaming, Luan Ming took back his bottle and uncapped it. Just one sniff of the milk confirmed to this seasoned product-taster that this was indeed C-Rank Moomoo Milk.

”Holy crap! C-Rank Moomoo Milk? Dude, you’re seriously this generous?”

Luan Ming looked utterly stunned.

Milk produced by Miltank even the lowest quality, D-Rank variety wasn’t cheap.

Even D-Rank Moomoo Milk typically sold for 300 to 500 yuan per 500 milliliters on the market.

Prices fluctuated depending on the season.

As for C-Rank Moomoo Milk, back when his Munchlax had first hatched, Luan Ming had once fed it C-Rank milk for a week to give it the best possible start in life and it had cost him a total of 350,000 yuan!

Nobody knew better than him how valuable the milk in his hands truly was.

Lin Feng chuckled and replied, ”This is just the very first batch of Moomoo Milk. The quality will only keep improving from here. Besides, the breeding house is newly opened, and I’m grateful to all of you for traveling out here to visit. It’s only fair to give everyone some benefits. There’ll be more new products and other services in the future.”

He wasn’t exactly an expert in business or marketing.

But he understood one thing: only by letting people feel they’d truly gained something would they remember your shop.

Luan Ming immediately raised his selfie stick again, visibly excited. ”Everyone, see this? This is the breeding house I come to every single day. That’s why I keep recommending this place so strongly. Don’t be fooled by how remote it is. Whether it’s the quality of the Pokéblocks, the prices, or how good-looking the shop owner is… it’s all top-tier!”

”Hey, boss, look at the camera!”

With that, he pointed the selfie stick toward himself and Lin Feng.

Lin Feng blinked in surprise. Then, noticing the thousands of viewers in the live stream, he quickly composed himself.

”Huh? Hello, everyone! I’m Lin Feng, owner and breeder at Neighbour’s Breeding House.”

Inside, he felt a flicker of amazement. He’d never expected this regular customer, who showed up every day with a selfie stick, to have such a huge following.

[Huh? Is this the breeder that streamer keeps praising? He looks so young. He almost seems underage… But, yeah, he’s kind of cute.]

[Hey cutie, are you sure you’re not paying Luan for all this promotion?]

[C-Rank Moomoo Milk, just giving it away? That’s seriously generous.]

[Is the Pokéblock they’re selling really that amazing?]

[Wait, what’s that white shadow in the background?]

[It’s an Alolan Vulpix! It’s coming over!]

[It just jumped into the owner’s arms! It’s sticking out its tongue, and it’s pink! Oh my god, my heart can’t take it!]

…

At some point during all the commotion, little Vulpix had woken up in the back room and padded out into the breeding house on light, delicate steps. When she spotted Lin Feng, her joy multiplied instantly.

Her six fluffy tails swished back and forth.

Newborn Pokémon were like that sleeping for a while, then playing for a while, full of lively energy.

This pattern would gradually shift as they grew older, usually after about a week.

Resigned, Lin Feng scooped her up into his arms. Then he glanced again at the live stream screen.

Only now did he realize that what had once been a barrage of curious questions in the comments had completely transformed into:

[Is this in Wutong City? I heard there’s a Grass-type Gym there. I was planning on heading straight to Changsha City, but now I absolutely have to check out this breeder’s Alolan Vulpix!]

[Anyone want to team up? I’m going too.]

[Count me in as well.]

[She’s too adorable. I was already tempted, but now it’s official I have to go visit.]

”Huh?”

Lin Feng stared blankly at the little Alolan Vulpix snuggling into his chest. Her crystalline, ice-blue eyes blinked innocently, radiating pure cuteness.

He couldn’t help wondering to himself. I didn’t even do any real promotion, did I?

Vulpix: (≧︶≦))(￣▽￣)

Little Vulpix had no idea she was now the center of attention for thousands of people watching online.
