Get Stronger by Pleasing Pokémon? Who Needs to Be a Trainer!

Inside the plantation.

The blazing sun was steadily climbing higher in the sky.

Lin Feng had to admit, Uncle Zhang really took his affairs to heart. Early that morning, several large trucks had already arrived, loaded with building materials.

And as per Lin Feng’s specifications, construction on the cowshed had begun and had been underway non-stop until now.

Carrying a tray piled with chilled watermelon slices and stamina Pokéblocks, Lin Feng hurried over to the workers.

”Thanks for all your hard work, masters. Please, have some watermelon. And for Machop and Timburr, here are some stamina Pokéblocks.”

There were five workers in total, clearly seasoned professionals. All of them were shirtless, muscular, tanned, and each accompanied by a Fighting-type Pokémon.

The leader of this construction crew was named Huba, a man in his forties with a broad frame.

Hearing Lin Feng call out, he quickly shouted to his crew, ”Alright, everyone, take five! Little Lin’s treating us to a snack.”

The workers left their posts one after another. The sight of the ruby-red watermelon flesh instantly had them swallowing hard.

One older worker grabbed a slice and took a big bite.

With genuine admiration, he exclaimed, ”I’m not kidding, young man. Your plantation is the best I’ve ever seen in all my years on the job. This watermelon is absolutely top-notch!”

Lin Feng laughed and replied, ”As long as you enjoy it!” He passed out the Pokéblocks to the hardworking Fighting-types, then turned his gaze back to check the cowshed’s progress.

The cowshed was being built at the far end of the plantation, right behind the pasture. They had to dismantle part of the existing fencing and extend it outward.

The design was a direct copy of the setup at the Miltank ranch a simple low-roofed shelter with sunshades, plastic curtains draped around the sides, and eventually an air conditioner installed inside.

The only difference was the smaller scale. This cowshed would hold at most around ten Miltank.

Lin Feng had also checked the land behind the shed. It was a wide, flat area, overgrown with a few scraggly trees and lots of weeds. Once the shed was finished, he planned to clear out the trees and weeds, then have Sandslash help turn the soil over so he could plant it all with pasture grass.

That way, the Miltank would have a proper area to roam and graze.

With the help of several Fighting-type Pokémon, the entire cowshed would probably be finished in just a day or two.

As Lin Feng was pondering all this, a soft, milk-sweet voice floated over from the entrance of the plantation.

”Ying-ying-ying~?”

Snivy had arrived, leading little Vulpix. Having just hatched, Vulpix was brimming with curiosity, pattering across the ground on snowy-pink paws and investigating everything.

When she got bored, she scampered over to Lin Feng’s side and began rubbing against his leg, leaving a cool, icy sensation on his skin.

”Snivy.”

(She seems like she wants to play with you.)

Snivy added this quietly as she trailed behind.

”Mhm.”

Lin Feng nodded, then bent down to pick up Vulpix. Looking into her pure, innocent eyes, he couldn’t resist tickling her under her tiny armpits. Immediately, Vulpix let out a squealing, ”Ying-ying-ying,” grinning and squirming as her pristine white fur shimmered around her.

”Ying-ying-ying...”

(No... stop it...)

”Hehehe, oh, but I just want to...”

Hearing the meaning in Vulpix’s adorable cries, Lin Feng couldn’t help but break into a mischievous grin.

Pokémon babies were simply too much fun.

When Vulpix was practically crying from laughter, Lin Feng finally carried her over to the water tank, gently washing the dirt from her paws.

”Look at these little paws, all covered in mud. You need to learn to coat your paws in Ice-type energy so they don’t get dirty, understand? Otherwise, I’m going to tickle you again next time.”

”Ying-ying-ying...”

(I... I don’t understand...)

”...Alright, you’re still too little.”

After playing with Vulpix for a bit, Lin Feng gave her a small serving of mixed Moomoo Milk (a blend of regular Moomoo Milk with a splash of A-Rank milk). The little one was quickly worn out, her energy spent, and she began nodding off.

Lin Feng carried her back into the breeding house.

Once Vulpix was settled, he grabbed a metal bucket and headed back out into the plantation. There, he released the three Miltank from their Poké Balls.

”Moo-moo~?”

The Miltank glanced at the metal bucket in Lin Feng’s hands and immediately knew what was about to happen. They crowded closer to him.

Although this was technically their first time being milked, the instincts bred into Miltank’s genes meant they understood exactly what was coming.

Besides, these were ranch-raised Miltank. They were already very familiar with the concept of being milked.

Lin Feng, however, couldn’t help feeling a bit embarrassed as he looked at the three young Miltank. A strange nervousness crept over him.

”Ahem... This will be my first time milking, so if I’m too rough, please let me know, okay?”

He silently worried whether his skills as a Pokémon Breeder would be enough not to hurt them.

”Moo-moo~!”

The Miltank surrounded him, calling out reassuringly as if to say everything was fine.

Their milk was meant to be extracted, after all. Once produced, it was natural to be milked, whether to nourish baby Pokémon or to be stored for future use.

In other words, Miltank were inherently gentle and generous Pokémon.

Especially when...

Their trainer was feeding them such delicious food every day.

If they could eat like this for a lifetime, they’d gladly agree to being milked for a lifetime, too.

”Whew...” Lin Feng exhaled, finally relaxing a little. ”Then... thank you all very much.”
